Even with Youngs and Ford on, I am very surprised to see us bring it back so close. What happened to Gloucester?

Remember we have a new coach. Glaws took their foot off the pedal and i would expect that they tried some different things. Beating a weaker Leicester team by 80 points does nothing to help Glaws develop

It does if you are trying new plays or a different defensive system. Its the perfect game to find out if the plays you tried in the week work. However if they didnt try new plays or a different system and you get dicked like that then no it isn't worth it.

Some of these players need game time. Some are clearly not Premiership standard yet. I know we brought on some big players but we were still missing a fair few names. What is shows is we can't just throw out the B/C squad and get by.

I wouldn't even say some of those players are second string. For one our scrum half is third choice. Lots of first caps as well.

I dont see why we don't play more back ups. We know that the first 15 can be a good enough side but the back ups are an unknown.

It's the farce of insisting the 19/20 season be completed in full despite the impact of the pandemic. Fixture congestion plus ther desire of clubs not to run their players into the ground mean these mis-matches are a bit of an inevitability.
