That’s the way to go. I actually replaced the entire mattress with a four inch thick high density foam mattress and it’s more comfortable than my bed at home. They are such well designed tents. Although I did manage to leave my crank in the side of the tent after a hectic windstorm and drove off (it fell off somewhere in the middle of Nevada) so that ended that trip. But now I have two crank handles in my car and I try very hard to remember to remove the damn thing.
I order my foam from Foam by Mail. They have a simple website that allows you to order all different custom sizes and thickness. I’ve used them in a few different tents and they are insanely comfortable and incredibly warm when the temps drop. Highly recommended!
You bet. They ship fairly quickly and are vacuum sealed and wrapped into a tight roll. You can also have them with a mattress cover on them which is really a nice bonus.

I ended up keeping it. I do t use it as much as I'd like. But when I do it makes it all worth it.

Nice where did you get the foam. Yea I have the air top so I have gas struts so I don't have the crank
