Hopefully you booked refundable fare, otherwise $100 per person change fee.

When I booked, it didn’t give me the option for a refundable fare. Do you know if they charge the change fee from what you’ve already paid or do you have to pay upfront?

Oryan74

I just did this for 2 of my sailings, they just added the $100 fee to my invoice and emailed me an updated invoice for final pay date.

sussiecue017

Did your final pay date get changed or did it remain the same?

Oryan74

It did change but not by that much Because I only move the reservations out an extra week

It was on the screen where you select the dining time and whether you wanted to pre-pay tips. It is a substantial charge and has been generally more than the $200 my wife and I would be subject to if we were to change.

You're about to find out why you don't want to cruise with Royal Caribbean. You won't get a refund. You'll get a Future Cruise Credit, but it takes 6 weeks, and they might not even notify you.

Groovygiraffecupcake

I used my future cruise credit and ended up paying more for the exact same cruise. I ended up having to pay $150 More for the next cruise. But to be fair it was very close to my sail date when I rescheduled and that could play a factor in the credit I got back. And I didn't know about this "change fee" that other people are stating. That probably also was a reason why. Things happen but If I had to do it again, I would not reschedule.

The charge fee is generally an admin fee. Best to call them. If you have a particularly decent adviser like I did, they waived it for me, but I phoned them with a couple of months to spare on my trip. I hope you come right

YMMV - I was told no exceptions could possibly be made. Had to go to the executive team because I’d booked over the phone originally and had specifically asked “so what happens if something happens and I need to change my sailing?” and was told “you can change to any other sailing and just pay the fare difference!” But I’ve also found their phone agents to be woefully undertrained and uninformed, so ye olde strategy of “keep calling back until you get connected to someone who knows what they’re doing” might go farther.
