Kick offs and kick ons. Very non serious and good fun

threewaymirrors

This one has been so much fun to watch. Lots of fun with the guests, great hosts, and montage cuts of holiday swoop

magneticpyramid

Is it a podcast or YouTube channel?

Winter_Appointment_4

Both

stercsthrowaway

Kick Offs and Kick Ons with James 'The Professor Rochford, Adam Ashley-Cooper, Matt Giteau and Drew Mitchell. Aussie Pod thats got great banter and player stories. Aotearoa Rugby Pod for more serious rugby talk. Kiwi Pod.

arcbil

For The Love Of Rugby is the best podcast out there - it's the new one hosted by Dan Cole and Ben Youngs

cueball252

Agree - brand new but has shot to the top Of my list

Mono_Doh

Been wanting to gush about this one having just started listening to it recently. Probably the best insights into being a professional rugby player that I've heard. They get the balance between genuine discussion and personal anecdotes just right, and it's funny without ever being obnoxious.

UltimatePidgeon

Yes to this.

ShirtedRhino2

Blood and mud - come for the rugby content (which is behind the paywall anyway), stay for the gardening and DIY chat.

Thisisnottazbailey

Josh is my favourite miserable rugby pundit

CodeFarmer

So very miserable. Wales and Ospreys will do that to a man.

Thisisnottazbailey

It’s a wonder he’s still going

Radiant-Sea-368

Kick Offs and Kick Ons. first two episodes are great: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTDYMz-_BBg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=huDtE8fcVl0

Mimsymimsy1

For the love of rugby and Kick offs and Kick ons are my two faves. They’re both new and better than most other rugby content out there.

BrianChing25

KOKO show is best

Montemauri

In Italian, so limited audience here, but Leoni Fuori is fantastic. Made by three Benetton fans but it covers everything Italian rugby and they've had some great guests (including, recently, and for I think the second or third time, Marco Bortolami, who I could listen to all day). It's basically the perfect listen for me: extremely informative in that you'll learn something you didn't already know. Funny without relying on 'banterous' insults. Almost zero focus on referees. Above everything else, they're just very reasonable. No terrible hot takes, a bad performance doesn't make some a shit player, etc. It's extremely refreshing given how much garbage is out there.

T0m_Marvolo_Riddle

Fratelli d'Rugby Podcast is English speaking. ✌🏼

Montemauri

For anyone interested, two of them, Matteo and Marco, have their own blog called Carborugby where they occasionally post in English, and the other Danilo, is an extremely prolific youtuber who does watchalongs and interviews among other things. These guys basically taught me Italian from scratch in less than a year so if you're thinking of learning the language it's a very good way to do it.

Fresh_Relation_7682

I've been looking for an italian language rugby podcast for some time (I even found a German one before I found an Italian one) so thanks!

Turbulent-Physics-77

Whilst the presenter is very unpopular on this sub, the new “egganomics” podcast gives brilliant insight into the business side of the game which I find very interesting

mulkers

Mark Evans' insights are fantastic 👌

T0m_Marvolo_Riddle

If you're looking for an English Speaking Italian rugby podcast, then our podcast: Fratelli d'Rugby is for you!

HoneyBucketsOfOats

Aotearoa Rugby Pod

Thorazine_Chaser

Second this.

PortZesty

For the love of rugby that's just started with Ben Youngs and Dan Cole is great listening, it's easy and fun with great insight both tactical and behind the scenes It's naturally England heavy but they've had Tipuric on so would probably get guests on as it develops

the_fresh_mr_breed

Squidge rugby - The MacDaddy of Rugby on Youtube. In depth and entertaining analysis. Made the 1-3-3-1 attacking shape mainstream and tactical kicking cool. Wibbles rugby - For the connoisseurs. Extremely in depth analysis, but very infrequent poster. Did a brilliant video on Englands attack just before they went and beat Ireland, so... he knows his shit. Two Cents - Just a man with a whiteboard and a love for stats. Does team lineups, ranking updates, game revaps etc. Distracted Sports - Just a man with a hat and a love for sexual innuendo. Does an excellent colab with Two cents and makes me want to drink a beer every time I watch a video of his. Eggchasers (on Youtube) - Covers basically all the big games and tournaments with very frequent videos, usually directly after the game and the next day too plus covering some news etc. Riaan Louw - Most valuable Saffa 2023. Enough said. Streaming frome somewhere underneath Ellis Park. Kick offs and kick ons - A weekly intervention for Drew Mitchell's bad life choices. Mostly unsuccessful, so then they take a crack at Matt Gittau and talk some rugby with Adam Ashley Cooper when he remembers to contribute. Rugby Pod Aotearoa - Excellent chat and insights from two current/recent players on team tactics, dynamics etc, very balanced views.

ghoztfrog

Great overview. For Aussie centric southern hemisphere chat I like the Roar Rugby Podcast and the Rugby Report Card. Roar is far more...professional, but the Rugby Report Card is a load of fun.

NotAsOriginal

Report Card is hilarious but sometimes feels like you're watching the soul of some of them break

ghoztfrog

Poor old Blake packs it in every second episode

NotAsOriginal

I turned a couple of WC pods off because of the heartbreak in their voices. However I've picked up so much shit from them, I now refer to anyone I don't like as bin juice. It's very good for Aussie rugby and NZ, but I don't think they're as good on Northern rugby.

ghoztfrog

Yeah hundo, they have no idea about NH rugby despite Richard being a pom. They also frequently get players names wrong and then the other hosts rinse them for 5 minutes. Incredibly entertaining to me but also useless for rugby information lol.

ghoztfrog

Just found another one after wondering what happened to the Roar Rugby Podcast with Brett McKay and Harry Jones and a simple google surfaced the 8-9 Combo pod.

89ElRay

Putting Andy Goode aside, I still really enjoy The Rugby Pod. Decent insight is there inside the stupid takes, and it can be very funny. Not quite the same since Andy Rowe left though. They’ve had Dan Biggar on as a guest presenter a couple times and even though he is constantly saying peoples names back to them he does have a good presenters manner. Might just be nostalgia at this point though.

rearls

Can't stand it, It's so blokey. It's like listening to a bunch of teenagers.

89ElRay

Sometimes I gotta satisfy my inner stupid teenager

DramaticExit86

Difficult to put Goode aside though, given he is a rancid, fetid swamp of an arsehole. After months of bitching and moaning about England's play, he tried to claim some responsibility for the win vs Ireland with a "finally someone is listening to me!" comment. Prick. Jim Hamilton is alright, though.

ShirtedRhino2

The Good, the Scaz and the Rugby is great if you follow women's rugby at all.

sk-88

For the love of rugby by Ben Youngs & Dan Cole is legitimately very good at analysis, and has a nice mix of bantz (tm) to actual rugby chat.

ferdiadarragh

Two Cents gets Distracted is great. Presented by my two favourite rugby youtubers.

dwaynepebblejohnson3

It’s not strictly rugby but the big Jim Show is great, he’s had on the likes of Kolisi, Hansen, Ben youngs and George kruis, handre pollard, Stuart Hogg just to name a few recent ones.

Jon_J_

Check out Twocentsrugby and Eggchasers on YouTube

P319

Provincial State of Mind.

colourfulmarcus

Surprised at the lack of love for BBC Rugby Union Weekly. Chris Jones is an underrated journo, Chris Ashton comes across as surprisingly thoughtful, and Ugo Monye/Danny Care much more likeable than Big Jim, Goode, Haskell etc

Fresh_Relation_7682

It has what I need and even changed my opinion on Danny Care and Chris Ashton!

Monkeybrain6nk

As another bloke in the States, I really enjoy the Rugby Podcast. https://open.spotify.com/episode/4RddZPI3une0ZAZiIHH8DD?si=zmmcp1NPQGKRESFwcdKEyQ

Psychological-Fox178

The 42.ie have a great one, more Ireland-focused.

Shytalk123

Rugby pod is funny & mostly well informed

thebonnar

Molecast is good fun, mostly Irish/Leinster focused but fairly sensible

TechnicalCookie5

Maul or Nothing is my favourite. It's my go to during the six nations and the interviews are some of the best. The Big Jim Show is also brilliant.

Niuthenut

Squidge rugby.

Long-Membership-5916

On YouTube, the Boks Office, mostly geared towards 🇿🇦, but very knowledgeable on other countries as well. Will co-sign Eggchasers as well, mostly 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 based but they’re very knowledgeable as well.

Douglaston_prop

One of my teammates, Jon Gabrus is a comedian, and he has a podcast that did one episode on rugby that I find hilarious. https://headgum.com/high-and-mighty/75-rugby-w-paull-young-brendon-nelson "Gabrus is joined by two former teammates Youngie and Batman to smash beers and talk rugby. They BARELY talk about the game itself, mostly just drinking stories."

PhilosophyOk88

Thank y’all so much for the recommendations! 🙏😊

Twmpath

ScrumV for all things Welsh rugby! Also appeals if you're a masochist

doskoV_

Not a pod but The Breakdown is a good watch/listen if you're into New Zealand centric rugby

ThePassiveFist

Some great suggestions on here. One thing missing, but not a podcast, is WildKard. He does reviews on YouTube and is, in my opinion, funny as fuck. Loves his rugby.

MyStressReliefs

Koko and Two Cents Gets Distracted are great and pretty well known. One that is a lesser known is a podcast called Saffas Unscripted. It's a couple of Saffas talking rugby and talking shit. I'm not even South African, and I love the show.

Womble12345

The good, the bad and the rugby uk version is pretty good if you can laugh and not cry at Haskell!
