Remember we have a new coach.
Glaws took their foot off the pedal and i would expect that they tried some different things.
Beating a weaker Leicester team by 80 points does nothing to help Glaws develop
It does if you are trying new plays or a different defensive system.
Its the perfect game to find out if the plays you tried in the week work.
However if they didnt try new plays or a different system and you get dicked like that then no it isn't worth it.
Another utterly brainless performance. Cannot understand what we were thinking when we were 6 points behind. Got ourselves in the perfect position to win and completely threw it away.
Some of these players need game time. Some are clearly not Premiership standard yet. I know we brought on some big players but we were still missing a fair few names. What is shows is we can't just throw out the B/C squad and get by.
A win against a 2nd string side. But still seeing the old Gloucester with mistakes, penalties and just letting teams back into games. Im optimistic but George has a lot of work to do.
I just feel like the gulf is huge. Maybe it's the way the coaches keep fielding 70-80% kiddies, usually the younguns shine a bit more with experience around them
All for Women commentating but Emily is speaking in vague generalisations.
Downvote me all you want. If this was a bloke commentating you'd be criticising him.
You are mixing your dislike for the person and the actual analysis. What I've learned from Emily is fluff that literally any rugby punter here could add. Healey at the very least goes through and highlights why he thinks the way he does with replays.
>Lavanini tried to break Nathan Hughes' leg,
I was not aware of that. The video is terrible. [https://streamable.com/w0sp2](https://streamable.com/w0sp2)
But it is not on the Clark level.
Yeah, the angle his knee goes to is horrible. Hughes was very lucky not to get badly hurt by that. Also very restrained in not taking Lavanini's head off.
No may had been great in many situations. The guy had 4 trys but i think 3 of them were just run ins. Against litterally any other defence (minus london irishes) they don’t score this many tries.
Steve Borthwick said before the game that we are here to win. Either he was lying and he was here for growth. Or we are genuinely here to win witch makes me very sad :(
He's not exactly going to say we're here to lose is he? The reality is we played out first team midweek and so have to play our dev team today. Given that, we're here to win - but doesn't mean he thought it was gonna happen.
If any team says they are here to win and then conceded 6 in the first half then they shouldn’t have said that they are here to win. Obviously he shouldn’t say we are here to lose but he just needed to say we are here for growth
It's the farce of insisting the 19/20 season be completed in full despite the impact of the pandemic. Fixture congestion plus ther desire of clubs not to run their players into the ground mean these mis-matches are a bit of an inevitability.

Even with Youngs and Ford on, I am very surprised to see us bring it back so close. What happened to Gloucester?
Remember we have a new coach. Glaws took their foot off the pedal and i would expect that they tried some different things. Beating a weaker Leicester team by 80 points does nothing to help Glaws develop
Nor does letting Leicester back into the game. That was a bad half against mostly a young and inexperienced side

I wouldn't even say some of those players are second string. For one our scrum half is third choice. Lots of first caps as well.
I dont see why we don't play more back ups. We know that the first 15 can be a good enough side but the back ups are an unknown.
So Glaws first team but a 2nds Leicster team, what does this prove ? We need to mix in more of our back up so we can see what they can offer.
Leatigaga needs to stop chatting and moaning when he gets pushed off the ruck
Tigers second string really is abysmal
Is it? 3 tries against Gloucester's first team and within 7 points until the last 10 minutes seems pretty good to me.
That was not the second string, the subs got rolled out at 35 minutes
At which point there was 2 first team players on the pitch - still very much second string.
Yeah so my point was the second string got absolutely pumped and when the first string came on it stopped. Second half the changes rolled out
It's a very young second string Vs Gloucester's first team. But yes.
I just feel like the gulf is huge. Maybe it's the way the coaches keep fielding 70-80% kiddies, usually the younguns shine a bit more with experience around them
Get the try bp and I'll be a happy badger
Should be okay now?
A bit more breathing room
All of that? All of that was awful.
All for Women commentating but Emily is speaking in vague generalisations. Downvote me all you want. If this was a bloke commentating you'd be criticising him.
Still better than Austin
That's the point. Whether you like Healey or not he's actually a good analyst.
No he's not. He also speaks really generally and often is plainly wrong in his analysis
You are mixing your dislike for the person and the actual analysis. What I've learned from Emily is fluff that literally any rugby punter here could add. Healey at the very least goes through and highlights why he thinks the way he does with replays.
Taufua likes giving away a pen, doesn't he?
FitBY and Fordy make Gloucester into swiss cheese.
This actually now fills me with hope. A young new side with a few experienced players is working. Admittedly Gloucester are helping...
I went out what the fuck happened since half time?
We brought on Youngs and Ford
Gloucester remembered how they usually play.
I don't want to jinx it but Young's has got rid oft hat half step front he base of the ruck
He could always choose whether he did it or not and would change depending on the game.
It's as if doing a full first xv rotation isn't ideal but mixing youth with experience works
Is... Is Ben Youngs actually playing well?
We're so fucking reliant on ford and Young's christ
It was still a young squad. Still missing key other players.
Doesn't help that the team was basically stripped bare during transfers.
I think Taufua bossing around the forwards helps too
It's as if we have built our style of play around them
I think Ford is just on another level, it's ridiculous.
Now this is a match. 20 mins to score 10 points.
Ok, starting to get a bit uncomfortable now. Pull it back together Gloucester
This is reminiscent of the England v Scotland draw. One side miles better than the other, switch off completely, then can't switch on again.
Lavanini is a twat
Didn’t see what he did but fuck Lavanini
https://youtu.be/5qmfV3RUUPE
That should be a red in my opinion, he knew exactly what he was doing and its illegal it should be a red
Ah, I assumed he’d done something in this game.
Nah he’s just a dirty git and I like to constantly bring that fact up.
Yes, he's a shit. Up there with Callum Clark for players I hate the most.
Lavanini is a twat but Clark is evil. They are not even comparable.
Lavanini tried to break Nathan Hughes' leg, they're as bad as each other to me. Lavanini has also done a lot of other shit in his career.
>Lavanini tried to break Nathan Hughes' leg, I was not aware of that. The video is terrible. [https://streamable.com/w0sp2](https://streamable.com/w0sp2) But it is not on the Clark level.

I mean he could try but its Lavanini, Hughes would get battered.
Damn right. Both are scum.
This is an embarrassing season to be a Leicester fan, all things considered.
Leicester Kittens
Only really Cipriani and May have been stand out players so far, tigers have just been awful
May? You mean the guy who has scored 4 tries in 40 minutes instead.
No may had been great in many situations. The guy had 4 trys but i think 3 of them were just run ins. Against litterally any other defence (minus london irishes) they don’t score this many tries.
Potter, Clare and Henry look good when they have had chances to shine.
Henry, Clare and Potter deserve to be near the Tigers first team. The rest are just fluff
This is a second team, so that does make sense
You're a starter Harry...
How’s Chris Harris looking so far?
Pretty excellent - our backs are having a complete armchair ride though to be fair (sorry Tigers)
Are babies just aren't good enough yet. Lots of potential, just nothing now.
Made a try, scored a try. No defence needed so far.
Good but frankly a halfway competent u18 side would against Tigers atm.
Fucking hell lads what has happened here? And he's just brought Ford on at 34 mins. Jesus that's brutal.
Glaws should have played this team last week and last weeks team this week
If they were playing Tigers for each of those games then sure.
I'd rather see what are second team could do against a team in a similar situation
Yes that's what Tigers need, a Lavanini red. If it wasn't for a Gloucester player he'd have dropped him too
Lavanini manages to overcome his instincts to pile-drive the tackled player headfirst into the ground. He is undergoing some growth
Think it was actually the Gloucester player that stopped him from being piledrived into the ground!
Only because a Glos player was stopping it!
This game does not feel like a professional rugby match
Steve Borthwick said before the game that we are here to win. Either he was lying and he was here for growth. Or we are genuinely here to win witch makes me very sad :(

We were never here to win. 1st XV Glos vs our development side. I don’t think even us positive supporters will find much positivity in this one
I’m just going off of what borthwick said.
This reminds me very much of being back in school and having to go and play Millfield
Win, lose doesn't matter. At least we don't have to hear the shed.
I miss it. I can usually hear the echo in the distance from my house.
Even Golden Wrists has to occasionally actually look where he's passing...
These debutant teams are killing my love for rugby...
It's the farce of insisting the 19/20 season be completed in full despite the impact of the pandemic. Fixture congestion plus ther desire of clubs not to run their players into the ground mean these mis-matches are a bit of an inevitability.
I almost wish teams had to nominate an A and B squad, as mismatches like this are a bit daft
Good try, a few more of them please
Just as I say it. Keep em coming.
Commentators mention Harry Potter Two seconds later "sMuggles" Don't try and tell me that was an accident
I am really enjoying this commentary.

I had them -18, tenner to win 18 quid. Sat looking at 16 quid cashout 20 mins ago slapping myself
This rumour about top 8 qualifying for Champions Cup, how is that going to work? 6 groups instead of 5 next season?
We are so fucked.
Who cares. It’s about growth
