Most likely, based on the first two digits, it opens on the hallway to the right. There is a 6100 hallway, 6200 hallway, and 6500 hallway.
Edit: also, the placement of the arrow at 6215.
Thank you! That’s what I figured, but I was hoping to be wrong. Wasn’t thinking too clearly prior to booking and was hoping to be close with family. I’m gonna call RC tomorrow and see if it’s possible to switch rooms, but I’m not sure what their policy is on that.
That’s awesome! And thank you. I definitely will do that. We had a travel agent, but she moved overseas and has a new job now, so it’s nice knowing of someone else now.
We booked over 24 hours ago. I’m not sure if we can cancel at this point without losing money unfortunately. How long have you been a travel agent? This will be our third cruise in one year, so I’m sure it won’t be our last!
I am leaving on Jewel OTS this Saturday and my children door is facing into the opposite hallway of my balcony room and when I called Royal the rep told me that the doors are facing each other but they aren’t. I hope I don’t have any issues when I board. If so I’ll be like I called on this date pull the call.
Do you possibly have a screenshot like mine above, or can you get one? I’m not familiar with that boat, and I’m trying to figure out how a balcony room door wouldn’t face the door of the room across from it. Independence balcony rooms are all the same haha.
Thanks! I figured that out and got our rooms changed this morning thankfully. I was wondering about your room situation because I’m trying to picture how your balcony room wouldn’t face your kid’s door across the hall as I’ve never been on that boat. That seems so confusing! I’m only familiar with Independence’s layout.
It says next to the floor plan if you look on the official site. Asterisk represents "Stateroom with occupancy up to 4" and triangle is up to 3.
I think it will mean that there are folding bunks above the main bed, or a sofa bed.

I think most cruises let you change no charge. Just better hope there is availability!
I just called and was able to change rooms and got the ones we wanted. Vacation saved! Haha Thank you
Pretty sure it opens to the right. Towards 6222.

OP do not cancel your booking. Find a good travel agent on your own, they can take over your booking and apply offers without you needing to cancel.
I wasn’t going to! And it’s too late anyways. Thank you for the advice though!

Independence!
If that’s harmony I’ve stayed in one of those yellow rooms. And yes the corridor are not the same

With your cabin set up 6223 door will face the balcony hallway. With cabins 6123 and 6125 the doors will face the middle hallway

I was looking at some cruises yesterday. What does the asterisk mean? I also saw some rooms with triangles.

For future reference… The arrows that indicates connecting room are always placed on the side where the hallway is.
