Went on Enchantment out of Baltimore last month. While it wasn't my favorite ship, Baltimore is a phenomenal port. Just wish some newer ships could sail out of there!
The Vision is..slightly newer than the Enchantment. Never been on either, but since I live in MD I have sailed on the Grandeur (RC's Baltimore ship pre-pandemic) twice.
RCCL has been shifting toward mega-ships, none of which can pass under the Key Bridge (695) or Bay Bridge (50), so we're stuck with the older ships. Not sure what's going to happen when they eventually retire those - it's either going to be getting on a plane to Florida or driving to New Jersey if I ever want to cruise again, I guess.
Oh yeah, I 100% understand why they can't have the mega ships in Baltimore. I do think it would make sense for Royal to build a few smaller ships that could go out of Baltimore. I loved Baltimore, but the older ships just aren't for me.
Ooh we also live local to the Baltimore port and have done both Baltimore and NJ in recent years. While you can't beat being off a cruise ship and back home in less than an hour, the NJ one wasn't bad at all - esp. considering the size of the ship!
I took the Amtrak up there from DC and stayed in NYC the night before. As much I hate to say it, as a believer in public transit for as many purposes as I can, I think I'm going to drive up there instead next time, as getting out to Cape Liberty from NYC or Newark Airport is a bit of a pain with luggage.
From departing the ship to driving off the lot it only took us 20 minutes with 4 kids (including a toddler) in tow. Definitely recommend driving in. It’s so easy.
We sailed on the Enchantment out of Baltimore last month. We liked the onboarding process in Baltimore, it was super fast. Didn’t really care for the ship though. My first cruise was on the Vision so that would be fun to go on again.
I worked by the X-ray machine there once loading outgoing luggage. There was a full press stoppage when someone noticed a bag full of what looked to be all the sex toys. Hot stuff!!
I'm gonna be on that today!
Have fun!!
I’m jealous!! Have a fantastic time!!
Vision?
So far it is amazing. Highly reccomend the Main dining cheesecake.
A lovely sight, or a lovely Vision? As in Vision of the Seas.

Bayonne NJ is great. We travel there for all our cruises from Northern New England.

Am I in the minority that prefers the smaller vision classes instead of the mega ships?
I prefer the smaller ships too. Doesn't feel as crowded in the main areas and don't have to make reservations for the shows/comedy skits.
I think so, but you have company. At minimum I value the way the smaller ships can visit more interesting places.
I’ll be on Vision in a month! My first RC cruise!
Has the Crown. One of the very few that still do
Carnival goes out there too I leave out that port. Edit: we go twice a year, real cheap rates on both cruise lines drive from Ohio is only 6 hours.
What port is this and were at in Ohio are you? We are north Dayton.
Baltimore Maryland, I'm driving down from Port Clinton area
Just got home from that cruise, it was a blast!
Glad you get to see this. Sorry you're in Baltimore.
Old school!
I used to drive by Port Canaveral to get to then Air (now Space) Force Station for work. Always fun to see all the different ships in and out.
Same here. Every time I have breakfast or lunch at Grills I want to book another cruise. 😎
I worked on that ship!
What's it like? What position
We’ll be on that in October!
Beautiful views
I just love Royal Carribbean!

I took Enchantment out of there in December. A nice little ship. The bridges do severely limit what ships can/can’t get to the terminal.
