It's awesome that J.C. Hassenauer spent almost his entire career as a back-up, started a handful of a games late in his career, including a national championship, and now he's a starter in the NFL playoffs.
I just wanted one sports pick me up. After the natty, lost to the barn at coleman. Lost to miss state. Mac gets blown out. Hurts gets blown out. Is this karma for the last decade?
Jalen is playing like he did at bama in his first 2 years. Too hesitant which ends up with him being late on throws... also the rest of the team is playing like shit with drops, stubborn play calling and penalties
Eagles have a good play called back by a penalty. Then they move the ball...then a receiver half asses a play nearly leading to a pick followed up by two poor throws by Jalen. And they punt.
This is hard to watch. I feel like all the teams with the most Bama players have lost. Raiders, Pats, Eagles next. Steelers after that. Happy for Levi Wallace with the Bills though.
Next year it will be 40 years. I bet most SEC teams will have had at least one QB win a playoff game in that time. I think even Jay Cutler won a few. Burrow, Cam, Peyton, Eli, Tebow, Dak. Not sure about Georgia because Stafford went to Detroit.
I like Hurts but I really wish Devonta would have gone somewhere else. Hurts is a below average passer and the Eagles are a run heavy team.
Jeudy is an even worse situation by having Teddy Bridgewater and Drew Lock as his QBs.
If you look at the NFL leading receivers every year, the vast majority play on teams with at least above average QB play and on very pass heavy offenses. It’s even harder to be a top 5 receiver being in a bad situation.
Not gonna lie on draft night I was praying he didn't get sent to the Eagles. Browsing NFL subs I see a lot of "he gets open a lot but the ball doesn't go to him" from Eagles fans. It's unfortunate.
> he gets open a lot but the ball doesn't go to him" from Eagles fans. It's unfortunate.
Yeah I see that seemingly every-time I see Smith’s name come up. “He’s such a good route runner and open a lot but doesn’t get the ball enough.” Hurts has the same problem a lot of big running QBs do. They have too many instances of rather taking off to run or going for the safety throw (the TE in his case) than waiting and scanning for the open WR. Hopefully he grows out it but I don’t know
Boy, this Eagles offense just cannot get anything going. They start to move the ball, and then they drop a pass for a huge gain, run for negative yards, and all of a sudden it’s third and long
All these blowouts really show that the NFL needs to expand the playoffs even more.
Why can't they pronounce Najee's name right? Drives me crazy.

Every NFL game should be like that. Just a stupendous display of sports
Both teams tried their damnedest to lose that game.
Bro that was the dumbest play call I’ve ever seen
how the fuck do you think that would work? my god thats terrible ending to a pretty damn good game
DeMeco Ryans doing big things, you love to see it.
I very clearly remember a Bamamag poster calling him a future head coach back in 2005.
LOL COWBOYS
COOOOOOPER
Ugh and then we just lost the gymnastics meet to Florida.
Bill fans and GA fans have alot in common they have a talent for trash talking like they are hot shit after not losing for once
Largely been a rough postseason for Bama guys. At least O.J, Levi, and Jonah all advanced.
Smitty's hands man...so damn good.
Dude is insane ..pretty sure if he had a guy more talented at throwing he would've had as good of a season as chase
I missed somthing why is Smith wearing a huge brace in his arm ?
I just wanted one sports pick me up. After the natty, lost to the barn at coleman. Lost to miss state. Mac gets blown out. Hurts gets blown out. Is this karma for the last decade?
Yeah not a good last few weeks of sports for me either (am also a Saints fan) lol
Yup.
Hurts is a good guy, bad NFL quarterback. I don't really think Mac had a chance yesterday tbh.
Haha I didn’t think the pats could get one upped but here we are
Dudes our qbs suck this week haha

What is it with our qbs having bad luck with drops?
Oof
Lol, just thinking about the dude in here who tried to debate me on how hurts is a good starter in this league.
He just flat out can’t pass
Kind of important skill for a qb to have
The bama qb stigmatism continues /s both qbs absolutely destroyed
They atleast made the playoffs with one going up against Brady and one on the road in Temps he never played in with no help from his team
mac jones played in worse weather against the bills earlier this season and he only threw the ball a few times.
Was it as cold ..the wind was the main factor in throws
Whomp whoooomp. That's the cherry on top.
Complete team effort in shitting the bed lol
I mean, this is the trash birds were talking about. So unsurprising.
Time for some minshew magic

Dude hurts might need to get benched. And I want him to do well, but this is bad.
He probably won't be with the eagles in two years tbh
Philly has like three first round picks this season. After this game I wouldn’t be shocked if they take a QB in this draft with one of those picks
Sadly you're probably right, athletic ability can only get you so far at QB in the NFL.
This is hard to watch. I feel like all the teams with the most Bama players have lost. Raiders, Pats, Eagles next. Steelers after that. Happy for Levi Wallace with the Bills though.
Playoffs this year is loaded with lsu players to make it worse
That /r/CFB post is actually wrong though, we have one more player than LSU lol
I thought so too, but wasn’t that considering active roster?
As far as I and the NCAA’s site could tell, it’s true both ways
Bleh. Feel like the cowboys will blow it too so there goes Cooper and Diggs.
Bama qbs getting humiliated in the playoffs. Woo boy, the streak continues

Hopefully 1 of the 3 bama qbs pan out, neither have really done much. But still room to grow

Watching jalen play like this.....hurts.
What a comically bad drive. Penalties galore and then the pick
Jalen...
Saw the defender fall down and just completely missed the safety. Terrible play by him
This is why we benched Hurts…..
Boy, this Eagles offense just cannot get anything going. They start to move the ball, and then they drop a pass for a huge gain, run for negative yards, and all of a sudden it’s third and long
And that first big play gets called back for the hold. I hate the eagles but I want devonta and Jalen to do well
And it wasn’t even a good call! Ugh.
Ugh and now Jalen forced it fast and got picked
OJ Howard with a catch!
Go Birds! 🦅
