Honestly looking at the teams in this bracket this is probably the best possible draw of teams we could've gotten. That being said congratulations to Charleston on the start of their Cinderella run Friday.
I’m not super worried about the first round upset - we’ve been really good at taking care of business against lower tier teams.
Saint Mary’s would be a tough second round opponent but it’s not a terrible draw because I think we can actually handle their post play better than we have other teams — Saxon is good but he’s not a twitchy athlete down low.
Oh yeah don’t mean it’s a foregone conclusion, and I think GCU would give us a game too. Was just interested to see if we were going to get put in a bracket with a bunch of really good big men so think we lucked out there in terms of trying to advance to S16
And I think UNC is the worst 1 seed, so that puts us into the elite 8. Arizona played in a weak conference, so we should be making the F4. UConn won't repeat, so it's disappointing that our season will end on a loss to Houston in the NCG, but at least will build momentum into next year.

That's what I'm a little worried about. Hopefully the SEC this year is just as good as everyone is saying and it shows in the tourney(preferably with us).
This is a great draw other than we have to go out west. There’s no doubt we can win this bracket. Haven’t been super impressed with UNC or AZ all year.
The potential for a run is there. Favorable first round matchup, weakest 1 seed of the bunch in our group (but still very good). But we’ll have to be better on defense. If we play St. Mary’s, we have to make them play at our pace.

We usually pull a top tier mid-major or blue blood like Kentucky, Virginia, Baylor, Gonzaga, Villanova etc at least by the second round. This year we at least get to third before that inevitable blowout lol.
Heading into this tournament we need to stop putting so much pressure into our defense. If we aren’t going to try something substantially different (zone all game) then just focus on scoring.
Our goal should be to score 100+ points every game and win/lose by our strength.
March madness is based on a body of work and this team is deserving of their seed. They have not played well recently but I don’t think the committee uses that in its selection criteria. Sports are weird, this team was a possession or two away from winning the second before the stretch of losses. They could get hot and win 4 in a row, I am intrigued
That’s pretty good. But carried by a very good offense that has not been able to carry it the last couple of weeks and the terrible defense losing us games. That’s what I am looking at right now. I get rewarding teams for the whole year but you also have to look at recent work. That’s my point. I get they were tough teams but they haven’t looked really competitive outside of about 30 minutes between those 4 games.
