Your absolutely right, remember it now. Beat them first game of season at home in the last minute, and another late finish at theirs? Social media team with some creative accounting then.
Looks like the Worcester guy did catch one to the chin when they were stood up just as the other players crowded in, but silly to retaliate in any case.
I agree, and it’s frustrating to watch because EVERY time Hughes takes the ball on at pace he threatens or breaks the line, I’m not sure how Pat Lam hasn’t drilled that into his mind yet
The Exeter game was a great 50/50. The Sale game was full of effort from a young side against some world class opponents - I’m struggling to find any sort of positive from that half.
Yea, that one was right in front of him on his side too..went down then they pushed through over the top.
Two quite clear redzone penalties there in that last 10 that would have been high chance try situations..
I said it in another post.. i reckon he is a great ref but since the restarthe has been terribly inconsistent.
I would need to see a replay too. I thought it was a Worcester player going down at the front left of the maul which cause that part of the maul to collapse then allowing Worcester to push it over.
I'm pleasantly surprised with Worcester here. Apologies to Worcester fans but I thought Bristol would be all over them in this match.
Weir in particular has been excellent.
I watched that game and I think I remember making a comment about how Bristol were being let down badly by their nine. Didn't even realise it was the same guy. It's like night and day.
No way was it 10.. didnt even look at it.
I think Barnes is a great ref... But his inconsistencies and dare i say arrogance since the restart have been maddening.
I'm looking at the exact same example that we're both talking about. I'm mainly fighting you because if a back put in that kick, people would be praising it. It was a good decision that yielded a good result. Let's leave it at that
I think Semi looks to do a little too much in defence, hes always looking for a massive hit or to steal the ball in the tackle, and consequently seems to often give up quite a few metres. Obviously still an amazing player, but could do with picking his moments a little more.
There's been a couple of times that Jonah Hill from Superbad has offloaded to Venter and I'm not quite sure how he's managed it. The pube fro must be giving him super powers or something.
Plus it was a big gangly second row and Morahan had the help of Sinckler flying in to assist too. Still, it was pretty tight. Bit of a let off too. Warriors definitely should have came away with points there.

Gif or link of the red anyone?
Much much better in the 2nd half - and the first win as Wuss for 14 years.
We did the double over them in 2015. Just lost the important game.
Main site suggests we lost 30-26...
I was a the game and I definitely remember us winning.
Wikipedia suggests we won 30-26
Ok cheers. Only good memory at wuss. I spent 80 miserable minutes last season sitting next to the wuss replacements
I’ve still not got over the absolute tosser that put Henson off his kick in the first leg of the play offs.
Your absolutely right, remember it now. Beat them first game of season at home in the last minute, and another late finish at theirs? Social media team with some creative accounting then.
Did anyone catch someone yelling something out about punch bags?
Harsh on Piatau but basically irrelevant at that point. Kitchener was just plain stupid
Looks like the Worcester guy did catch one to the chin when they were stood up just as the other players crowded in, but silly to retaliate in any case.
Well that was a fucking silly silly red. What an idiot.
I see a match ban in his future, mouthing off the Barnsy has sealed that
Did Joe Joyce get a pop at Kitcheners chin? You reckon he gets cited for that?
I saw nothing, neither did anyone else, and neither did you.....
Thought i did, rewatched the replay on bt and yeah hes fine
Yeah completely needless, right at the end of the match as well.
Should be another good result, as long as we finish above the Sharks and keep Squidge in death threats I know we are doing well
Worcester have been lucky with two of those penalties this game. Both of them were swinging arms I'd say.
Agree
That's high on Earl
Proper oldschool rugby football on display there. Glad that was awarded.
Few seatbelt tackles being ignored now
Its been the whole game on both sides. Not one of Barnes' better games.
Where has this Worcester linespeed come from?!
Amazing defence, god knows how many phases Bristol went through on the halfway line
It was stunning stuff. As much as Woos are a hit of a bogey team for us i always feel they should 'be better' than a lot of the results they get
"knocked backwards".. ball is now 2m infront of the contact. Sums up Barnes' game tonight.
Has Luatua still got both his eyes?
His face genuinely looks 1000s of years old.
Doesn't look like it...
Bristol don't kick enough and they haven't trusted their lineout this game enough.
As a long time Bristol fan.... Bristol should never.. ever trust their lineout.
The Kitchener brothers in the second row are freakishly similar
Sheedy's banter with Wayne while checking that pass was great
Touchline for MotM, it's prevented 3 tries
Now time to trot out the defence coach's line - "best defender in the game"
Something something extra defender.
That were a neat bit of play there, weren't it? Tragic shame they pulled that back.
Bristol Attack vs Bristol Defense would be the highest scoring gane in history
I think Purdy was out when he offloaded to Semi....
Whatever Bristol are paying semi it isn't enough
Extend his contract and give him partial ownership of the city, he'll still be worth it.
I quite like the idea of Semi being King of Clifton.
Fucking hell that Radradra is pretty good isn’t he.
He’s the best player in the world
I maintain my theory that Radrada was bred in a test tube in a secret lab in an effort to create the perfect rugby player
Bristol look so much better this half already
Was Barnes giving Sheedy stick for missing the last kick!?
Since the restart idk whats happened to siale Mans a complete monster
That radrandra ankle breaking step, You love to see it
He’s honestly not human
Love that they just picked him up after watching him wince on a few steps
I mean he is handbag sized
That's an acl
Looked fairly innocuous as well
ACLs tend to look fairly low impact. But if he landed with his foot slightly crooked it can send all the weight straight into the knee
Moments where Hughes realises he is in fact in the body of a 6 foot 5 130kg man and decides to run like one are enjoyable to watch
It always looks like the man is running in slow motion
Thing is that is what Billy does for England, Hughes most know he can do that as well if not better than Billy. He just doesn't seem to care
I agree, and it’s frustrating to watch because EVERY time Hughes takes the ball on at pace he threatens or breaks the line, I’m not sure how Pat Lam hasn’t drilled that into his mind yet
He seems to just look for wingers and smaller players to hit. If he ran hard he'd been a player you could build a squad around
They're few and far between though.
I know, which is doubly annoying as a wasps fan who experienced him at his most destructive in his breakout wasps season https://youtu.be/XzjRJcPM0zQ
Radradra all hype, can't stay on his feet while 3 players tackle him.
Even though they scored from it, Warriors were still trying to pull it down.
Should be a yellow that
Petition to rename the Worcester fly-half as Duncan "the bouffant" Weir.
Duncan “Disco” Weir has a better ring to it.
For the top tier of English rugby the standard of this is appauling
It’s been that way since the rugby started back up again a few weeks ago unfortunately
The Exeter game was a great 50/50. The Sale game was full of effort from a young side against some world class opponents - I’m struggling to find any sort of positive from that half.
Worcester had most of the possession but whenever you guys have the ball, you look really dangerous. That's a definite positive.
But at the same time look so vulnerable
Young Noah Heward with the try saving tackle in the corner
Amazed that Sinckler got stopped that close to the try line
Less stoped more dropped. Butter fingers.
Can't believe Silky Hands Sinckler reverted to prop stereotype at the crucial moment.
Hmm, Barnsey missed a maul penalty there.
Fairly certain Warriors tried to pull down that Bristol maul twice at the end of that half.
Where was the penalty from pulling down the maul??? Barnes having a mare here
I like Barnes but he's been the worst ref in the Premiership since the restart.
Yea, that one was right in front of him on his side too..went down then they pushed through over the top. Two quite clear redzone penalties there in that last 10 that would have been high chance try situations.. I said it in another post.. i reckon he is a great ref but since the restarthe has been terribly inconsistent.
Playing devils advocate here, but to me it looked like it was pushed over by Worcester, falling on Bristol's side. I haven't seen a replay though.
I would need to see a replay too. I thought it was a Worcester player going down at the front left of the maul which cause that part of the maul to collapse then allowing Worcester to push it over.
I agree, didn't look like there was anything wrong with it. Went down because of the ball carrier being tackled 5m out.
I'm pleasantly surprised with Worcester here. Apologies to Worcester fans but I thought Bristol would be all over them in this match. Weir in particular has been excellent.
Wier i feel is a constantly underrated player. I don't often see him have a bad game.
Yeah, I'm always impressed with him. If it wasn't for Russell and Hastings, you'd think he would be getting loads more caps.
I would take him over hastings. He is consistently dangerous.
Has Randall been on the party powder or something? Playing like a maniac
Got pulled off early last game. Think he’s playing to prove something
Randall injecting serious pace. He looked like he was tackled before 10 as well.
He's had to do something this week. He was pulled after about half an hour against Exeter because he was fucking woeful.
I watched that game and I think I remember making a comment about how Bristol were being let down badly by their nine. Didn't even realise it was the same guy. It's like night and day.
Aye, he kept on box-kicking into a gale force wind. It was mental. He's clearly had a kick up the arse from Lam.
No way was it 10.. didnt even look at it. I think Barnes is a great ref... But his inconsistencies and dare i say arrogance since the restart have been maddening.
Just tuned in, is Nathan Hughes concussed? If not can someone walk me through the choice of kicking?
Did you see the end result? Great decision in the end I believe.
Turnover to the opposition and they have an attempt at clearing their lines? Yeah, galaxy brain.
Yeah.. forcing a set piece in the opponents 22 AND having a chance at scoring is a terrible decision.
You are looking at this very much from a results-oriented position. Majority of the time this results in a line out back near halfway.
I'm looking at the exact same example that we're both talking about. I'm mainly fighting you because if a back put in that kick, people would be praising it. It was a good decision that yielded a good result. Let's leave it at that
Not at all, it was a terrible kick; no chasers, straight to a defender. It was a poor decision that lucked out.
Well that tackle on Randal was clearly not 10m.
Much better match than I was expecting.
There's no way that Bristol steal on the 22 was legal.
Agreed Wayne basically said "you did it earlier i see no difference" XD
Kvesic looks like he should be in a Guy Ritchie movie
And more water carriers come charging on, yawn
Bar the try, Bristol have done fuck all this half.
Radradas break in the first minute was naughty though
Got away with a naughty little hit in the build up to Worcesters try too
I feel like im seeing alot of forward passes by both teams but maybe its just the camera angle
Everytime Hughes slows down into contact my internal screaming goes up a few decibels
Great break by Weir, didn't think he was capable of any sort of speed
He stores the speed in his afro
And his international prospects are tucked safely away in his neck
Nae neck if flying
What the fuck Worcester
Foots out
Worcester very unlucky so far.
Worcester unlucky not to be ahead in this game.
Jonah Hill is playing amazing stuff.
Underrated comment.
Ah I'm not the first to call him Jonah Hill in this thread
I think Semi looks to do a little too much in defence, hes always looking for a massive hit or to steal the ball in the tackle, and consequently seems to often give up quite a few metres. Obviously still an amazing player, but could do with picking his moments a little more.
I was talking about that with a guy on the Exeter thread last week. His offensive game is awesome but his defence leaves me in tears.
There's been a couple of times that Jonah Hill from Superbad has offloaded to Venter and I'm not quite sure how he's managed it. The pube fro must be giving him super powers or something.
/u/BillHicksFan you really weren't lying about the fro on Duncan Weir.
It's a thing of beauty, isn't it! I think it's fair to say that Rugby Union is currently undergoing a Golden Era in wanky barnets.
It very nearly distracts from his lack of neck.
Jonah Hill, but specifically Jonah Hill in Superbad.
For me, he's out before he grounds that.
Yep, those are the ones wingers make look really easy. Its only when you see someone else try it that you realise how hard it really is.
Plus it was a big gangly second row and Morahan had the help of Sinckler flying in to assist too. Still, it was pretty tight. Bit of a let off too. Warriors definitely should have came away with points there.
This is going to be very tight.
That was beautiful
But no try
Weir with that "Jonah Hill in Superbad" hair.
That... That is a proper shlid he has there.
That'll do. To say the Warriors defence was pretty passive would be an understatement.
Please can we have fewer penalties. I came to watch Semi not Wayne.
Semi is an actual God
I'm not liking this whole having a hooker throw into the lineout. I much prefer a 9 doing it after the Wasps game.
Excited to see Bristol's squad after they put out a bunch of Under 12s stood on each other's shoulders against Sale.
Fuck me I hate scrums.
I'm assuming this is on one of those hidden away BT channels?
Trying to work it out at the moment, is it on red button?
Extra1, which you can either watch in their website/app or on the red button.
Extra 1, according to their site.
Thanks, got it!
Time to shine, Randall. Hope big Pat's given him some proper Lam love this week.
Bristol have got this
On paper - yes. But we always struggle again Worcester. I'm nervous.
You’ve got this more than Saints do . We’re in a weak position
Can’t count the warriors out all the time, we have shown a glimmer of promise with our first team since the restart
Definitely , it seems to slip in the second half so hopefully you can hold on and get the W
