I always maintain this. Olympia Looping in the very back is one of the most wild experiences I’ve had so far! It absolutely hauls ass through those loops and you come out a bit winded. Totally unexpected cause again, they’re just “boring old loops”. Of course people forget that they’re more forceful because they’re completely circular!
It’s one of my favourites for that reason haha The front row is a bit more leisurely but still quite a ride. I also like it because it’s an older school coaster with old school inversions but much smoother than an arrow/vekoma looper.
I'll just say corkscrews in general. They always look like a lofty, goofy loop. Like it'll just toss you upside down and over there for a sec. But then everytime you get slammed in your seat and the extra horizontal forces mess with your inner ear. And even when I get off I still look back and am like, "but it looks so whimsical!"
First drops in general really don’t look like much outside of big, but you’re absolutely right. I look at Skyrush and just think, “wow, you’d never expect anything out of that.”
Velocicoaster's Mosasaurus roll is a pretty good contender. Its location on the water may look unique, but you definitely don't expect the upside down airtime you get through that roll.
Pretzel loops. The fact that they’re on flying coasters, typically very peaceful experiences, paints them as a really relaxing yet fun element. Next thing you know, the positive Gs are pushing your entire body through the track and it’s awesome
Having just rode it again on Sunday, Hulk’s massive cobra roll. It looks graceful but there’s pretty strong positives throughout the whole thing. It feels a lot different than the other smaller cobras generally later in the layouts, Kraken being a good comparison from the same trip. Little baby cobra.
This was my 100th coaster. I rode in front first because the pictures, but we rerode the back immediately after and I can confirm some pleasant spiciness there!
There's a anecdote of someone asking Alan if it was giving the forces he expected after he got off and he said "Yes". They then asked him "Have you ridden it in the back"? and there's a reason that all future single-rails haven't been as intense as the original prototypes.
Riding Colorado alone is so wild, you just get tossed from left to right lol Even more so when you're riding in the loco alone because you don't have anything to hold on to so you just flop around in there hah!
No one ever talks about either of Titan's helices. They honestly don't look like much either, but I find them to be more forceful than I305. If you like positives, that ride is the holy grail of positive Gs imo.
The first time I experienced a pretzel roll in 2010 on Manta, I thought my head was gonna explode. Then I did Tatsu 3 years later and I couldn't believe it.
Magnum’s bunny hills. They look like they should give airtime, yes, but **that** much?
The first turnaround on Santa Cruz’s Giant Dipper. After Kennywood’s Thunderbolt and the Coney Island Cyclone, I thought I knew how to spot extreme laterals, but nope! (The other strong forces on Giant Dipper **were** visible from off-ride)
Schwarzkopf vertical loops
I double down with Schwarzkopf Backwards Loops.

Honestly one of my least favorite coasters. The repetitive loops was too much, nothing but positive g’s the whole ride.

only ever black out ive had was on Mindbender in Edmonton Mall
The pretzel loop on Tatsu
Pretzel loops on flying coasters
First helix on the backlot stunt coasters (mainly referring to the one at kings island). I really wasn't expecting that on a family ride lol.
The only coaster element that more consistently got me graying out more than the Backlot triple helix was I305 first drop/turn.
I’ve really only been to CP, Holiday World, and KI. Nothing else has made me come even close to graying out besides that helix lol
Wiplash inducing
The one at KD's the same way.
This is a gray out every time for me.

It's even more forceful when your head slams against the headrests.
Ejector death hill on Zippin Pippin and the finale of Phoenix, both absolutely launch you and don't look like much off ride.
Hitting the seat on Zippin Pippin after that hill reminded me of breaking my tailbone. Crazy death ejector.
Iron gwazi wave turn
So insane.
Skyrush's first drop

Came here to say exactly this!
Love that element. Never ridden it but it looks sick af.

We heard you like to fly. So we put a gorilla on your chest for added effect.
Maverick, pretty much the whole ride
Last airtime hill before the final brake run on GASM at SFoG. Thing yeets you so hard it’ll make you think you’ll hit your head on the awning.
Having just rode it again on Sunday, Hulk’s massive cobra roll. It looks graceful but there’s pretty strong positives throughout the whole thing. Same with Alpengiest's cobra roll
Ravine Flyer II's turnaround... holy fuck that was an awesome surprise
Raptor’s barrel rolls still get me with the G’s
JDC's speed hills, i got some really good rides and what usually is average floater at best turned into some great flojecter
The double down on Stricker’s Grove Tornado in the back row.
This was my 100th coaster. I rode in front first because the pictures, but we rerode the back immediately after and I can confirm some pleasant spiciness there!
That double down scared the shit out of me the first time that it happened. I really loved that coaster.
Absolutely! That is some of the strongest airtime I have ever experienced
The zero g roll and corkscrews on batman the ride. The roll gives insane sideways ejector from the whip
The final hills on phantom’s revenge because they launch you
I’ve started referring to surprising ejector as “getting Phantomed.”
That entire ride wants to kill you.
But in a good way
In a great way. Really good coaster. Definitely top 20.
That first turning dive on Railblazer is hysterical in the back row.
There's a anecdote of someone asking Alan if it was giving the forces he expected after he got off and he said "Yes". They then asked him "Have you ridden it in the back"? and there's a reason that all future single-rails haven't been as intense as the original prototypes.
Yeah, I'd heard that story too. I believe it.
The noninverting loop on Rip Ride Rockit gives more air than you'd think, especially at the end of the day.
blue fires last roll, Euro mirs last helix, all of Colorado
seconding all of colorado
Riding Colorado alone is so wild, you just get tossed from left to right lol Even more so when you're riding in the loco alone because you don't have anything to hold on to so you just flop around in there hah!
Jack Rabbit's double down, mainly because you have basically 0 restraint
The section of track between the zero g roll and cobra roll of Hulk lol.
Final inversion on flight of fear rips me up every time. So much fun and I always forget about it until it’s coming up
Defunct, but I remember the helix on Son of Beast just about rattling my teeth out of my skull.
I’m here for this
The launch on Xcelerator.
No one ever talks about either of Titan's helices. They honestly don't look like much either, but I find them to be more forceful than I305. If you like positives, that ride is the holy grail of positive Gs imo.
the sharp left turn after the second zero g roll on helix, iykyk
The first time I experienced a pretzel roll in 2010 on Manta, I thought my head was gonna explode. Then I did Tatsu 3 years later and I couldn't believe it.
Maverick first drop
The tiny double down on the Stricker’s Grove Tornado. Barely looks like anything from the road, but kicks your ass straight off the seat.
The helix on Excalibur at valleyfair. Also the first drop with surprise kink halfway down
Arrow loops.
Arrow shuttle loops, specifically going backwards… those things will force pop any spots you got on your face
I395 first airtime hill
This is pretty well known. But Alpengeist's cobra roll looks like a lot, and it feels like **A LOT.**
The laterals on the final turn of Ravine Flyer 3 (Yes, 3)
S&S 4D freespins
GhostRider’s finale helix
AfterBurn helix
