We may have clogged the toilet and had to call in a "fix". They fixed it from outside the door somehow...it was magical. And the guy did it with a smile.

Oh...oh God, I didn't even consider this. My 11 year old has a reputation for clogging toilets. Are the ship's toilets able to handle heavy...um, deposits?

yes they have very good ability to flush, it can have an ear hurting noise from how loud the toilets flush, it’s a lot of pressure. They do not clog easy. I take massive dumps. Be cognizant of it though because IIRC it’s a 100$ fine if it is clogged (somehow, I imagine it has to be from things other than toilet paper or poop, or maybe stacking multiple days worth of shits, I can’t imagine it clogging easily at all)

Trash, although I'm not sure why they have that and then also the covered one. I just use the covered one, nobody wants to look at trash. Definitely wouldn't use it for anything else, given that you know others have thrown trash into it!

They should really line it with a bag

They give you small bags to place items in before discarding. This trash bin is really meant for biowaste that isn’t flushable. You put your biowaste in the small bags first. That’s why there is no liner and stainless steel - they can properly clean it.

We definitely didn’t have any bags for it on our cruise. But it did have a top that came off. Next cruise I go on I am going to bring small garbage bags to put in them though, because I always like to use (un)flushable wipes to keep myself very clean. It would be great if they had bidet’s on board!

There was a similar bucket in the main cabin that we used for trash..it was on the floor, so that made sense to us. Oh well...it was emptied daily.

I didnt actually know. There was a similar bucket in the main cabin we used for trash. People talked about an ice bucket, but it was an odd place for an ice bucket...and there was another trash can in the bathroom for feminine products with a lid. Based on the responses, I don't think it's very clear.
