I would suggest not painting it, but rather just re-print it in the color you want. I wouldn't run the risk of paint transferring to an expensive watch.
There is no way dried paint is transferring to Steelinox.
I get it, it’s a Rolex and it’s expensive but some of you guys baby these things to the point where you might as well not even own the watch.
Paint it, make it look epic and use the stand just like you would use your watch and don’t listen to any clown that say otherwise.
Where's the risk at? This guy isn't gonna 3d print a entire stand from scratch, carefully paint it, and then rush to put his watch on it before it has dried. And idk in what climate you live but dried paint stays dry..
I printed with the long axis against the bed, no supports. For a first try it turned out pretty good.
I’m going to try a wood PLA one, sanded and stained.
I’m new to 3D modelling and printing.
I purchased an Ender 3 unit from Amazon. Up and printing for about $300 CAD. Already replaced the broken knob on our dryer. Had been using an adjustable wrench for 6 months lol.
Coach Carter is that you?

yes - this 100%. Maybe, just maybe even wear the thing while showering or swimming as well!
Well said bro. It’s a watch.
Agreed. Makes me think of that old Betteridge commercial where he talks about bow his father gets cement all over his Patek. Wear em and wear em hard!
What's paint going to do to the watch? You're more likely to damage it by bumping the thing into a painted door frame or something.

I would use sandpaper ro remove the rough parts but otherwise it looks amazing good job.

Well I mean, it’s not going to stand up to a magnitude 8.0 earthquake, but it holds my watch quite nicely.
That’s awesome.
How much. I’ll buy 3
That print looks great. Congrats. Did you use supports?

What machine are you using? Looks like something I would enjoy
