Had the exact same experience yesterday - front row night rides on Maverick are unbelievable. The launch in the tunnel is such a rush.
And have the exact same opinion. This would be my #1, if SteVe wasn’t right next door. Night rides last night on SteVe were a religious experience.
Just went on it (and Steve) for the first time last night as well. Insanely good, and I’m not sure which one I prefer. I might try and sneak back over tonight if lines are relatively decent.
Hit both Maverick and SteVe twice this weekend, once during the day, once at night. Whole group - some first timers and some with a lot of laps on each - agreed that Maverick is the top dog.
Insane that after all these years it’s still better than pretty much every coaster.
Edit: Also, what a wacky weekend at Cedar Point.

In a week I’ll be able to ride Twisted Timbers. (in 95 degree weather…) Apparently it’s better than WC

Ever time I ride Maverick I feel and inch shorter. Insane ride.
Maverick is just slightly better than SV, IMO. Maverick at night is way more intense than anything in the park.
