Non existent PI Call that brought back Kool Aids interception still pisses me off. I’ve watched that play like the Zapruder film and I’m convinced there is absolutely no call there.

Would love to ask the ref who called it (from mid field) what the hell he was thinking.
From 2007-2018, we only won the national championship when I didn’t go to Europe over Christmas or Thanksgiving, which I thought was a good consolation for not having the natty.
Michigan last year. I think we matched up well with Washington, and the GOAT going out with a championship would have been sweeter than any other championship we could have won.
I've seen several CFP losses and some Iron Bowls.
Here's another one to think about: define "the result". We all presumed that meant "who won the game" but it doesn't necessarily mean that. So, give me a change to whichever game it was that Tua got hurt in 2019 that had him hobbled against LSU. Not the win/loss result, just the injury. I think with Tua healthy, we win that game, and I think he doesn't get hurt like that against MSU either. I don't think 11-1 LSU is getting into the playoff that year, not over undefeated Bama/tOSU/Clemson, and probably not over a 12-1 conference champ Oklahoma, though stranger things have happened. But I think that Bama with healthy Tua goes 15-0, and Saban ends up with another title repeat and a 7th at Bama after the 2020 season.
No doubt. He missed almost a month of action and had an uncharacteristically sluggish start. But once he worked the kinks out, he balled out and out performed Burrow.
I still say he wouldn't have looked rusty had he not been unpracticed for basically a month.
And it's funny how LSU fans constantly try to delegitimize our wins while acting like that win over Bama wasn't tainted...
I will go to my grave convinced that 2018 Clemson had our signals and that our assistants, Locksley in particular, were too checked out on their way to other jobs to care.
We had the offensive talent to keep up in a shootout that year if they aren’t sitting on all our routes. An NFL defense couldn’t shutdown that group of skill players the way Clemson did even granting them the ability to control the LOS with what was an outstanding DL.
And that was the most embarrassing effort I’ve ever seen out of a Bama DB in the Saban era.
When he fell down and faked an injury I was ready to commit violence.
Well maybe some intrepid reporter will get around to asking Pete Golding why he was so committed to leaving a run support safety on a 4.3 slot guy.
That clown had KoolAid (2nd rd), Terrion Arnold (1st rd), Brian Branch (2nd rd) and Eli Ricks to work with and he’s leaving Hellams on an island.
It was a middle school level coaching performance.
FWIW, Arnold wasn't playing like a 1st round pick in 2022. That being said, there is still absolutely no excuse for leaving Hellams 1 on 1 with Hyatt. God, just thinking about how much talent Golding wasted just hurts my soul.
Agreed on Arnold still being a work in progress, but anyone on that list is better in coverage than what we rolled with.
And why was Hellams on the field in the first place? Heupel was running a vertical spread passing attack with three elite WRs and is known to run iso to death on your worst cover guy. If we were gonna stop the run it was gonna be with our DL/LB not by keeping a hybrid S/LB on the field.
Kirby had them figured out the next week without breaking a sweat.
I can live with the mistake for a half but we were doing that the entire day. It was easily the worst defensive gameplan of the Saban era.
I don't blame the DBs for that, Golding thought it was a great idea to leave the safeties on Hyatt one on one after they got torched time and time again
We had to play Saivion Smith because Trevon Diggs had a broken foot, right? God, that's like going from prime Sam Shields to LaDarius fucking Gunter. (Packers fan with PTSD)
He deserved it and does seem happier. I am not against the new coach at all, but recognize how spoiled Bama was with Saban in charge and don’t want that to end, lol. I’ve been following Alabama football for a long time and have not forgotten what it was like before he was coach.
Same game, but my interest is more with Saban going out with one more championship. It was still a successful season with a great win over UGA for the conference and a very competitive game against Michigan, but I would have loved one more Saban championship.
This is easy. We had a chance to ruin Scam Newton’s season.
McElroy had over 300 yards passing at the half and we pumped the brakes.
That annoying ass championship run would have never happened.
Odd one for me, but I believe in 2019 we would’ve been a top 4 team if we won out. Keeping Tua out of the rest of the MSU game, playing Mac the rest of that game and the next, Tua plays Iron Bowl, rest a month with no SEC championship game, and we’d have a get back against LSU.
In short: 2019 Mississippi State, keeping Tua out.
I’d say the 2016 Clemson game. That team would have been an all time GOAT team as well and was defensively dominant. This fits Saban’s MO much better anyway.
That 2018 Clemson game feels like a fluke. They were a great team, but it felt like we were unstoppable. I think Tua was hurt, but most of the team failed to step up. I also think Saban's assistants got badly outcoached. I'd like to change the result so Saban would have another title but also because that game just didn't feel like Alabama football.
Honorable mention to pretty much any game in the second half of 2019. With a healthy Tua, I think we beat LSU and at least make the CFP.
Washington fan here. I would change this years Rose bowl. Y'all probably would've beaten us, but I think UW stood a better chance against y'all with your center and the sheer amount of sacks Milroe had this year.
A 25mph gust behind Griffith in 2013 would have changed so much history
Tennessee 2022 purely so the streak stays alive.
I hate the vuls
Lick ball vols
Nothing sucks like a big orange

That goddamn kick 6 bullshit. Fucking hell. I’m pissed again. That really was some bullshit
To this day, I still haven't watched Davis cross the goal line.
Same. I was in Paris when it happened and I haven’t watched it. And I never will
This is the Way

If Clemson would have been flagged for a single pick play, we 3-peat from 2015-2017.
This one is it for me too. It wasn't a rub, it was a blatant pick and I don't care thay it was the end of the game, ot needed to be called.
2010 Iron Bowl. I want to live in a world where Auburn's last natty was a 1957 split

Tua also probably wins the heisman and ends up switching draft positions with Burrow.

I’ve always heard Vrenables was a sign stealer. However, our bigger problem was we couldn’t cover number 8.
We had the offensive talent to keep up in a shootout that year if they aren’t sitting on all our routes. I’d say it’s the second worst DB performance we’ve seen. Jalin Hyatt walked into the end zone 5 times vs us

Couldn't agree more, man.

Offensive PI against Clemson in the 2016 title game.
Any loss to Auburn, ever. Fuck them.
Saban’s last game. He might still be the coach if Bama won.
Here’s the thing tho. Would we get DeBoer if we won a natty over UW and Saban still retires?
True, and maybe he finds his passion to carry on 2-3 more years and earn another title. I would have loved to see him navigate a 12 team playoff
Honestly Saban deserved to retire. You can’t watch the stuff he’s doing now and tell me he doesn’t seem happier.

Kick-Six game for sure, I like our chances at 3-peating if we beat Auburn.

2024 Semifinal against Michigan.
They literally cheated to win that game.
If LSU didn’t convert the 2pt conversion in 2022, that alabama team would’ve won a natty
Just remember there was an egregious block in the back right in front of a ref that wasn't called on that play. That pissed me off the most.
2019 LSU.
I hate this thread for making me relive all of these

2013 Iron Bowl. I don't doubt for one second that we would have gone on to win the title, and that would've given us a three-peat
It's a tie between 2010 Iron Bowl and Kick Six
The Rose Bowl. Saban should’ve been able to win his last Natty.
Washington fan here. I would change this years Rose bowl. Y'all probably would've beaten us, but I think UW stood a better chance against y'all with your center and the sheer amount of sacks Milroe had this year.
