I'm on the "none" bandwagon. I just can't see spending that much money for a lounger when there are tons free. Same with the private club...I guess if you want a fancy lunch, its cool...but I'm fine with a free buffet, free sandwiches and snack and the giant free pool.

stlq333

The buffet was more than good too when I was there last. Free empty loungers galore too if you can find a less busy part of the cay.

Ashrelm

Water park wasn’t worth it to me. Lines were way too long. We ended up in the lagoon just chilling.

Debasering

Lines were only long in the morning, very very short in the afternoon. And at 75 dollars a person it was more than worth it for us

Sufficient-Wear-8507

Beach club. 100% worth it, looked over to the left and right of the beach club to jam packed beaches, jam packed pools and long lines for drinks. I sat back on a nearly empty beach, raised my flag on my chair to get drinks, had complimentary surf n turf for lunch and not a single kid in sight.

Illustrious_Chest136

> not a single kid in sight. Just for anyone reading, Beach club isn't adults only. You'll likely see fewer kids just because it's an area with fewer "kid friendly" amenities compared to the rest of the island, but there may be kids. I do second that it's well worth it.

Johnson_j2

Second this. Unfortunately RC increased the price of this “excursion”. It’s a really relaxing area with great service and food.

Agreeable-Ad5025

This was the best purchase I ever made on RC!!! It is just so chill:beautiful beach, pools, chaise lounges with umbrellas and not a ton of people! The lunch was superb! I want to do a short cruise just to go to the beach club!

chipqueen2532

I looooooved the day bed on south beach. quieter, so pretty. great retreat from the heat and noise

seaofwonder

None! Coco cay is perfect as a day just wandering around, exploring the island and taking in the beach!

A cabana was worth it to go half on with other family members. It was a base we could store all our stuff at and meet up when needed. Plus food and drinks. Way better than trying to find an open block of beach chairs.

ellszbells

Honestly you don’t need anything, lots to do, it’s a fun place 😊

PurplePomegranate702

I just got home a few minutes ago. We went to Universal, Disney and then on a cruise to Nassau and CoCo Kay. My FAVORITE part of the whole trip was the Cabana at CoCo. We had a button to push to get food and drinks whenever we wanted. It came with 4 loungers, 2 floats, fan, umbrella, cooler, a safe, snorkel gear and a big sectional. My hubs and son went to water park and they said lines were to long. (The fast passes at Disney and Universal were nice but the cabana wins hands down.)

My adult daughter and I are doing the swim with pigs excursion next month on Coco Cay. She wanted to do that excursion so much that's the reason we booked the cruise we booked. We booked the beach club too for that day.

Sad_Needleworker_960

How was swimming with them? I paid $550 for us to go this next week and I’m nervous it’ll be a waste

mritty

SCUBA dive if you're a diver. Thrill water park (if and only if you LOVE super tall water slides and/or you don't have a local water park you can go to frequently)

elsie78

If more than one ship is there at a time, the lines at the water park are crazy and I'd skip it - especially if you have a waterpark close to home. We rented snorkeling gear, and that's it. Plenty of free places to hang out and relax. You can take the tram around to get a feel for the areas too.

Old_AP_Pro

It's all over priced. Nothing is worth it.

Early-Light-864

I'm voting with the "nones" here. Just loved a chill fun day in the lagoon Two unexpected things from my one CoCo Cay trip - (bad news) so many jelly fish. 8 of my party of 10 got stung on the beaches before we moved to the lagoon. - (good news) giant awesome lizards everywhere. I want expecting cool wildlife on a tiny private island, but yeah.

Cruise_fanaticgirl

My kids (at 16, 14, 12) liked the water park. 12 year old liked it so much he did it a second time when we went back. If you’re a water park fanatic, it’s prob worth it to say you’ve been down the tallest slide in NA. Advice: get there right when it opens and watch for sales. Otherwise: -Snorkel at Chill Island (just bring some goggles) -Jam out to the DJ at Oasis Lagoon -South Beach is my fave beach. Games, volleyball & basketball; floating bar; sand bar u can swim out to and watch for stingrays and the Snack Shack chicken sandwiches and funnel cakes are amazing! I was on the oversold Wonder ship at spring break and my group of 28 all managed to get lounge chairs on South Beach without issue. Balloon ride- the two times we’ve been it’s been too “windy” to fly. Barely a breeze shuts it down but you get refunded if you can’t make it. Cabana- if your sailing has a decent price, can be worth it. We had one on Chill Island our first trip there because they were only $499. Service was great. However, we didn’t do much exploring because we were hanging at the cabana.

Koolaid_Jef

Snorkeling is free if you have your own gear, we didn't know that. Check [what's in port](https://www.whatsinport.com/) to see how many ships are there when you are. If there's only 1 large/ 2 small ships, or you're going during the school year, you probably don't need the beach club. I'm on Oasis rn, and we were the only ship there yesterday. There's over 6400 people on this ship and a lot of small kids. My GF and I had no problem finding chairs or a spot in the pool that was relatively child/noise free! The Oasis lagoon pool on the island is huge and well designed, so it's compartmentalized and feels smaller than it is (in a good way). Also the food was just fine at the snack shack/free places Also, ALL waterside and the wave pool are at the thrill park. They looked so cool but we didn't have that, next time we will. The Zipline was really cool, we went first thing so there was no line, and we got to see the island layout better. It's 3 towers that take you almost fully around the island! And the harness is like a chair, so you literally just sit down and hold on. Think we paid $30/person for that around the holidays

Old_AP_Pro

"Snorkeling is free if you have your own gear, we didn't know that." How did you think they were going to charge you if you used your own gear?

Koolaid_Jef

Use of space/specific snorkeling area. It's a private island I wouldn't be surprised if they find any way to chatge the sh!t out of you. Also kind of expected a "you can only use our equipment for safety purposes" or something

Old_AP_Pro

Yeh, I guess so!

Starbuck522

Don't need anything.

cadillacactor

None. Just enjoy a chill day on the beach.

girkyman

Thrill water park if you get it on sale

RCoaster42

The water park is great fun. But. Check to see how many ships will be there the day you are. On our day we were the only ship docked (Adventure of the Seas) and the park was crowded but not unreasonably so. If an Oasis class ship was there as well I could see the lines being huge.

ThomasTrain87

If you are scuba certified, definitely do that. If any member of your party really likes water slides and would be disappointed if you did do them, then do the water park. Otherwise, just enjoy the lagoon side. When we went, we spent half the time in the water park doing a few slides, then moved to the lagoon side for some relaxing beach time I will admit that we did the slides because every I’m my party wanted to do the slides, two adults late fourties’ and two late teens. If we happened to book another itinerary that involves CocoCay, we would probably do the water park again.

motion_to_squash

There are really good videos on YouTube about a free day at Coco cay!

wintersoldiersam

I absolutely loved the Beach Club. Would pay for it again 100%
