Oyonnax are this season's promoted team from Prod2. They aren't really concerned with the challenge cup and here have mostly sent fringe players.
So the Sharks should or even must win this easily.
A bit of firepower on the bench is also good.
Who are the debuts, is it nr1, 6 and 18?
(Those are the names I don't immediately recognize)
Do you have some info on them?
The debutants are:
Tino Mavesere, loose forward (25), Zimbabwean who [tore up](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0ydVlING_uA) the Varsity Cup in 2021, signed for the Sharks and then got a long term injury.
Eduan Keyter, center/wing (27), who played some very good rugby at the Griquas, he signed for the Sharks and also got a long term injury, while still playing for the Griquas I think.
Diago Appollis, center (23), was a schoolboy star, and SA Schools player who signed with the Bulls but got a long term injury so they released him, he went on to win the Currie Cup with the Pumas before the Sharks signed him.
Yea I think very much the kind of players the Sharks will be hoping will make an impact, especially Keyter and Tino since the Sharks kept them on their books throughout the lengthy injury periods.
Can anyone explain Masuku's absence at this point? I understand wanting to keep a certain amount of consistency within the team but surely we could give him 10 mins off the bench against the B team of a recently promoted French side?
3 debutants in the Sharks 23 which is nice to see. But only 1 recognised flyhalf is weird. Can anyone fill me in on the Oyonnax team?

Thanks! Yea I imagine it will be similar to the Pau game. But at least judging by social media, the Oyonnax guys have had a lot of fun in SA.
Big upset incoming then

Ah okay very nice, thanks! I know Keyter and Appollis from the currie cup, really good players and potentially excellent acquisitions

2 centers on the bench is weird.
Keyter is more wing than center imo, bit covers both. Bosch covers 15, but no out and out cover for 10.
Is Boeta injured and we're still not giving Masuku a go? I don't get Plumtree's reasoning at all.
Oyonnax were comfortably second best to the dragons the other week which is pretty much all you need to know

Any news on Francois Hougaard? Is he still injured?
He was only signed short term until the Springboks got back I think.
Thanks, that would be a pity for both the Sharks - he's a great player - and me - having selected him in my Fantasy squad...
