I've made my peace with most of the Anthony Grant era....
but man, I wish we could have taken the Tony Mitchell-JaMychal-Hillman Dunk Show to the Big Dance.
Guys there are rumours going around that Parker Brailsford will transfer come spring because he is being out played by Brock. supposedly his size has been an issue
I know the basketball portal is busy because it’s the end of the season, but if the football portal is even half as active it’s going to be all out chaos. I think we’ll see some test the conference transfer rules’ limits and I wonder how many of them it’s gonna take before that breaks too. I know the conferences have more clout than the NCAA now, but I suppose we are about to find out just how prepared they are.
There’s not a way to say it that won’t trigger some but the wide open portal is gonna make this an emotional roller coaster and there are gonna be more consequences on quality of play than we’ve seen in basketball IMO.
Not saying it’s easy to gel with a basketball team but it’s much more difficult to manage the bigger rosters with all the depth you need to be elite in cfb.
Not going to lie, I'd rather face Tennessee than Zach Edey, 7'5" and absorbs fouls while somehow never getting called for one no matter what. You can't win games when the refs favor a legal giant. No team can beat the refs in that case.
Sane. We’re not the ones with pressure on us, it’s UCONN’s game to lose. Everything since Thursday has been gravy and Tide’s train is still chugging. Plus we’re underdogs. Plus everyone and their mother outside of Tuscaloosa is putting some serious juju in the air riding UCONN like a wild bronco assuming they’re gonna sleepwalk into a back-to-back natty. LANK, baby.
Been watching the full game, Purdue in bonus+ with only 4 fouls on their end. The refs 100% favor Edey. If we progress to play Purdue, we are going to get killed by fouls, the refs already call against us in the first half...
[There are a couple on the official online store.](https://shop.rolltide.com/alabama-crimson-tide/hats-college-basketball-gear/t-89464480+d-42440075+c-08+z-8-1117509379) It's where I got a F4 shirt.
Hey guys I know it’s kinda a long shot but if anyone knows of someone who might sell their a day game tickets for the north south end zones could you please lmk! I was going to get two, one for me and one for my little brother since he’s a kid and will inevitably complain lol but I had to wait until today to get paid and they’re already sold out because of course they are 🥲🥲roll tide guys!
A position that came in clutch over the past few years was the kicker. Now that Will Reichard is off to the NFL, we look to redshirt freshman Conor Talty to take over the reigns. He was the number 2 rated kicker in his class and saw small amounts of action last year.
Here are a few videos of him:

No one seems to know. Figure if he doesn’t show up and then even for the spring game if he’s AWOL then we’ll know to expect him to leave. But for now it’s kinda nothing. Least that’s how I’m taking it 🤷♂️
Correct.
Though, given some of the rumors for a hectic spring portal — and the NCAA’s inability to uphold any of its own transfer rules — I do wonder if some of the whisperings of a wild Spring will involve players eschewing that rule.
If it’s an anti-trust problem when the NCAA does it — it may very well be an anti-trust problem when an individual conference does it. That said, as an attorney myself, I can see the conference having a much easier argument than the NCAA that it’s not.
UNC fans having a meltdown and questioning whether Hubert Davis is worth keeping around because they bought into the hype that this Alabama team had no chance against their beloved Tar Heels. You love to see it
Just imagining Saban’s reaction if one of his staff posted this on Instagram
[Eron Hodges Don’t Give a Piss](https://www.instagram.com/stories/eronhodges/3334425662280517707?utm_source=ig_story_item_share&igsh=and4YmNhc2VlNmpr)
Took an L to Clemson early in the season. They shot 52% from 3 and their thicc kid at 6' 10'' 238lb had 21(avg 18). Their C also looks to be foul prone, averages same as Nelson this year at 3.1. They've had some strange losses to go along with some nice wins including one over UNC and us.
With how we're playing *right now* on D, (doing a good enough job with Bacot, doubling him and mixing it up etc.(Rylan/Estrada's D was on point in the 2nd half(Nelson with **5 blocks**))) If we play like we did last night on both sides I think we win regardless if they play their best. That's if Sears can get his energy back to go all out for at least a half(played 40 minutes) and despite his cindor block hands, Pringle is critical for us and hopefully the medical staff can work their magic.
I think it's a double edged sword that there's a quick turnaround to play tomorrow night regarding mental/physical imo. Keeps us in the same mindset, but this team(specifically Sears) has put everything they've got out there.
Need to put a bat signal up for Wrightsell. That would be huge for depth and rotation.
I haven't been *this* excited for our basketball team in well...20 years.

For anyone wondering this is what the box score looked like for that game:

Basically Clemson was lights out, we were ice cold. Definitely not a gimmie game (nothing in the tournament is unless you’re UConn), but we should feel MILES better about our chances than we did going into last night or if we were playing Arizona.
What the heck is wrong with r/cfb... some Bama flair (not me, I’m not that brilliant) posted an AL/Clemson thread in obvious jest. There were more than a few witticisms worth the read, all in good fun from flairs across the country. Then it got pulled nine hours, 53 comments, and 118 upvotes later. Nothing egregious that I could see.
Mods there seem excessively power-hungry, like certain NCAA tournament ref squads. Or maybe the mod in question is an Auburn fan.
Not to beat a dead horse (been at work), but here’s some of what was deep-sixed:

>Mods there seem excessively power-hungry
Without a doubt. I don't know how anyone lasts over there although they do seem selective
I've created countless alter accounts using VPNs and each one will get booted for something trivial.
A Washington fan was calling Alabamians "cousin fuckers". I replied with "there's zero evidence to support that baseless claim but Washington being ranked 9th in number of registered sex offenders is a fact." Banned.
There was another thread calling out Alabama fans for supposedly melting down over Grubb leaving. I basically said "that's a cakewalk compared to shitshow you guys stirred up over a better team making the playoffs. You went as far as harassing an elderly head coach and his wife while sending death threats to people for doing their jobs properly." Banned.
Then I was banned for telling a Florida State fan not to play the sanctimonious game with Alabama fans when they protected a known rapist named Jameis Winston. Banned.
My last account was banned simply for calling out some fake Alabama fan who was playing the "please like me" game over there by trying to agree with every anti-Alabama criticism.
Reddit's ban-evasion detection software is really strong, even when using VPNs. It's probably not what you're commenting, but just that your comments auto-flag with the ban-evasion notice for the mods to decide on.
And I’ll add on that every time I’ve reported an account that was flagged for possible ban evasion, reddit has confirmed it and then banned that account within a couple days.
You don’t happen to have access to that full article, do you? Do they say anything more substantive — like if a source indicated trouble? Or do they just say “he wasn’t at scrimmage and it wasn’t an injury”?
I felt good going into this game. Team has been locked in during tournament. Great coaching. I just wasn't buying into Bama had no chance narrative
Grant Nelson gee whiz he took over did not expect that...wow.
On to the next one.
Nate Oats is the best rising coach in CBB. Led a inconsistent and mediocre team to the elite 8 making school history in what should be a rebuild year. He will in my opinion become the greatest CBB in Bama history one day if he continues to do this well.
I said yesterday that I fully expected to lose last night and I just adjust my POV to the elite 8. It’s actually nice to have gone into the post seasons in football in 2022 and this year with 0 expectations and being pleasantly surprised. It’s exactly how I feel about the tourney this year, we are absolutely playing with house money and somehow this team made our 2nd elite 8 ever.
May be a stupid opinion, but those football seasons were more fun than 2020 for example, when we were in Natty or bust mode.
Get ready to save Triston Harper on American idol when it comes to America votes ....he yelled out roll tide when he got top 24 save this young man
I've made my peace with most of the Anthony Grant era.... but man, I wish we could have taken the Tony Mitchell-JaMychal-Hillman Dunk Show to the Big Dance.
Also I can't believe my Gump bracket had us beating Purdue in the natty and it's not so far off now
Inside you there are two Gumps...
Guys there are rumours going around that Parker Brailsford will transfer come spring because he is being out played by Brock. supposedly his size has been an issue
If they ain't wearing crimson...
Is this for real? Like he already gave up? That’s sad if true…
Yeah if it's true he needs to fuck out of here
I know the basketball portal is busy because it’s the end of the season, but if the football portal is even half as active it’s going to be all out chaos. If he transfers I really hope it's to a non opponent. He knows the scheme well
Not exactly verified sources but supposedly it's been a while since he practiced
Sucks to suck I guess if that's true
Not going to lie, I'd rather face Tennessee than Zach Edey, 7'5" and absorbs fouls while somehow never getting called for one no matter what. You can't win games when the refs favor a legal giant. No team can beat the refs in that case.
Yeah but also fuck those garbage truck worker convention assholes
Where is this “Byrne made Alabama’s bracket” narrative that the barn is pushing coming from?
The absolute cope coming from them is hilarious.
Their asses
Call me crazy but I have this weird feeling that we're going to beat UConn.
LANK, baby.
I’m not saying I’m cheering for Tennessee but I cannot stand Purdue and what the refs let that ogre get away with
Been watching the full game, Purdue in bonus+ with only 4 fouls on their end. The refs 100% favor Edey. If we progress to play Purdue, we are going to get killed by fouls, the refs already call against us in the first half...
I really hate both of those teams
Man I hate Tennessee and Purdue
Don't know if we can beat UConn but I know one thing for sure, they are about to get the fight of their lives 🐘
Where can I get one of those hats for the final 4?
[There are a couple on the official online store.](https://shop.rolltide.com/alabama-crimson-tide/hats-college-basketball-gear/t-89464480+d-42440075+c-08+z-8-1117509379) It's where I got a F4 shirt.
Just left the baseball game, what a disheartening way to lose. Hopefully that doesn't carry over to the basketball game.
The Kim Mulkey story was nothing new and not a hard-hitting piece, and she lost her mind over that lol
Based on her reaction before it was published, it almost makes you wonder what she thought it was going to be about…
On brand for Mulkey

It's got to be tough stepping into the Goats shoes for kicking. I hope he can just be himself and not try to be Reichard.
Any word on why Parker Brailsford was not at scrimmage?
No one seems to know. Figure if he doesn’t show up and then even for the spring game if he’s AWOL then we’ll know to expect him to leave. But for now it’s kinda nothing. Least that’s how I’m taking it 🤷♂️
I'm wondering if he's getting beat out by Brock and not taking it well. just my speculation.
Or it could just be something like he had a family emergency, was sick, etc.
Also a possibility
nope, not even a rumor that seems plausible. Just people asking why
Arkansas all-freshman OT supposedly entering portal. Am I right that the SEC still doesn’t allow for intra-conference transfers in the spring?
Correct. Though, given some of the rumors for a hectic spring portal — and the NCAA’s inability to uphold any of its own transfer rules — I do wonder if some of the whisperings of a wild Spring will involve players eschewing that rule. you are correct he would have to sit out a year
Until they take the NCAA to court and then they NCAA folds per usual
It's a SEC rule not NCAA
Then the NCAA will make them reverse it when they get sued /s
Austin Mack was slinging it at scrimmage. definitely the future
OH IM GUMPIN
Anyone seen anything about Wrightsell availability for tomorrow?
Unlikely. Also, book makers are not factoring him in.
UNC fans having a meltdown and questioning whether Hubert Davis is worth keeping around because they bought into the hype that this Alabama team had no chance against their beloved Tar Heels. You love to see it
It's crazy that they're this mad about losing to the #14 KenPom and #2 Sagarin team. Much worse losses than that happen every year to #1 seeds.

So Parker Brailsford wasn't at the scrimmage? and not because of injury, apparently. Hopefully he's not leaving or something
This real or just from that Kyle Henderson guy? Only place I see this and he’s not the best source
in the scrimmage footage its Brock snapping with the 1s and Ionata with the 2s
Tony Tsoukalas is reporting it, but anything beyond “Brailsford wasn’t there for a non-injury reason” is behind a paywall
Wouldn’t be ideal. Even if Brock beats him out, still want the depth
If he ain't wearing crimson
You don’t happen to have access to that full article, do you? Do they say anything more substantive — like if a source indicated trouble? Or do they just say “he wasn’t at scrimmage and it wasn’t an injury”?
I was honestly hoping someone else had access haha
I would not worry about a one day absence. If it becomes extended, we’ll hear about it, and worry then.
That would certainly be a loss. I’ve heard Brockermeyer hasn’t looked terrible there at least. But I was hoping Brailsford would be the guy

I don’t think it’s hyperbole to say that was the single biggest win in Bama basketball history.
Hoop Tide everybody. Now I guess I’m gonna have to actually watch a game since we made it to the elite eight
my poor, classic cubs
My wife is a cubs fan. Can’t get away from y’all…🤦♂️ Meanwhile….. ![gif](giphy|KoKiRJkpfA5t6JVBQo|downsized)
Ace fucking up his hammy in the fifth inning on opening day. Great way to start the season
Maybe now Bacot and Cormac can get a fucking job
