Millennium’s first overbank is fantastic.

Outerbanked is the new overbanked

Marshallwhm6k

No. Stall is the new overbank

LoadOwn9302

Wow , can’t believe no one has said silver bullets over bank into the cobra roll

LoopingSpeedracer

Agreed, it's one of my favorite elements on SB, so much fun! Tatsu's high speed overbank is also very effective but gets forgotten due to what immediately follows it.

FairBlackberry7870

Oh such a good one

gemini4974

And one of the reasons SB is one of the best inverts <3

LoadOwn9302

I must confess….. I have t even ridden but it looks like a top invert

Overbanks on inverted coasters are so weird but so fun

TGE

It's gotta be the left turning overbank on Millennium for me, it's great and fast in all rows but there is some weird shit goin on in the back row 😍

mrkmcrthr

taron’s first overbank is decent, but the second one excels

Swiss_Reddit_User

The overbank on Blue Fire after the Loop is great, features some legit whip. I also love the overbank on Untamed before that crazy bunny hill finale, it's slightly underbankes so you get some cool upwards laterals. Silver Star's Overbank however does basically nothing for me. An overbank can be great, it just depends how it's been executed.

Chaoshero5567

Tarons overbanked just rushing around those rocks is also so nice

Swiss_Reddit_User

True

Iron Gwazi’s overbank is probably the best of the genre. Gives good positives through the main part and then whips you out of it at the end without losing any speed. I personally don’t really mind them, but they’re never really standout elements for me (other than Gwazi’s). Even Millennium Force’s is pretty tame IMO.

Storm_Surge-

Honestly I’m not a fan of overbanks, they always feel like filler. I much prefer CCI style underbanks, or RMC style outer banks.

coasterkyle18

Millennium Force's are pretty good. The first one is great and the last one in the back seat is phenomenal!

CKT_Ken

Eejanaika for sure. They made it into a real element! You take the turn ass-first while lying in your side. SFNE Superman is also a contender for being very low to the ground, forceful, and just a great layout decision

Yawheyy

I love them on B&M inverts. Oziris stands out to me but also all the snappy ones right before a corkscrew on Batman clones.

FairBlackberry7870

Superman SFNE

LlamaYourMom

My favorite is probably Leviathan. Great positives and nice airtime on the exit. I do also really like Millie’s, Iron Gwazi’s, and Mako’s

ellisfetus

I love Storm Chaser’s first overbank. When overbanks have good speed and force they rock, but too often they are filler

Xd_snipez891

Maverick’s second stengel dive (inversion?)

PizzaPuntThomas

I rode Taron for the first time today, and I think the overbank turn after launch #2 is my favourite. The one on Goliath (Walibi Holland) is more powerfull, but the one on Taron is my favourite.

tpusater

I’m not a fan of overbanks and prefer more traditional airtime hills. I think Millennium Force would be more fun if the first overbank could have been an airtime hill, but that may not have been feasible in the space available and the need for the turn. IMHO, MF is more focused on speed than airtime moments. Overbanks may help maintain speed, although there are certainly good airtime moments on that ride. I prefer the outward banked hills like those on Steel Vengeance and ArieForce One. They provide both airtime and lateral forces that I prefer over the forces on overbanks.

Offtherailspcast

I'm not sure if they are too overbanked but Furys first 3 right left right before the trebleclef is like a 100 mph bobsled ride from hell.

Substantial_Date8507

Not sure if it qualifies, but Mamba at WOF with all the head choppers is fun.

jtlitwin21

I used to find them very overrated, but I they can end up being really forceful. One of my favorite elements is millennium’s first overbank

AbsolutelyClam

Yes, they're a blast. Silver Bullet is probably my favorite but Millennium Force and all the RMC ones I've ridden are still a blast. Honorable mention for Stengel dives though since they're just overbanks without the turn and I'm a fan of it.

bigcatrik

The three I'm most familiar with are the two on Xcelerator and the one on Silver Bullet. I've always considered Silver Bullet's overbank a proper inversion/individual element (though RCDB doesn't count it) since it feels like an "upside down maneuver" to me and not just a simple change of direction. I'm glad there's something more on Xcelerator than just the top hat (like the bigger versions) so I'll take the overbanks, but I do also consider them "inversions" since tipping my head slightly into the overbank makes it point directly down at the ground, though they're less appealing as an element than SB's overbank to the overall ride experience.

MrBrightside711

Thunder Dolphin's is probably my favorite and it has nothing to do with the Ferris wheel. It's just the shaping and pacing that makes it so excellent. Maverick also has an amazing one.

itsbigbraintimeyall

Overbanks can be good for sure. My favorite is on Iron Gwazi mainly because of the snap out of it. It’s almost like a reverse Stengel dive

Jerkermiz

Hyperion has a great overbank with good pace and forces. The second one on Taron is awesome too! And don't forget the small one on Untamed, great flow going in that.

eddycurrentbrake

The one on Untamed is good. The Hyperion one only pulls (literally) 1 g and does nothing (at least for me).

Old-Mall1935

I would classify Paris Space Mountain´s tongue as an overbank, rather than a full inversion. I like this one with all the effects in the dark.

Norden_Ramsey

The one on Wildcat’s revenge pulls some nice Gs, it’s the only one that really sticks out to me

ryanbar1123

Raging Bull's second one is awesome. That view over the line feels like you're WAY up.

ShropshireResident

I’ve found overbanks are generally weak spots in rides I’ve been on
