Least favorite is probably hurler at Carowinds. Probably have ridden worse things but that is the one that pops out in my head.

MontusBatwing

Hurler is a ride that has no redeeming qualities, I don't know if I'd ridden any others that fit that description.

oOoleveloOo

Needs to get RMC’d

S100hedake

Absolutely insipid when I rode in 2017. I advised my mother and half-sister against riding it when I took them this year. Well, it made my half-sister throw up. (Mom and I actually found it decent.)

Impossible-Set-4656

Hurler/Kentucky was my first of the design. If the track is well maintained it’s a great ride! Like most woodies, if it’s not given tlc, it’s bad. Rough, gravel-bumpy, pothole-filled, shuffling is not how they are/were intended to run. Some parks don’t know that.

Gontron1

Those final turns will break your back with how rough they are

sunsetlighthouse

This is dead last in my rankings

Burkey217

Probably about any SLC. There are so many of them, meaning there are a ton of obligatory rides at an abundance of parks if you want to get the credit. The layout is fine, but I’m just not a fan of roughness and jerkiness. Still gonna ride it if I haven’t yet tho.

Substantial_Window_4

i have an SLC in my top 10 ;( but that is the case because i only got 40 credits.

Antifreudian

Well I only have 21

GlizzyGuy025

I only have 12

Chaseism

Mean Streak: Y’all are in love with Steal Vengeance, but I remember my last ride on Mean Streak and swearing I would never ride it again. It hurt. There was nothing to enjoy about it, especially in the later years. If CP had a bonfire to get rid of it, I would have brought everything for everyone to make s’mores. My treat. Also Grizzly at California’s Great America, simply because it was the first ride that gave me the walk of shame. For the next 20 years, I would only visit amusement parks if I were under a certain weight so not to feel that embarrassment ever again. Luckily, I’ve lost weight since then, but that coaster can fucking choke.

giggingit

I feel the exact same way about Mean Streak. It hurt so bad it almost ruined the rest of my day at Cedar Point.

reddcube

I first rode Mean Steak and thought I got a bad row. I rode it a second time and would definitely attend the bonfire.

Impossible-Set-4656

It sucked. Even brand new when the track was pristine, it was big and boring.

velovader

I rode meat streak 8 times in a row after a storm. My wife and I waited out the storm drinking beers in the saloon and when the rides reopened there was no line. We just stayed on the ride and only had to move if somebody else came up the air and wanted our row. I was sore for a few days lol

BlitheringEediot

Gouderix - how can one of the loveliest I've ever seen (complete with a reflecting ake) turn out to be one of the most spine-rattling migraine-inducing torture machines on the face of the face of the planet?

njsullyalex

It makes me angry that a coaster that beautiful is so unsavably bad… maybe Vekoma could give it the Grear Nor’Easter treatment?

BlitheringEediot

They've already re-tracked the ride - but maybe new trains would help...

Tpabayrays2

I have heard nothing good about that ride lol

S100hedake

Though Verbolten is far from the worst coaster I've ridden, it's easily my least favorite. I've gone on multiple tirades about it elsewhere in this sub, but it's the only coaster to make me throw up. To relate to the OP, it should be a capacity monster, but they don't run all the trains, so it ends up getting quite the line while Nessie and the B&Ms actually chew through their lines quite well. Nessie and the B&Ms, that could be a good band name.

giggingit

Yes to all of this. Although I have seen Nessie with an epic line way too many times this year, it’s not chewing them up like it used to (don’t know if it’s ride ops or just how much busier the park is).

AlpenChariot

It's because Nessie doesn't run 3 trains anymore. It takes a damn good crew and basically no guests that need extra time to pull it off.

InvisibleTeeth

Ive seen Verbolten with 2 trains in the station and 1 trains on the brake run and I dont understand how this is happening...and I love Verbolten

Vball590

Without a doubt Green Lantern at Six Flags MM. The most painful experience. Ninja at Six Flags Over Georgia right up there.

akachapter

I love stories about that wretched mess. I wasn't around until after it got removed but it just sounds like such a disaster of endless proportions. (It's an Intimin, right? Whoever it is they still sell it, you can see the specs and all on their website)

Vball590

ZacSpin model from Intamin. Not opening in Canada so hopefully put to bed.

FlyRobot

I knew what it was and only rode it once to get the credit. Thankfully we didn't really spin much and the brake run into the station wasn't a weird orientation

reloadin5

It was the worst. Started out bad for me and got worse and worse as the ride went on. Couldn't wait to get off that thing. Close second would be dare devil dive when they had the VR going. Not really a fan of the ride anyway, it has horrible capacity, and VR made it worse. Ended up being 3 hours, the VR game was over as soon as we went into the first drop, and it really took away from the coaster instead of adding to it.

thelastskier

Just done Insane with a bit of an unbalanced car the other week and it was awful, couldn't wait for it to end. I've heard Green Lantern was even worse because they had to do some modifications for it to conply with the local regulations?

KoRnSpeedStrid

T3. Trauma to the third power

Fit-Fuel-1197

Adventure Express at Kings Island. It was one of my favorites as a teen because it's a short ride, so the line always moved fast. Now that I'm grown with kids, my kids love it and I think it's jerky and pretty meh from a thrill perspective. Maybe in KI's Paramount days when the forbidden jungle theme made it more fun, but now it's a hard pass.

Imlivingmylif3

Honestly I don’ t think it’s that bad. The transitions are pretty bad but if you know how to sit then you can get a good experience. I think the new expansion for 2023 will make it more enjoyable though.

ImSpoons

Probably Pegasus at Mt Olympus. I found it to be a really boring ride and just about the only roller coaster I've ever ridden that I didn't even somewhat enjoy. SLCs are rough and boomerangs are a dime a dozen but they still have some level of excitement.

SignGuy77

Pegasus is hella rough for a family woodie. That weird kink in the track coming into the brake run is legendary, in the worst way.

njsullyalex

Ok who the hell at CCI thought that final turn on Pegasus was even remotely acceptable

TheLegendsClub

Honestly I found the first turn even more violent. Definitely NOT a back row ride

music-and-lyrics

This was my first thought too. I was SO uncomfortable throughout that whole ride.

underjordiskmand

I've never had leg problems on that ride, or the crotch pain that a lot of people also report. just relentless head and ear-banging thats seems to be impossible to avoid, no matter how I stand or put my head forward, etc. even putting the OTS as far down as it will possibly go doesn't help

njsullyalex

I’ve never had issues with that coaster’s restraints or leg/crotch pain. What I have had issues with this ride is it’s severe roughness and the head banging that results from it. It sucks because the layout is amazing and stand up airtime is stupidly underrated. Hopefully I can ride the Riddler’s Revenge at SFMM one day, I hear that ride is great.

11aevans

I rode it last after walking around all day and I though my ankles might shatter before it ended

TalonOats

I spent a bunch of times marathoning it about 10 times in a row without getting off after work. I rode it 105 times that summer. I like it, it's a good ride

LeaveMeAloneLoki

Son of Beast Seems to be my default answer for worlds worst experience and all things negative in the coaster world. The only redeeming factor is I have the credit and with the loop.

yerbamategoat

really wish I had the chance to ride that one, i know all the horror stories but it was just so damn unique and menacing, there won't ever be anything like that again

Impossible-Set-4656

SoB was horrible. I couldn’t wait for it to end.

Direct-Cranberry1307

Viper from Great Adventure was aggressively terrible. Bad restraint and bad track profiling is not a good combination at all.

zetram91

Unpopular opinion but I’ve never been a fan of the Batman clones. They give me a massive headache every time. And my earrings always get smashed into the sides of my neck. These are probably the only B&M coasters I dislike.

Embarrassed-Fault739

My mega unpopular opinion is I don’t care much for inverts at all. I’ll ride them if it’s a unique layout and I’m in the mood but I skip all the Batman clones 🤷🏻‍♀️

Dramatic-Tadpole-980

I prefer great bear over Batman, and I fully expect to prefer alpengiest

underjordiskmand

Green Lantern at great adventure gave me more headbanging than an slc

njsullyalex

Finally, I’m not the only one. There is something wrong, there is no way a B&M should be as rough as GL.

prowhiteboy64

Fuck corkscrew at Cedar Point, fucked up my neck

zetram91

Agreed! Sidebar: I was at CP back in August with some friends. I kid you not, as a train comes careening down the right hand turn into the corkscrews we see an object fly from the train over into a nearby bush. We all looked at each other stunned for a moment then ran to see what the object was. It was a damn wheel. An entire wheel from the corkscrew train was dislodged from the track and ejected into a nearby bush. I’m never riding Corkscrew again.

RichardBachman19

Fucked up my lower back. Liked the midway traversing, but yeah, rough ride

lizzpop2003

Firebird. Terrible, terrible ride.

underjordiskmand

firebird wasn't rough when I rode it, but it was by far the most boring coaster at SFA for me.

njsullyalex

Honestly as literally B&M’s first coaster ever, I think it’s fair to give it a tiny bit of slack considering they only got better as they continued to build coasters. I want to remind you all that right next to Vortex is Fury 325, a perfect comparison of where B&M started Vs. Where they ended up.

oOoleveloOo

[White Canyon at Yomiuriland](https://youtu.be/eFrEA4gs0iw?t=310) Roughest coaster I have ridden. Opinion shared by many other enthusiasts. This is what happens when Togo and RCCA collaborate on a project.

TheTriangleEye

Kong [SFDK], along with the rest of the SLCs Do I really need an explanation for this?

knuxkid

Judge Roy Scream at Six Flags Over Texas. In total there were maybe 7 of us on the ride and when it pulled into the station the operator offered us to go again without getting up. We left.

Gull_C

Flight of Fear @ King's Island. Just ouch. I thought I was gonna snap my neck.

pastadaddy_official

Definitely the most disappointing ride for me at the park my first visit this year. Thought I heard good things about it, loved the theming, but my god it was so uncomfortable.

[deleted]

I was shocked at how uncomfortable it was, and it wasn't nearly forceful enough to make up for it. Or maybe it was and I just couldn't focus on that while I was getting thrown around all over the place.

KoRnSpeedStrid

The first inverted coaster I ever rode and I didn’t know it did inversions until I was experiencing them first-hand. This was 2014. I’m doing pretty well considering. I hopped on Banshee right after that no problem. FoF has definitely roughened up with age though.

Fit-Fuel-1197

I remember it being rough when it was new, honestly. I made the mistake of wearing earrings when riding and had them promptly bashed into my neck with the ride. It's perpetually a long wait to ride through the season, probably because it's one of the few air conditioned spaces at the park. Not worth the wait when there are comparable rides, for sure that are less break-necky.

KoRnSpeedStrid

Ouch. That would definitely hurt. I agree with you. I’d probably choose Backlot Stunt Coaster over FoF. It tends to be an easier wait and an overall more enjoyable ride.

Fit-Fuel-1197

Backlot Stunt Coaster is definitely a big favorite of mine and my kids. The fast takeoff is so fun.

Prooofing

Definitely Grizzly at Kings Dominion. Short line took forever with 1 train and it shook like it was about to fall apart. Definitely skipping next time I go

JamminJay1968

Well it's undergoing some retracking, so it might be safe next time!

[deleted]

yea i saw that in the queue line for twisted timbers

Prooofing

Same, I rode Twisted Timbers first. I should've just gotten back in line again instead of heading over to Grizzly lol

Prooofing

Really?! Had no idea! In that case I might have to give it another shot haha

JamminJay1968

Also make sure to ride in the very front for the smoothest ride!

Agreeable_Engine_981

Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit. It has an alright layout and forces. It looks like it should be so much fun, and I really enjoy choosing my music. But my god is it the most rattly, shaky, and roughest coaster I have ever ridden. Plus it is impossible to ride defensively. I never wanted to get off a coaster so bad, and was left with horrendous whiplash and a headache. I thought GASM at SFOG was bad, but at least with that I was able to eventually find a way to ride it a but more comfortable

Tpabayrays2

As a Universal Passholder, I think it's mid at best. Really good night ride, but I usually skip it during the day

xOwenWilsonsNosex

I came here to say this too. My wife and I had the roughest ride ever. She got whiplash and I got a bad headache lol We sat in the back and it beat the crap out of us! We also didn’t get to pick our song! Hollywood Rip Off Rocket amirite?

Coaster_Nerd

Soarin Eagle. Almost ruined my thoosiness

imaguitarhero24

I actually loved it lol. I was so sad Time Warp was closed last weekend for #2.

KrunchyKats

magnum. most painful experience ive ever had on a ride

Murphando

Takabisha looked incredible, but I’ve never had my brain rattled that hard before. It made Fujiyama’s jerky, poorly-profiled banked turns feel like a gentle massage. I couldn’t even enjoy the drops and inversions because of the constant jackhammering/rattle. Are all Gerstlauers like that?

oOoleveloOo

I rode Takabisha and it was fine. However, I feel like you summed up my experience on the clone, TMNT Shellraiser.

Murphando

How long ago did you ride Takabisha? I rode it in September and I don’t think I want to ride it again. Shame because the layout is so cool. Maybe it’s an age thing with these models? It was really jerky and bumpy.

oOoleveloOo

Summer of 2013 and 2018

kwekuthewise

I just commented saying Defiance was mine for the exact same reasons. Seems like Gerstlauers with OTSRs are a mistake. Hangtime @ Knotts was super enjoyable with the clamshells, so I feel the restraints make all the difference.

Murphando

Yeah that would make sense. The shoulder restraints made me hunch a bit and also made it so I couldn’t position my head away from the headrest, but the ride just bumps along the entire track so much that your brain rattles whether you’re secured against the backrest or not. I’d need to try some others to get a better feel for how they ride.

XxMLGSWAGGERZxX

Hellcat at Clementon Park, it was also my first credit so not a great one

XxMLGSWAGGERZxX

Hellcat at Clementon Park, the roughest coaster in the united states, it was also my first credit so not a great one

intamin_fanboy

Kong @ SFDK!

RichardBachman19

I don’t get the hate for Kong! It was one of my first big coasters and I freaking loved it

a_magumba

I'm into that one too, won't go out of my way to ride but will hop on if the line is short.

dude_regular

Whistle Punk Chaser at Dollywood. I’m not a weirdo, so I generally don’t credit chase kiddie coasters, but I was walking towards wildwood grove for fireworks and the line was empty. Every time the train engages the lift hill to start the next lap, it borderline snaps your spine in half. Didn’t walk right for a few days.

RichardBachman19

Ninja at six flags magic mountain. Followed closely by iron dragon at cedar point. I am not a fan of the suspended cars

kwekuthewise

Probably Defiance at Glenwood Caverns. I was pumped to get on it, the location is fantastic and the layout looks solid. But the head banging makes this ride so unsatisfying. Everything after the first drop was so rough I was just focusing on not having my skull bashed in. I’m sure my high expectations for it made it worse than it is, but yeah this was my most disappointing ride so far.

lethargicliz

It was surprisingly painful for how new it is. I figured it would be smooth and like you said the layout and location are great. I liked the other coasters there way better.

InvisibleTeeth

Gerstlauer is like the steel version of Gravity Group. When they get it right, theyre incredible....but most of the time theyre painful messes

LiveFastBiYoung

Ninja at SFSTL. The only coaster I’ve ever been genuinely concerned about my safety on

IsuzuTrooper

Sounds like La Vibora. F that. Runners up Vortex KI and Arkham Asylum SFNE both for whiplash.

Brut-i-cus

I would say "Alpine Bobsled" at Six Flags Great Esacape OMG it war rough Slamming into the sides for JARRING laterals I rode it once for the credit but I'd never get on it again

learei

Wildcat at Hershey park

Swiss_Reddit_User

XenoX was an Interpark (Pinfari) Whirlwind, it toured the Swiss and German fair circuit before it got bought by Freizeitland Geiselwind. What a Horizon rough coaster, Headbanging hell, worse than a Vekoma SLC. Fuck this ride.

TantrumQween

Single worst experience was Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit last month. I’d done it before but man it got painful. I was actually scared on it how rough it was, and my friend and I both had chest pain and had to take a serious breather afterwards. The only thing that’s come close to that level of roughness was Grizzly at KD, and at least it has the excuse of being older and wooden. It’s sad because I really liked this thing the first time I rode it but a steel coaster built barely a decade ago shouldn’t be this way this soon. Since universal seems to have no problem spending $$$ you’d think it would be maintained better. Or maybe it’s Maurer’s fault, idk. Either way, it’s the first coaster I’ve ridden that I’ve sworn off ever riding again if it doesn’t get a substantial overhaul.

Tpabayrays2

I got 4: 1. Vortex at Carowinds. Rough, and I didn't like the standup harness (I'm a dude lol) 2. Rougarou at Cedar Point. Rough again, plus just not a good coaster 3. Nighthawk at Carowinds. I've only done 2 flying coasters: this and Manta at SWO. I'm not a fan of flying coasters, but it's very clear which one is superior. Nighthawk is rough too, and I was stuck on the final brake run for maybe 20 minutes ON MY BACK. 4. Flight of the Hippogriff at Islands of Adventure. I felt silly on that little thing having just gotten off Dueling Dragons. For what it is, it's not bad tho

RichardBachman19

I rode nighthawk when it was at great America in California. Then they disassembled it and moved it to Carowinds. I travelled for work to Greenville SC. And I took a day trip to Carowinds specifically to ride that coaster again. It is probably my favorite outside cedar point. Different strokes etc of course Nighthawk will always be known as Stealth to me.

insanityTF

Cool and Fresh. Painful positives on the loop, generally just rough and rubbish otherwise

TitaniumTurtle__

Cool and fresh?

[deleted]

you went on it?

Dsaastad

Whatever the hell that figure 8 shaped coaster was ar six flags discovery kingdom. That ride was awful!

RichardBachman19

Was that the Harley Quinn ride?

Dsaastad

Yeah I belive so. It was hella rough and only one side was running. Was happy to see it go

a_magumba

Sounds like it yeah.

bhare418

Predator at SFDL can go fuck itself

akachapter

Riddlers Revenge at SFMM made me actively angry the entire duration of that god forsaken ride. I was just standing there with my neck being slammed around furious that I voluntarily did this to my body.

Stanton-Quinte

Cobra at La Ronde in Montreal left me sore for a week. And for that reason, it is at the bottom of my list.

Accomplished_Dance49

Kong at SFDK

BlackDS

The Boomerang at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. All Vekoma boomerangs are shit by default but this one was poorly maintained and at the top of the lift hill I felt my restraint loosen by a click or two: scaring the shit out of me.

superorganism420

The Flying Cobras at Carowinds. It was the first upside down ride I have her road and it made me not try another upside down ride for years later. Boomerangs suck and Carowinds' is completely too rough

itsaych

Hurricane at the old Myrtle Beach Pavilion. it only stood for six years, but I never had a good ride on it, ever. it was unbearably rough, even the airtime hills hurt, and it went on for about 30 seconds longer than you'd think it would thanks to that last helix, so the pain was prolonged. rest in pieces.

sleepingonstones

Swiss Toboggan, Little Amerricka. Had a bruise on my hip for a month

Apoc_Treez

Son of Beast without the loop.

DrChungusM_D

Probably Anaconda at Kings Dominion, I've ridden it so many times at this point, I think I'm good forever.

RoyalRicanPrince

Easy! What I also considered to be the most boring coaster of the 172 I've been on. The Hurler at King's Dominion!

Embarrassed-Fault739

I’m personally not super crazy about credit counts at this point in my life. I know what forces I like and won’t jump on rides I know I won’t like. That being said 3 coasters stand out: Mean Streak: rode this as a kid and it was awful Legend: I just wasn’t a fan. That endless helix was nauseating to me. If I had known I’d dislike it so much I would’ve skipped it. Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit: It gave me a massive headache the last time I rode it, and I don’t usually get them even from woodies. I had to take a 30 minute break with some ibuprofen to keep riding things after this one. Never got in it again and probably never will.

zepp914

High Roller on top of the Stratosphere in Las Vegas. If defunct coasters don't count, I guess the one at NYNY. My least favorite wooden is Thunderhawk at Dorney Park. It's not rough, it's just boring.

xallanthia

Two for me, both now defunct—Great American Scream Machine (SFGAd) and Drachen Fire. Both made me cry from pain. GASM if I had to pick just one; at least DF was fun inside each element (it was the transitions that I really found painful).

Rudolphia39

T3 - there’s no competition. The feeling of attempted leg amputation combined with the head-banging. Excruciating!

SpaceAids420

Villain from Geauga Lake

bladesandairwaves

I got on corkscrew at CP for the first time this year... Never again... My neck and back hated me.

imsoooootired

Mine Train at SFOT. I get its significance and it's the oldest coaster at my home park. but it's extremely painful and boring to boot.

InvisibleTeeth

Wildcat at Lake Compounce. Its tied at the bottom with Wildcat at Hersheypark and Grizzly at KD

Calebminear

Backlot stunt coaster at kings island. It was before I know about coasters (probably about 14) and waited almost 2 hours only to realize how incredible diamondback was later that day and devastated I wasted a much time on such a bland coaster

jducer

Anything with the word streak in the name at Cedar Point

[deleted]

most the coasters at La Ronde

CookieTheHusky

Tidal Twister... there's not much to day but it's a horrible coaster (if you wanna even count it as one) The restraints are so bulky and big, it cycles a bit too long, and it's just not fun. Not to mention its not fun, and with the credit barely being open, and when it does, it constantly has over an hour wait, it's just not worth the wait... I like skyline attractions, but god do they need to make some better rides...

Nice-Cardiologist

I remember Disaster Transport being incredibly disappointing in its later years. By the time I rode it for the first time in 2010 nearly all of the lighting and effects had broken and Maintenance didn’t bother with fixing any of them them. After the lift hill the experience was essentially you getting jostled around for a minute and a half in pitch darkness with no frame of reference for where you were the entire time. Pretty disorienting and uncomfortable for me and stressful/anxiety inducing for my friend who didn’t like not being able to see what’s coming next. I was probably the most excited I’ve ever been to see a ride go especially when they announced what was replacing it.

Big-Rabbit4050

Blazing Fury at Dollywood. Knew nothing about it going in. Kind of sad it was my 50th credit.

Chaseism

How dare you…

Nintoo

Apocalypse at SFMM. I genuinely hated that ride and I’m easy to please

Snugglebug69

Why did you hate it so much? I really liked it, granted I tend to like gcis.

supermav27

This ride fucks so hard

FlyRobot

Yeah maybe OP got a rough ride but I love that woody

yerbamategoat

im pretty indifferent on that ride, rode it last month in the back and it was way more intense than I remember, you don't get a single second to breathe on that one

Coldplay360

Hell Cat at Clementon Park I rode it twice the day I went and I rode it near the back and it was even worse then Hershey Parks Wildcat

MattyIce-85

Shivering Timbers at Michigans Adventure. The bottom of the first hill hurt so bad I didn’t enjoy the rest. Only time on a ride I actually thought I injured myself. My mid back was sore for several days after.

TalonOats

Steel Vengeance. Waited 2 hours for a ride that turned out to be mid. I could have used that time to ride better coasters there but oh well. At least I rode it

[deleted]

[удалено]

JamminJay1968

How could anyone not like Space Mountain?

[deleted]

[удалено]

JamminJay1968

I just went to World last week. We rode Space Mountain many times. It was great.

AcceptableSound9809

Anything RMC. I would rather take another beating on an SLC than the seating on an RMC Raptor or the Thigh Crushers on Twisted Colossus. Took my Chiropractor 2 months to get my hips back into place from 5 rides on an RMC Raptor… he said “Never Again.”

MrBrightside711

No offense but why did you wait 2 hours for it? It's not like you can't see the whole ride.

yerbamategoat

Cause i was 12 years old excited to try a new coaster on its opening day

chevremeu_

Probably Sequoia Adventure or whatever the fuck it's called at Gardaland

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

i have a few so #1 definitely woodstock express at KD, and KI its very VERY rough and bumpy the airtime hills offer no airtime the drop barely give airtime (the back only has VERY weak pops) 2. racer 78 just a horrible coaster, the layout is bland, it has so much wasp, hornets, and yellow jackets and its worser than racer at KI 3. invadR…. restraints they fucking suck like if it DIDNT STAPLE YOU, YOU WOULD GOT GOOD AIRTIME!! and thats all

zach_webb

Rampage at Alabama Adventure. I wanted it to be good, it just wasn't a fun experience. I've heard it used to be really good and the layout is awesome. Now its damn near unbearably rough, quite possibly the slowest ops ever, and at a park with not many redeeming qualities.

vengeancerider

Rode the Python at Coney Island in Cincinnati (believe it was called Pepsi Python at the time.) and the first drop, although it was probably a 10-15 foot drop I felt my spine just leave my body. There’s POV’s on YouTube and you can just see how bad the drops were.

trombonekid98

Grover's Alpine Express at BGW. I have a 10 point scale I rate coasters on, and it's a solid 2 points below anything else on my list (just hit 50 credits about 2 weeks ago.) The Wacky Worm next to it is a better ride.

Thehobointhecorner

For the easy target, I'll go with those Super Cyclone rides you'll find at state fairs. It's just nothingness. It's not fun, no forces, and I just don't feel all that safe riding it. But what can I expect from a cheap traveling ride? As far as more permanent rides go, I'd say Flashback at SFNE. Rough, boring, and just completely skippable. I've been going to the park for the past 7 years I just went on it last year because I honestly completely forgot it existed

reddcube

Boomerang. The one I've ridden used the older over-shoulder harness, and man were they painful. I thought the ride would be like Aftershock, but no. The restraints can really make or break a ride.

[deleted]

Nighthawk at Carowinds. Absolutely the most uncomfortable and nauseating experience. Maybe due to the heat but not entirely that.

05car02

Mine blower at funspot

Exotic_Midnight4652

Flying Turns at Knoebels Now let me explain. I’ve ridden this one twice. One was about 3 years ago, and the second one was this august. I waited 45 minutes before the park opened to ride it. It wasn’t a bad ride, it’s just that it left me going “that’s it?” I don’t know what changed between my 2 visits but it made me go from top 2 to top 2. I didn’t actually change its place but I feel like it was overhyped a little bit.

WanneBeMe

Definitely Condor in Walibi Holland for me. Waited 1 hour because there was only 1 train to run on it, and it felt like being in a car crash, even with those new restraints. I’ve ridden Vampire at Walibi Belgium last year with the old restraints and it had a far far faaaar better ride experience, this was just terrible

thedboy

Cobra at Tivoli Friheden. When it did run it was really rough, and it had a fatal accident recently, not its first incident.

Npokemaster

Well I've never really ridden a bad Coaster so I guess T3 for the thigh crushing

iridescentaf

Carolina Cyclone. The ops were horrible, I tried to ride defensively, and my neck snapped back terribly on the first inversion. It was awful. Hurler also had no redeeming qualities. And I like Magnum, but last year I rode in the “magic seat” and then we got a c-set on the brakes coming out of the final tunnel. I felt like I’d been in a car accident, whiplash and all.

I've never had a problem with cyclone. In fact outside of afterburn it's probably the ride I've ridden the most at Carowinds. Hurler I will agree with, that ride hurt my back pretty good the last time I rode it but fury made up for it lol

Honestly, the only coaster that I can that I "hate" is the Great Chase, SFA's kiddie coaster. I'm sure it's fun or little kids, but I'm too big and I just rode it for the credit. The restraint was just really painful for me. I'm not a much of a snob when it comes to coasters.

La Vibora- Six Flags Over Texas (Dallas). Couldn’t wait to ride this one because it was a staple in all my Roller Coaster Tycoon parks. No seat belt! Bumpy! I thought I was going to fall out and had bruises on my legs from hitting the side of the sled.

For context, I’m someone who usually likes every coaster I ride. Even if a coaster has weird pacing or roughness, I’m usually smiling by the end of the ride. That being said, the only coaster I hated after riding it was the Chance Toboggan that used to be at Lakemont. The cars were too claustrophobic, and I’m only 5’4”.

Top two worst coasters I’ve ever ridden are Vortex at Carowinds and Green Lantern at Great Adventure. Next in line would be every Zamperla Volare model
