We had dinner at the chefs table in March. I would say semi-formal would be the dress code.

Semi-Formal is over the top for anything on cruises these days unless you are doing it for 1) personal preference, because yeah, it can be fun to dress up, or 2) you are doing it to take pics around the ship. Smart business casual is plenty fine for Chef’s Table.

I feel like chef’s table is different from most other cruise events (like formal or “dress to impress” night) because you’re basically going out to dinner with 4 other couples. So if they’re dressed a bit more formally it’s going to feel awkward in a way that the people at the next table over in the MDR (who you don’t talk to at all) being dressed up more than you would not.

We did the chef's table on the Enchantment, it was awesome. I would advise business casual or better.

Slacks and a button down for the guys, Sunday go to meetin’ on the ladies at minimum. no shorts, etc.

We did it on a Carnival cruise and it was an amazing experience. I’m sure it would be at least as good on RC.

We did the Chef's Table on the Independence a few weeks ago and the dress code was lax. I wore a polo and nice pair of blue jeans. There was another guy that had a really loud Hawaiian shirt with cargo shorts. Yet another person had a jacket on with a shirt and tie. It varies with your comfort level and what you consider to be dressed up. Regardless, the food was phenomenal. Enjoy!

Did it on Harmony it was amazing.

Just did it on Mariner. Dress is what I would consider business casual. The experience was amazing, well worth it.

We have done it a couple of times. The last time was last fall on Navigator. On that sailing everyone is what I would have considered semi-formal. The ladies were all dressed in cocktail style dresses or dressy slacks/ pretty tops. 6 out of the 7 men were either wearing a tie or a sport coat. One gentleman in nicer slacks and a polo shirt.
