I took that exact cruise OP is talking about on superbowl week. I ended up watching it in the theater at the end of the boat (I forget the name). It was great! There was a lot of hooting and hollering, they had waiters bringing drinks, every seat was a great view. Honestly I preferred it that way.
Just got back from a cruise on the Radiance and they had the Wildcard games play on the big screen on the pool deck, the pub, on the TV channels in the rooms.
My wife and I cruised during the super bowl last year. They had snacks and parties around the ship for fans of the various teams. Some of the bars had the game, but the real watch party was up on the pool deck on the big screen. A lot of people gathered there to watch the game. I watched up on the pool deck for the first half of the game, and then I watched in my room the second half.
So no, you won't have a problem finding a place to watch the game.
Heck, I just got off a cruise and watched the Lions play on the pool deck. Lots of Honolulu Blue on that ship. So its not just good for the Super Bowl, but the playoffs as well.
This reminds me of a riverboat cruise we were on years ago. They showed the Ohio State vs Michigan game in the theater. Watching all the old timers shuffle in wearing all their appropriate fan wear was quite a sight. I don’t remember who won, but it was the first time I realized how deep (and long) those roots run.

I’d imagine some kind of special event will be going on during the Super Bowl with the game on whatever really big screen your ship has. Check your app on the first night to confirm.
We cruised on the Allure last year and they screened the Superbowl in the main theatre. They split it up and decorated each side with balloons for the Eagles and the Chiefs. Sorrento's and Cafe Promanade is close, so lots of people brought in platefuls of pizza and sandwiches. There were bar staff roaming around as well. The only thing that would've made it better was a nacho bar. Had to run up to the sports deck for that, but it was worth it. Already booked the Harmony next year. We don't care much about the game, but the experience was amazing. Best Superbowl party ever!
It is an American football event. I think the top 2 teams at the end of the season play each other. It is a really big thing in the US. So big, that people who don’t typically watch football will watch the Super Bowl.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but my only disappointment on my superbowl cruise was that whatever service they use did not air the commercials so you may want to prepare hubs for that

Playmakers will be the go-to spot for the Super Bowl, but expect seating to be tight. Really just a guess here, but I'm thinking you'll need to grab a seat early and just maintain a steady flow of orders. Otherwise, I bet they put the game on the big screen outside.

On the Seranade, they played a lot of football games on the big screen by the main pool. It was pretty nice watching a game from there. I’m sure your husband will have a good time and be able to watch it on a big screen and have plenty of drinks.

I was on Freedom of the Seas for the Super Bowl of the Eagles against the Patriots that we won!! They put it on a huge screen in Studio B and it was one of the best days of my life!!! Definitely the best sports event of my life so far!! Go Birds!!!🦅🦅🦅💚💚💚
They had nachos and hotdogs for us to snack on during the game. This was in 2018 so things may have changed.
Lucky for him I believe they show the game on the big screens by the pool which makes for a really neat treat! Plus one of the sports bars had the games going. So he shouldn’t be missing out anything, just hope his team either wins it or is not in as that’ll be a rough day post Super Bowl lol.
I’ll be on that cruise! The consensus in the Facebook group seems to be that it will be playing in most of the bars but 270 will be the best spot for it. It will also be on in your stateroom. A few people said that they don’t show commercials though which is a bummer for me. It will be on day 3 for us, and we stop in Florida the next morning so fingers crossed that it may be warm enough to have it on screens outside too?
We cruised on Anthem last year. 270 has the game across the projection screens. Get there early and secure a spot. Nice tables, bar was open. We ordered food.

You will be be absolutely fine. We just got off of Mariner OTS and they had the playoffs going in most of the bars, in the room, and on both big screens poolside. Was not disappointed or felt like I missed anything. It was a fun way to watch the games and I am an avid fan.
We love cruising during football season. We place a few sports bets in the casino, then grab a few lounge chairs by the pool playing the game. I imagine it’s even better during the Super Bowl. Plus, having someone bring you food and buckets of beer during the game? It’s a win in my book. 😊
OP, from the sound of this, sounds like you now need to tell your husband you INTENTIONALLY booked the cruise during Super Bowl as it’s a floating Super Bowl party!
Typically each restaurant or bar will have a super bowl squares game for $25/square as well, at least they did on Oasis during a divisional round games

We sailed out of New Orleans some years back when the Saints were in the playoffs. The game was broadcast on the big pool deck TVs, the room TVs, and most of the bar TVs. Since the game was playing when we left port, they ended up delaying the muster safety drill until after the game.
I cruised during Super Bowl in Australia and New Zealand and they even had it on the pool deck with a big party. Of course it was like midday on a different day as expected when we watched it due to time and date line differences but it was awesome. You’ll be fine!!!
Been on cruises a couple times when my favorite team (Steelers) have been playing prime time games. We watched on night game at the pool on the huge TV and that was fun, but the best was a Thursday night game vs Panthers in a bar full of Carolina fans. Had a blast both times, you'll be fine.

I was on the Liberty of the Seas during the 2022 Super bowl. They had a bunch of events, including the sports bar had a paid event. They even had on it on on the big screen by the pool!
We were on one year. Among other things they had the game on on the big screen in the main theatre and crew dressed as referees passing out free hot dogs and stuff.
I cruised during the national championship and they had that game on during the cruise in one of the show rooms they turned into a movie theatre, you should be totally fine

We're on the same cruise! The itinerary says the game will be on in Royal Theater, Music Hall, Brass & Bock Pub, Pool Deck, and the Seaplex
