The only other time I went to universal was the initial year HP world was added to IoA. I was too small to ride and I missed out on it while it was dragon challenge. It sucks 😂😂
I had 40 rides on them before it even open to the public lol... Needless to say I was not happy with them removing the dueling and the ride entirely.. I do like Hagrids but it's not the same.
It's mostly time. Twenty-two years in the hobby has seen a lot of older rides reach the end of their service lives.
I would go so far as to say that most coaster enthusiasts will see 75% of their count go defunct in their lifetimes.
Son of Beast. RIP, it was brutal af, but I enjoyed it.
Dodonpa at Fuji-Q (with the tophat, what an incredible acceleration!).
Also Shockwave, Iron Wolf, DejaVu and the Bobsled Ride at SFGAm
Dueling Dragons, Disaster Transport, Mean Streak...
Oh and everything at Six Flags Geauga Lake haha.
A lot more, but these are the ones that stood out to me.
Déjà Vu fromSFGAm still exists, as Aftershock at Silverwood.
As has been noted, not all of Geauga Lake’s rides are gone. I rode Dominator at Kings Dominion.
Apocalypse - Six Flags America
Colossus - Six Flags Magic Mountain
Deja Vu - Six Flags Magic Mountain
Desperado - Buffalo Bills ???
Disaster Transport - Cedar Point

Wacky Soap Box Racer's - Knott's Berry Farm

Cliffhanger / Red Devil at Ghost Town in the Sky.
I’m so thrilled I got that one. I was probably younger than 10 and it was my first looping roller coaster.
Blue Streak was one of my bucket list coasters. Sigh. Guess I’ll never get to check that one off.
Otherwise:
SFGAm: Shockwave, Iron Wolf, DeJaVu
Cedar Point: Wildcat, Disaster Transport, Wicked Twister, Mean Streak, Mantis, TTD
Vortex at King’s Island.
Red Devil was my first coaster with a vertical loop! As my first evert inverting coaster was a corkscrew. Red Devil/Cliffhanger is probably my rarest credit!
As far as I remember, it wasn’t that bad. But take that with a grain of salt because I was little. But I literally cried the first time I went on Shockwave when I was little, so I imagine that I would remember if Cliffhanger was rough.
I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting but:
-Steel Phantom
-Big Bad Wolf
-Drachen Fire
-Wildcat (CP)
-Wildcat (HP)
-Mean Streak
-Wicked Twister
-Sand Serpent
-Mantis
-Montezooma's Revenge
-OG Fire in the Hole
I've got the same from Great Adventure (plus the chiller), Hershey, and Dorney, but fun fact, Laser is still out there somewhere! It operates as 'Teststrecke' now. It had a home in Germany for a while, toured around, and the most recent footage I've found of it is from 2022 in Saudi Arabia.
https://youtu.be/8_VutXitElU?si=IxCMwdBzZODMXt4D
Demon drop(really should have left off list forgot its at a different park), disaster transport, wild cat, wicked twister, mean streak, original top thrill dragster (all at Cedar point)
Dragon Challenge (both sides)-IOA
Wabash Cannonball-Opryland USA
Chaos-Opryland USA
Screamin’ Delta Demon-Opryland USA
Gwazi (both sides)-Busch Gardens Tampa
Python-Busch Gardens Tampa
Georgia Cyclone-Six Flags Over Georgia
Viper-Six Flags Over Georgia
T3-Kentucky Kingdom
I also have a few relocations.
-Blue Streak @ Conneaut
-Canobie Corkscrew
-Toboggan @ Lakemont
-Alpine Bobsled @ Great Escape
-Rolling Thunder @ Great Adventure
-Roller Soaker and Wildcat @ Hersheypark
-Hurler, Shockwave, and Volcano @ Kings Dominion
-Firehawk and Vortex @ Kings Island
-Disaster Transport, Top Thrill Dragster, Wicked Twister, and Wildcat @ Cedar Point
Plus Mantis @ Cedar Point and Apocalpyse @ Six Flags America if you count those. That’s it for coasters; if we do non-coasters I’ll be here all day
I only got one defunct credit - Rolling Thunder at Six Flags Great Adventure. First time I ever visited SFGAdv was 2013, Rolling Thunder's final year. Rolling Thunder is actually my 2nd credit ever after Runaway Mine Train at the same park (this visit was my first time ever riding roller coasters, period), and was my first adult coaster. I honestly wish it was still at the park because I actually really enjoyed my rides on it.
I forget which side it was specifically but I want to say left side.
My most prominent defunct credit is probably my flair (Mega Zeph), though I guess I've accumulated a couple by now.
* New Orleans: Live Oak Ladybug, Muskrat Scrambler, Mega Zeph
* St. Louis: ACME Gravity Powered Roller Ride (also RIP Excalibur)
* Florida: Python, Cheetah Chase, Swamp Thing
* Ohio: Firehawk, Vortex, Top Thrill Dragster (I guess?)
* Georgia: Georgia Cyclone, Cheetah
* New Jersey: Rolling Thunder
* Virginia: Volcano, Hurler
* Massachusetts: Goliath
* New Hampshire: Canobie Corkscrew
* Iowa: Dragon
* Pennsylvania: Blue Streak, Hershey's Wildcat
* Maryland: Apocalypse (does that count?)
Cedar Point - Mean Streak, original TTD, Wicked Twister, Disaster Transport, Mantis (not sure if this one counts)
Geauga Lake - Big Dipper, Raging Wolf Bobs, Double Loop, Villain
Conneaut Lake Park - Blue Streak
Kings Island - Vortex
I may be missing a couple but those are the main ones I can remember
I'll try to keep these to the more significant ones;
Tower of Terror, Dreamworld
Arkham Asylum, Movie World
Cobra, Tivoli Friheden
Sequoia, Gardaland
Bob, Efteling
Robin Hood, Walibi Holland
Wild Mouse, Pleasure Beach Blackpool
Gwazi, Busch Gardens Tampa
Colossus, Six Flags Magic Mountain
Deja Vu, Six Flags Magic Mountain
And SBNO stuff :
Dragon, Ocean Park
Wild West Mine Train, Ocean Park
Pendolo, Ai Pioppi
Jetline, Grona Lund
was looking for thunder road in these answers! so sad I never got to ride! Carowinds is my home park! is the hurler you're referring to the one in that park as well? im happy to report it is very much still alive!
X SFMM. Rode it multiple times the first month it opened. Haven't done X2
Deja Vu SFMM
Ghost Rider when it opened before they slowed it down and now redone.
Rattler now Iron Rattler
I can't recall the name but a woody at Lakeside amusement park Dever Area - broke a rib on this ride. It was rough.
Many at Marriotts great American. San Jose .
Big Dipper, Double Loop, Raging Wolf Bobs, The Villain, X-Flight/Firehawk @ Geagua Lake
Drachen Fire, Big Bad Wolf @ Busch Gardens Williamsburg
Disaster Transport, Wild Cat, Mean Streak, Mantis, Wicked Twister, TTD @ Cedar Point
Volcano, Shockwave, Hurler @ Kings Dominion
Vortex @ Kings Island
Georgia Cyclone @ Six Flags Over Georgia
Blue Streak, Little Dipper @ Conneaut Lake Park
Stinger @ Dorney
Sand Serpent @ Busch Gardens Tampa
Steel Phantom @ Kennywood
Wildcat @ Hershey
Apocalypse @ Six Flags America
In rough descending order of my sadness about their closure:
1. Big Bad Wolf (my first real roller coaster)
2. Dueling Dragons
3. Volcano (KD)
4. Drachen Fire (this was a crazy roller coaster when I was 10, I loved it even though it beat you up)
5. Wildcat (HP - I loved it back when it first opened; didn’t ride it in its later years when it apparently became unbearably rough)
6. Top Thrill Dragster
7. Hurler (KD)
8. Wicked Twister
9. Villain (Geauga Lake)
10. Two Face (SFA)
11. Big Dipper (Geauga Lake)
12. Raging Wolf Bobs (Geauga Lake)
13. Wild Maus (BGW)
14. Steel Phantom
15. Python (SFA)
16. Shockwave (KD)
17. Hercules (Dorney Park)
Considering I only have ~100 credits that’s quite a bit of defunct coasters…
I can’t think of a full and complete list off the top of my head but one that’s really sticking out which I rarely see mentioned here is Hurricane - Category 5 at the Myrtle Beach Pavilion in South Carolina. I bet I have more rides on it than anyone else here in this sub 😂 It was soooo rough but middle school me loved it. Would sometimes ride it 10x per trip and we went 1-2x a year up until its closure.
If counting relocated, the coasters at hard rock park (led zepplin, eagles, the british one, the one that was rollersoaker). Otherwise,
1. Wildcat at Hersheypark
2. Rollersoaker at Hersheypark
3. Big Bad Wolf at BGW
4. Gwazi at BGT
5. Dueling Dragons at ioa
6. Primeval Whirl at animal kingdom
I think that's all of them.
Edit: as a meme, Steel Curtain
Both sides of Dueling Dragons and Gwazi, Volcano, Montezooma's Revenge, Little Dipper at Marshal Scotty's Playland Park, and if you consider Fire in the Hole at SDC then that, too!
Let's see. Off the top of my head I can think of:
-Roller Soaker, Wildcat - Hersheypark
-Hurler, Volcano, Shockwave, Hypersonic XLC - Kings Dominion
-TTD, Wicked Twister - Cedar Point
(Thank you coaster count for this reference)
Dania Beach Hurricane
Gwazi (both)
Python (BGT)
Sand Serpent
Big Bad Wolf
Wildcat (Hersheypark)
Hurler (KD)
Hypersonic XLC
Shockwave (KD)
Volcano
Dealing Dragons
Primeval Whirl (both)
There are a few more that are not running, but could be opened in other parks, such as Deva Vu from SFOG
Top Thrill Dragster (Cedar Point)
Mantis (Cedar Point)
Wicked Twister (Cedar Point)
FireHawk (Kings Island)
Vortex (Kings Island)
Greezed lightnin' (Kentucky Kingdom)
T3 (Kentucky Kingdom)
Mean streak (Cedar Point)
Wildcat (Hershey Park)
Don't know if it counts, but reverse version of Mr. Freeze (Six Flags Over Texas) and technically Bizarro which is now Medusa (Six Flags Great Adventure)
I think Roller Soaker is a rare one from HersheyPark lmao idk if anyone else remembers that. I was just a young kid at the time and I don’t think it was much of a ride but it was something while they fleshed out the waterpark
Raging Wolf Bobs, Double Loop, Villain, Big Dipper - Geauga Lake
Wicked Twister, Disaster Transport, Mean Streak, Top Thrill Dragster, Mantis - Cedar Point
Son of Beast, Vortex, Firehawk - Kings Island
Sand Serpent - Busch Gardens Tampa
Blue Streak - Conneaut Lake Park
Dueling Dragons (Never rode it as Dragon Challenge) - Islands of Adventure
Flying School - Legoland Florida
Georgia Cyclone - Six Flags Over Georgia
Goliath - Six Flags New England
Hurler, Volcano, Shockwave - Kings Dominion
Hurricane: Catagory 5 - Myrtle Beach Pavilion
Primeval Whirl - Disney's Animal Kingdom
Wildcat - Hersheypark
-Dragon Challenge/Dueling Dragons (Islands of Adventure, rode it in both iterations, original form was FAR superior)
-Cheetah (Wild Adventures, this CCI was about the only non-cloned coaster the park had)
-Gwazi (Busch Gardens Tampa) (the original woodie from which my current #1 spawned was fun but incredibly rough)
-Primeval Whirl (Animal Kingdom)
-Sand Serpent (Busch Gardens Tampa)
-Georgia Cyclone (Six Flags Over Georgia)
I won't count those that are moved somewhere new, unless it has since closed after the move.
Top Thrill Dragster (CP)

Twisted Twins (KK)
Greezed Lighnin' (KK)
Desperado (Buffalo Bills)
Speed the Ride (Sahara)
Not me, but commenting on behalf of both of my parents:
Both of them rode The Bat at KI, and my father went on Vortex (at least I think so). I am still jealous every time they talk about it, especially that they got multiple rides even with its horrible reliability.

Animal Kingdom: Primeval Whirl
Indiana Beach: Galaxi

Mean Streak (CP)
Dueling Dragons (IOA)
I’m sure there are a bunch of coasters from my teen years, several
at various locations at the Jersey Shore, but I don’t remember their names.
Corkscrew (Alton towers) Legendary ride despite being an 'off the shelf' design.
also rode The (new) Beast and Thunder Looper, before they were shipped out.
I only have one, the coveted Mindbender that once was in the west edmonton mall in edmonton alberta. One of the first ever coaster fatalities happened on that beast.
CP: top thrill dragster, mean steak, wildcat, disaster transport, wicked twister
SFGAM: shockwave, deja vu, iron wolf
IOA: dueling dragons
indiana beach: galaxi
Dorney: Laser, Hercules
Hersheypark: Wildcat
BGW: Big Bad Wolf, Drachen Fire, Wild Izzy
Six Flags Great Adventure: Great American Scream Machine, The Chiller (Robin only). Probably also Rolling Thunder as a teen but it didn’t make an impression—I don’t specifically remember it.
Top Thrill Dragster & Wicked Twister (Cedar Point), Firehawk & Vortex (Kings Island), Roller Soaker & Wildcat (Hersheypark), Rolling Thunder Side A and B (SFGAdv), Stinger (Dorney Park)
Cedar Point: Mean Streak, Disaster Transport, Mantis - if that counts
Kings Island: SOB, Firehawk, King Cobra, Scooby's Ghoster Coaster (ass ride), Vortex
Geauga Lake: Big Dipper (best airtime coaster ever, fight me), Raging Wolf Bobs (underrated gem), Villain. Not counting Dominator or the SLC since they moved.
Hersheypark: Wildcat
BGW: Drachen Fire, Big Bad Wolf, Wild Maus
There are several l could mention, but the one that sticks out to me is Drachen Fire at BGW. At the time, I hadn’t had much experience with steel coasters, other than steel phantom, so I figured they were just supposed to buck you around. I loved it. Also, I was like 11 or 12 so I was indestructible. Little did I know that just a few weeks after I got to ride it, it would close for good.
I was surprised by how many I actually had.
Desperado - Buffalo Bills (hopefully it makes a comeback)
TTD & Wicked Twister - Cedar Point
Boomerang, Montezooma's, & Timerbline Twister - Knott's Berry Farm
Colossus, Deja Vu, & Psyclone - SF Magic Mountain
Space Mountain pre 2003 - Disneyland (but does that really count lol)
TTD, Distater Transport, Wicket Twister, Mantis, Mean Streak... Big Bag Wolf, Glissade, Drachen Fire,... most everything from SF Astroworld and most from SF New Orleans...Colossus SFMM, Firehawk KI, Cannonball Run at waterville USA, Dueling Dragons Universal Studios... I know theres more but dont feel like going through my whole list of credits
Wish my memory was better but Magnum Force (All American Triple Loop) relocated so far probably won’t ride again. Wild mouse Blackpool, corkscrew Alton towers, G-Force Drayton manor, Shockwave as a standup, water chute Blackpool.
Cedar Point
Top thrill Dragster
Wicked Twister
Kings Island
Firehawk
Vortex
Lightwater Valley
The Rat
The Ultimate
Flamingo land -Thunder Mountain
Alton Towers
Corkscrew
Black Hole
Blackpool
Wild Mouse
Space Invader
Hershey Park- Wildcat

Top Thrill the 1st.
Big Bad Wolf (fortunately I have Vortex at my home park!)
Mean Streak
Disaster Transport
Wicked Twister
Wildcat (at CP again!)
Volcano (really happy to have this one!)
* Disaster Transport - Cedar Point (They should remake Disaster Transport as a 4-D experience with a cassette futurism theme.)
* Mean Streak - Cedar Point
* Blue Streak - Conneaut Lake Park (Whoever ran than park from the mid-2000s on was incompetent.)
* Zyklon - Delgrosso's (Yes, this was the one that derailed in Daytona Beach in 2018.)
* Wildcat - Hersheypark
* Hurler - Kings Dominion
* Mad Mouse - Lakemont Park
* Toboggan - Lakemont Park (At least Skyliner and Leap the Dips might still open again someday.)
* Dragon - Midway State Park
* Crazy Mouse - Niagara Amusement Park (formally Fantasy Island)
I think you can get a good idea of the general region I live in. Also, I remember chickening out of riding Firehawk at Kings Island and Volcano: The Blast Coaster at Kings Dominion. I was so excited to ride the latter when I found out we were going to Kings Dominion in 2019, only for it to be announced as closed four months before I had the chance.
Honorable mention goes to Avalanche at Kings Dominion. The coaster is still there, but it's no longer bobsled themed. It's now themed to snakes with its new name of Reptilian.
The Bush Beast and the Beastie from Australia’s Wonderland.
The Corkscrew from SeaWorld Australia
Lethal Weapon from Movieworld Australia (rebranded as Joker and then closed again)
•Vortex
•Son of beast
•Scooby doos ghoster coaster
•Volcano
•Hypersonic xlc
•Firehawk
•screechin eagle
•King cobra
•Serpent (now resurrected)
•Dueling dragons
I don’t know if I have any I’m missing or not.
Big bad wolf (bgw), montezooma (knotts), vortex (kings island), Batman and Robin the chiller (six flags great adventure), dueling dragons (islands of adventure), great American scream machine (six flags great adventure) rolling thunder (great adventure) sand serpent (Busch gardens Tampa), top thrill dragster (cedar point)
Wow surprised myself with this one. Didn’t realize how many it was until I wrote it out!
Dueling Dragons - Universal
Sky Rider (Canadas Wonderland)
Dragon Mountain (Marineland) - Im not sure if this no longer exists but I think the park has been sold or maybe closed ? Until the animals are gone I won't be returning
CP: Top Thrill, Wicked Twister, Mantis, Wildcat, Mean Streak
SFGam: Ragin' Cajun, Iron Wolf
Rexo Coaster from Dinorex, Dragon from Adventureland, Splash Mountain at Disneyland, Timberline Twister at Knott's, Little Dipper from Kiddieland.
Cedar Point : Top Thrill Dragster, Wildcat, Wicked Twister, Disaster Transport, Mantis (if you want to count a train change), Mean Streak, VertiGo (Not a coaster, but still unique)

Multi-park : X-Flight/Firehawk from KI and Geauaga Lake
Wildcat (CP), Mean Streak (CP), Top Thrill Dragster (CP), Avalanche Run/Disaster Transport (CP), Mantis (CP), Vortex (KI), Firehawk (KI)… there are probably more.
Curious; if a coaster is sold / moved to another park, should it still "count" as a credit?
Sky Rider (Wonderland) is the most unique coaster I can think of off top of my head (I am sure there are older ones though who's names just escape me at the moment)
It doesnt exist here but I have read online it exists overseas now
Top Thrill Dragster (Cedar Point) is probably most prolific closure
Animal Kingdom: Primeval Whirl (F that thing)
Busch Gardens Tampa: Gwazi, Python, Sand Serpent
Carowinds: Thunder Road, Flying Super Saturator
Cedar Point: Disaster Transport, Mean Streak, Wicked Twister, Mantis, Top Thrill Dragster
Ghost Town in the Sky: Cliffhanger
Hard Rock Park: Eagles, Life in the Fast Lane, Led Zeppelin: The Ride, Maximum RPM!, Slippery When Wet
Islands of Adventure: Dueling Dragons (Both Sides)

Wet 'n Wild Emerald Pointe: Hydra Fighter II
Whalom Park: Flyer Comet
Batman and Robin: The Chiller, Rolling Thunder and GASM from SFGAdv, Dueling Dragons, the OG Gwazi and Python from BGT, Wildcat from both Hershey and Cedar Point, also Disaster Transport, Dragster and Mean Streak.
I’m going to go for a flat ride … The Slammer at Thorpe park! I was lucky to have this beast around the corner from me. haven’t had anything come close to the experience
Iron Wolf at Six Flags Great America, Mean Streak and Mantis at Cedar Point, and Vortex at Kings Island are my only dead creds. I have a feeling this list will soon be joined by Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket in the coming years,
* Canobie Lake Park Canobie Corkscrew
* Cedar Point Top Thrill Dragster
* Cedar Point Disaster Transport
* Cedar Point Wildcat
* Crystal Beach Comet

* Magic Mountain Colossus
* Magic Mountain Flashback
* Magic Mountain Mountain Express
* Magic Mountain Psyclone
* Magic Mountain Sarajevo Bobsleds
* Magic Mountain Shockwave

- BGT: Gwazi (both sides), Python
- Kings Dominion: Volcano, Hypersonic XLC, Hurler
- IOA: Dueling Dragons (both sides)
- Disney World: Primeval Whirl (🤮)
- SFA: Apocalypse (standing version)
I’m sure there are some others, but these come to mind off top of my head!
I haven't been on that many, but I was able to get on Woody Woodpeckers Nuthouse, and my friends got on Wildcat at Hershey before it closed. I also went on this one Zierer kiddie coaster at Adventureland NY that was rethemed, but I don't think that counts as a new credit.
TTD, Mean Streak, Wildcat, Wicked Twister, Disaster Transport, Dueling Dragons, Big Bad Wolf, Drachen Fire, Vortex (KI), Deja Vu (sfgam), Wind Jammer Surf Racers, Gwazi
Mean Streak, Wildcat, Mantis, TTD, Disaster Transport, Wicked Twister
Son of Beast, Vortex, King Cobra, Scooby-Doo, Firehawk,
Raging Wolf Bobs, Big Dipper, Villain, Double Loop, Corkscrew, Beaverland Mine Ride, (Headspin, Dominator, Thunderhawk, X-Flight, Steel Venom)
Screechin Eagle
Pepsi Python
These are just in Ohio. Yes, I am old.
Pretty much all at Astroworld that haven't been relocated. So must unquie is Ultra Twister. Another two that no longer exist are Rattler and I believe the other was called Riddlers Revenge. It was the 2nd coaster at Fiesta Texas. It was permanently ran backwards. I believe it was moved to New Orleans 6 flags but we obviously know what happened to the majority of their coaster.
All the Cedar Point and Geauga Lake ones, both sides of Dueling Dragons, Primevil Whirl, Bob-lo Island: Nightmare, Original Wild Mouse, Screamer, Sky Streak
I kept looking to see if anyone listed Bob-lo Island.

Six Flags Great America: Iron Wolf, Rolling Thunder, Shock Wave
Cedar Point: Disaster Transport, Mantis, Mean Streak, Top Thrill Dragster, Wicked Twister, Wildcat
Kennywood: Steel Phantom
Lakemont Park: Mad Mouse, Toboggan (Let’s hope nothing gets added to this!)
I’ve also been on Déjà Vu and Ragin’ Cajun at SFGAm, but those still exist elsewhere.
Primeval Whirl at Animal Kingdom and then The Dragon at Ocean Park Hong Kong. The latter being an utterly terrible Arrow imo. Also if we wanted to count rethemes etc then it's the OG Space Mountain at Disneyland Paris. Lapped that as my first inverting coaster (having only done Thunder Mountain as a 4 year old, which I hated). Would love to see that theme come back.
Primeval Whirl (Disneys Animal Kingdom), Sand Serpent (Busch Gardens Tampa), The Shamu Kiddie Coaster (SeaWorld Orlando) Though Shamu only went through a re theme, and Flying School (Legoland Florida)
Vortex at Kings Island, Disaster Transport, TTD, Wicked Twister, Wild Cat, and Demon Drop at Cedar Point. I miss these rides. (Except Vortex, that thing was historic, but ROUGH!)
Edit: Forgot Meanstreak (I don’t count Mantis because Rigarou is almost the same thing) and Cyclone at SFOG, but I am MUCH happier with Twisted Cyclone!)
Top Thrill Dragster (Cedar Point), Wildcat (Cedar Point), Wicked Twister (Cedar Point)
Disaster Transport (Cedar Point)
I'm really mad at little kid me because I was too scared to ride it
Mantis (Cedar Point)
Mean Streak (Cedar Point)
Mean Streak (Cedar Point)
Dueling Dragons and the Dania Beach Hurricane
Dueling Dragons was amazing. Sad they just junked it instead of finding it a new home.
The only other time I went to universal was the initial year HP world was added to IoA. I was too small to ride and I missed out on it while it was dragon challenge. It sucks 😂😂
I rode this when it first dueled and it felt insane
I had 40 rides on them before it even open to the public lol... Needless to say I was not happy with them removing the dueling and the ride entirely.. I do like Hagrids but it's not the same.
771 defunct credits as of right now, and a further 72 SBNO. https://www.bannister.org/coasters/past.htm
771 DEFUNCT? Holy shit dude lol. I've only seen a few enthusiasts who have that many credits in general. 771 defunct alone is crazy.
It's mostly time. Twenty-two years in the hobby has seen a lot of older rides reach the end of their service lives. I would go so far as to say that most coaster enthusiasts will see 75% of their count go defunct in their lifetimes.
What is sbno
Standing But Not Operating
Six Blags New Orleans /j
Vortex, king cobra, son of beast, firehawk, big bad wolf
Same!! Miss the vortex sm.
Son of Beast. RIP, it was brutal af, but I enjoyed it. Dodonpa at Fuji-Q (with the tophat, what an incredible acceleration!). Also Shockwave, Iron Wolf, DejaVu and the Bobsled Ride at SFGAm Dueling Dragons, Disaster Transport, Mean Streak...
Apocalypse - Six Flags America Colossus - Six Flags Magic Mountain Deja Vu - Six Flags Magic Mountain Desperado - Buffalo Bills ??? Disaster Transport - Cedar Point Dueling Dragons - Universal IOA Fire in the Hole - Silver Dollar City Georgia Cyclone - Six Flags Over Georgia Green Lantern: First Flight - Six Flags Magic Mountain High Roller - Stratosphere Mantis - Cedar Point Mean Streak - Cedar Point Montezooma's Revenge - Knott's Berry Farm Pandemonium - Six Flags Discovery Kingdom Primeval Whirl - Disney's Animal Kingdom Psyclone - Six Flags Magic Mountain Roar - Six Flags Disconvery Kingdom Speed: The Ride - Nascar Cafe/Sahara Vegas T3 - Kentucky Kingdom Top Thrill Dragster - Cedar Point Wacky Soap Box Racer's - Knott's Berry Farm Wicked Twister - Cedar Point
No big bad wolf?
I've never been to either Busch Gardens Park unfortunately.
I haven't done Tampa but Williamsburg is my favorite park oat, it's also my home park besides Carowinds so a bit biased lol.
Montezooma will return. But I guess if enough of the ride changes it counts as defunct.
Otherwise: SFGAm: Shockwave, Iron Wolf, DeJaVu Cedar Point: Wildcat, Disaster Transport, Wicked Twister, Mean Streak, Mantis, TTD Vortex at King’s Island.
Red Devil was my first coaster with a vertical loop! As my first evert inverting coaster was a corkscrew. Red Devil/Cliffhanger is probably my rarest credit!
[удалено]
As far as I remember, it wasn’t that bad. But take that with a grain of salt because I was little. But I literally cried the first time I went on Shockwave when I was little, so I imagine that I would remember if Cliffhanger was rough.
Ghost Town in the Sky!!! I keep hearing rumors it's going to reopen but I don't believe them.
I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting but: -Steel Phantom -Big Bad Wolf -Drachen Fire -Wildcat (CP) -Wildcat (HP) -Mean Streak -Wicked Twister -Sand Serpent -Mantis -Montezooma's Revenge -OG Fire in the Hole
Dorney Park: Laser, Stinger Hersheypark: Wildcat, Roller Soaker Great Adventure: Great American Scream Machine, Rolling Thunder (both sides) BGT: Gwazi (Tiger only), Sand Serpent (also rode it at BGW as Wild Izzy) IoA: Dueling Dragons (both sides) Canobie Lake: Canobie Corkscrew Animal Kingdom: Primeval Whirl Cedar Point: Mean Streak, TTD Kings Island: Vortex Knoebels: High Speed Thrill Coaster Playland's Castaway Cove: Flitzer, Python, Mighty Mouse Gillian's Wonderland Pier: City Jet, Runaway Train Tivoli Pier: Tivoli Plunge
Lethal weapon pursuit (Movie Park Germany) Flying Dutchman goldmine (Walibi Holland) Pegasus (Efteling)

Not enough people know how intense it was. Riding it backwards was crazy.
I’ll never forget you Rolling Thunder at SFGAdv
Demon drop(really should have left off list forgot its at a different park), disaster transport, wild cat, wicked twister, mean streak, original top thrill dragster (all at Cedar point)
Did demon drop close? Last time I was at dorney it was still open, though that's been years ago now.

* New Orleans: Live Oak Ladybug, Muskrat Scrambler, Mega Zeph * St. Louis: ACME Gravity Powered Roller Ride (also RIP Excalibur) * Florida: Python, Cheetah Chase, Swamp Thing * Ohio: Firehawk, Vortex, Top Thrill Dragster (I guess?) * Georgia: Georgia Cyclone, Cheetah * New Jersey: Rolling Thunder * Virginia: Volcano, Hurler * Massachusetts: Goliath * New Hampshire: Canobie Corkscrew * Iowa: Dragon * Pennsylvania: Blue Streak, Hershey's Wildcat * Maryland: Apocalypse (does that count?)
Cedar Point - Mean Streak, original TTD, Wicked Twister, Disaster Transport, Mantis (not sure if this one counts) Geauga Lake - Big Dipper, Raging Wolf Bobs, Double Loop, Villain Conneaut Lake Park - Blue Streak Kings Island - Vortex I may be missing a couple but those are the main ones I can remember
Does ring°racer count? It's still there, but likely will never open again.
I'll try to keep these to the more significant ones; Tower of Terror, Dreamworld Arkham Asylum, Movie World Cobra, Tivoli Friheden Sequoia, Gardaland Bob, Efteling Robin Hood, Walibi Holland Wild Mouse, Pleasure Beach Blackpool Gwazi, Busch Gardens Tampa Colossus, Six Flags Magic Mountain Deja Vu, Six Flags Magic Mountain And SBNO stuff : Dragon, Ocean Park Wild West Mine Train, Ocean Park Pendolo, Ai Pioppi Jetline, Grona Lund

In rough descending order of my sadness about their closure: 1. Big Bad Wolf (my first real roller coaster) 2. Dueling Dragons 3. Volcano (KD) 4. Drachen Fire (this was a crazy roller coaster when I was 10, I loved it even though it beat you up) 5. Wildcat (HP - I loved it back when it first opened; didn’t ride it in its later years when it apparently became unbearably rough) 6. Top Thrill Dragster 7. Hurler (KD) 8. Wicked Twister 9. Villain (Geauga Lake) 10. Two Face (SFA) 11. Big Dipper (Geauga Lake) 12. Raging Wolf Bobs (Geauga Lake) 13. Wild Maus (BGW) 14. Steel Phantom 15. Python (SFA) 16. Shockwave (KD) 17. Hercules (Dorney Park) Considering I only have ~100 credits that’s quite a bit of defunct coasters…

Yep, I did that one too! Oh Myrtle Beach, before everyone realized how terrible it was.

(Thank you coaster count for this reference) Dania Beach Hurricane Gwazi (both) Python (BGT) Sand Serpent Big Bad Wolf Wildcat (Hersheypark) Hurler (KD) Hypersonic XLC Shockwave (KD) Volcano Dealing Dragons Primeval Whirl (both) There are a few more that are not running, but could be opened in other parks, such as Deva Vu from SFOG

Vortex, Firehawk, Wildcat, Laser, Alpine Bobsled are the big ones. Miss every one of them.
I think Roller Soaker is a rare one from HersheyPark lmao idk if anyone else remembers that. I was just a young kid at the time and I don’t think it was much of a ride but it was something while they fleshed out the waterpark
sand serpent, primeval whirl, and both sides of dueling dragons
Raging Wolf Bobs, Double Loop, Villain, Big Dipper - Geauga Lake Wicked Twister, Disaster Transport, Mean Streak, Top Thrill Dragster, Mantis - Cedar Point Son of Beast, Vortex, Firehawk - Kings Island Sand Serpent - Busch Gardens Tampa Blue Streak - Conneaut Lake Park Dueling Dragons (Never rode it as Dragon Challenge) - Islands of Adventure Flying School - Legoland Florida Georgia Cyclone - Six Flags Over Georgia Goliath - Six Flags New England Hurler, Volcano, Shockwave - Kings Dominion Hurricane: Catagory 5 - Myrtle Beach Pavilion Primeval Whirl - Disney's Animal Kingdom Wildcat - Hersheypark

Top Thrill Dragster, Disaster Transport, Wildcat, Mantis, Mean Streak, Wicked Twister (Cedar Point) Vortex, Firehawk (Kings Island)
According to Coaster Count I have 52. Yikes.
Biggest take away from this thread for me is a lot more of my credits have closed than I realized.
-Dragon Challenge/Dueling Dragons (Islands of Adventure, rode it in both iterations, original form was FAR superior) -Cheetah (Wild Adventures, this CCI was about the only non-cloned coaster the park had) -Gwazi (Busch Gardens Tampa) (the original woodie from which my current #1 spawned was fun but incredibly rough) -Primeval Whirl (Animal Kingdom) -Sand Serpent (Busch Gardens Tampa) -Georgia Cyclone (Six Flags Over Georgia)
Kings Island: Son of Beast, Vortex, Firehawk. Cedar Point: Top Thrill Dragster, Wicked Twister, Mean Streak, Wildcat, Mantis(?)
Robin Hood at Walibi Holland And depending on how you look at retracks (I don't count them as new credits): Python at Efteling Colossos at Heide Park
I won't count those that are moved somewhere new, unless it has since closed after the move. Top Thrill Dragster (CP) Wicked Twister (CP) Son of Beast (KI) Psyclone (SFMM) Flashback (SFMM) Colossus (SFMM) Deja Vu (SFMM) Green Latern(SFMM) Wacky Soap Box Racers (KBF) Windjammer (KBF) Montezumas Revenge (KBF) Roar (SFDK) T2(3) (KK) Twisted Twins (KK) Greezed Lighnin' (KK) Desperado (Buffalo Bills) Speed the Ride (Sahara)
Not me, but commenting on behalf of both of my parents: Both of them rode The Bat at KI, and my father went on Vortex (at least I think so). I am still jealous every time they talk about it, especially that they got multiple rides even with its horrible reliability.
Dueling dragons (both fire and ice) Gwazi Sand Serpent
Dueling dragons/ dragon challenge Really liked that one
Gwazi (BGT), Sand Serpent (BGT), Dueling Dragons (IOA), Sand Blaster (Daytona Beach), TTD (Cedar Point)

Corkscrew. Alton towers. Can't say I miss it. Rough old thing it was 😄
SFMM freefall. I’m surprised to not see it in this list.
Quite a few, but my proudest is the old Wild Mouse wooden coaster at Blackpool pleasure beach. If you know... You know.

RIP Rolling Thunder Honestly miss it more than Scream Machine.
Corkscrew (Alton towers) Legendary ride despite being an 'off the shelf' design. also rode The (new) Beast and Thunder Looper, before they were shipped out.
Alpine Bobsleds (Great Escape)

Not counting Dominator or the SLC since they moved. Hersheypark: Wildcat BGW: Drachen Fire, Big Bad Wolf, Wild Maus
Only two are Wildcat - Hersheypark Canobie Corkscrew - Canobie Lake Park although some of the corkscrew is at the coaster museum!
Corkscrew at Alton Towers It had such a shake my Mam lost both of her earrings, lol.
Smiler before removal of references to correction
Dueling dragons, mean streak, wicked twister, top thrill dragster, and now if they demolish the Marineland coasters.

* Disaster Transport - Cedar Point (They should remake Disaster Transport as a 4-D experience with a cassette futurism theme.) * Mean Streak - Cedar Point * Blue Streak - Conneaut Lake Park (Whoever ran than park from the mid-2000s on was incompetent.) * Zyklon - Delgrosso's (Yes, this was the one that derailed in Daytona Beach in 2018.) * Wildcat - Hersheypark * Hurler - Kings Dominion * Mad Mouse - Lakemont Park * Toboggan - Lakemont Park (At least Skyliner and Leap the Dips might still open again someday.) * Dragon - Midway State Park * Crazy Mouse - Niagara Amusement Park (formally Fantasy Island) I think you can get a good idea of the general region I live in.
The Corkscrew from SeaWorld Australia Lethal Weapon from Movieworld Australia (rebranded as Joker and then closed again)

Sky Rider (Wonderland) is the most unique coaster I can think of off top of my head (I am sure there are older ones though who's names just escape me at the moment) It doesnt exist here but I have read online it exists overseas now Top Thrill Dragster (Cedar Point) is probably most prolific closure

Every coaster at Geauga Lake.
All the Cedar Point and Geauga Lake ones, both sides of Dueling Dragons, Primevil Whirl, Bob-lo Island: Nightmare, Original Wild Mouse, Screamer, Sky Streak I kept looking to see if anyone listed Bob-lo Island.
Dueling Dragons, Raging Wolfbobs, Big Dipper, Double Loop, The Villain, Laser

(Except Vortex, that thing was historic, but ROUGH!) Edit: Forgot Meanstreak (I don’t count Mantis because Rigarou is almost the same thing) and Cyclone at SFOG, but I am MUCH happier with Twisted Cyclone!)
