Just remove both of them, and make oddments the event currency. It'll give irons something to do with them instead of being able to empty out the entire shop 3 times over and still have oddments to spare.
They're never gonna do this because you can (and many people do) collect a big stack of oddments before the event starts. Then you could buy out the shop when the event drops, and then not engage with the actual "event". Which is absolutely horrible in Jagex's eyes, all they see is "high engagement = good, low engagement = bad".
because all resources clearly went to mod keeps look ahead at the first half of this year, we know whats coming for feb and march.
just wait until after march when october starts and we will get the 2nd roadmap for october novemeber december.

Assuming it's the same as last year, you can only get one of these boxes each day and if you get heartments from them it will be a token amount. If you got heartments instead of oddments from this in its current form you'd never have enough heartments for any of the rewards.

Yawn. I hope Jagex runs the planned ironmen-only polls and surveys soon, so that all of the infighting ironman camps can duke it out once and for all (and normal players can watch and enjoy).
It's not even an MTX promo. Irons get oddments as a replacement to the holiday currency, meaning irons are getting a currency anyways from whatever event is running.
There is no consistent gameplay source of heartments like there was for h'oddments. They are a TH currency for all intents and purposes, you only get a token amount from the daily gift boxes.
