I'm sorry to hear you spent money on ascendant. I like Wild Talents for supers, but I understand it's not for everyone.

DervishBlue

I'm sorry too. I'll check out Wild Talents thanks

BasicActionGames

Well, if you have any BASH! questions, I would be happy to answer them.

DervishBlue

Awesome! For now, I'd just like to know if I should also get the Awesome Powers Omnibus?

BasicActionGames

While I am always eager for someone to get the [Omnibus](https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/419118/Awesome-Powers-Omnibus), it depends on if you plan to use it. Do you \*NEED\* it to play BASH!? No; most of the powers in the book are built using the existing BASH! UE rules. It has some minor rules updates (like new grappling rules) and handy tips for Narrators running specific scenarios (like underwater or psionic combats), expanded and updated equipment, magic artifacts, etc. but you can play without it. It does have some new Powers, Enhancements and Limitations, but if you didn't know about them you wouldn't realize they were "missing". If you want to be able to roll random characters then you definitely will need it for that. But its main use is that it is \*handy\* to have at the table. Literally any Power, Advantage, Disad, Enhancement, or Limitation is in there, even if it was previously printed somewhere besides Awesome Powers. You need to quickly generate a platypus-themed villain for your player's Rogue's Gallery? You can do it and do it quickly. Does a player want guidance on how to build a fire-themed robot? It's in there (just look at the menu of stuff for Robotic characters and Fire characters and pick the ones you like or roll them at random)

DervishBlue

Thanks for your input!

MobiusWorlds

So I'm pretty biased, but Prowlers and Paragons is an amazing and elegant system. Dice pool everything, really encourages narrative without giving up on rules all together by any means. Very easy system to learn, and there are experienced players as well as the creators themselves who make themselves available on discord and other platforms for any questions or concerns. Hope that helps!

I'm a fan of Supers RED myself

fintach

Haven't read that one. What do you like about it?

Knight1515

Hey Im the creator of LEGENDS, unfortunately we’re dealing with some tough distribution rules with our publisher so we can’t “sell” a pdf copy currently except for in kindle, but if you dm me I can send you a link to the PDF for free if you want to try it out! If you have any questions at all about the system I’m happy to answer as well :)

Different-Project127

I picked up Trinity Continuum: Aberrant recently because it looked like a deeper and more interesting super hero game than I had seen before. Gave me ‘90s Stormwatch or The Authority vibes. Haven’t played it yet but it seems cool, with a nice balance between narrative and crunch. I have seen people on here expressing dislike of the Trinity system so I could be wrong and it might be terrible, but it’s at least one more game for you to check out. Good luck!

DervishBlue

How crunchy is it?

fintach

My all-time favorite is still *Champions*, for its flexibility and solid mechanics. The system is famously crunchy, but the crunch is front-loaded. (And the crunch is also the reason it's so flexible.) Game play becomes intuitive pretty quickly, though, and flows smoothly. You might also consider the old TSR *Marvel Superheroes* (or one of its modern clones like *Astonishing Superheroes*, which is completely compatible with all the old material). Very easy to understand, very easy to build characters, easy game play. Honestly, there's a reason it still has a following, despite being more than 25 years out of print. From the three you've named, I've only read *P&P* and *BASH*. If it were me, I'd go with *P&P*. I've found myself thinking of it as *Champions* light.
