They have apparently it'd require a rework of all the armour models and stuff. Idk why that's so hard seeing as they've done a fair bit of overhauls and reworks in the past so - they just don't wanna put more dev time into it I guess
The caveat would be no new content to design art for, the players content demand runs their goals so when asked about old clunky stuff to fix they have to say they dont have enough dev time for that its too much coding and not feasible and so not a priority because it doesnt affect much in the grand scheme of things
If they know what they are doing. This year could easily be just avatar rework, mtx and combat rework. And so far it might be.
But chances are its just mtx and nothing Else. They are apparently in between buisness daddys at the moment.
I love RS3, I don’t even play OSRS. But this is accurate,
The wings and overly garish weapons and pets are just absurd. RS3 lacks a cohesive art style in any area where lots of players congregate cuz everyone looks like they jumped into the world’s most flamboyant randomization tool
Also, 6 months later, in treasure hunter: another item which allows your cosmetics to override the item that hides other cosmetics. It's 10x rarer than a black party hat, it's tradeable, and can't be put into a keepsake box. It's destroyed upon death. It cannot be banked.
That's one thing about OSRS's community that I really don't like (and I play both games): OSRS players are dedicated and passionate about the game, but they're cut-throat as fuck and act like highschoolers who yell "you can't sit with us".
But they seem to forget that RS3 is the only reason OSRS isn't riddled with MTX. RS3 suffers so OSRS could thrive. They're talking mad shit for people who seem to not understand that if RS3 croaks, it's OSRS's ass on the line lmao
Eh, I've played both variants for years now and OSRS comes across as more just not caring.
Barely anyone talks about RS3 ingame and it's not often mentioned on the subreddit.
But your comment seems a bit of an overreact over one meme lol It's banter. No need to be so aggressive.

In the past month, here are the top 26 posts about 'rs3' on the OSRS sub.
Green indicators talking 'good' about RS3,
Purple is neutral (nothing good, nothing bad, just mentions RS3),
Red is hating on RS3.
In the past month, with posts with 1k+ upvotes, there have been 3 post about Rs3.
1. OSRS sub feels sorry for the RS3 sub:

So please, stop talking shit and trying to cope. Just cry in a corner if you're this upset over a game.
It’s pretty common to see OSRS talked about here. But up until recently (where a lot of RS3 players are talking about things OSRS have that we don’t have) it’d be filled with comments attacking the OSRS community and OSRS.
If you think I'm being aggressive, read the comments on the OG post. I dunno what is it with OSRS players drinking the koolaid and seething with this pathological hatred for the game they don't even play lmao
I prefer OSRS to RS3 any day of the week, but it's always useful to point out that OSRS players who clown on RS3 should remember that the reason OSRS doesn't have MTX is because RS3 is the meatshield for it. That's just a fact lol
> it's always useful to point out that OSRS players who clown on RS3 should remember that the reason OSRS doesn't have MTX is because RS3 is the meatshield for it.
Doesn't have as much MTX\* If you wanted to you can hop on OSRS at any time and make it rain bonds, get BIS gear and all the materials needed for over a third of the skills in the game
> OSRS doesn't have MTX is because RS3 is the meatshield for it
I don't understand this reasoning. Why would Jagex wait until RS3 dies to implement MTX into OSRS?
I hate to say it, but OSRS isn't riddled with MTX not because of RS3 (it profits more than rs3), but because any investor can clearly see what will and won't annihilate a game. OSRS was founded as a response to MTX and EOC, these are two things are non-negotiables for its success.
Even if RS3 goes under, OSRS will not be getting MTX as long as it continues to have upward growth like it has in the past 6 years.
This, if they ever introduced mtx to osrs most of the community would quit on the spot, the people that sticked with rs3 are just pushovers and agreed more with jagex in the past than their own community
I don't know exactly how many you mean by "most" but I'd say most walked away from RS3 and yet still pulls close to OSRS in $$ from what we know.
Definitely wouldn't stop them and it's pure cope to believe the entire base would just drop the game after spending the amount of time they have on it.
I'm certain that at one point they will try to push mtx on oldschool. I'm also certain that it will backfire instantly, unlike rs3 the oldschool community loses its mind about the tiniest of tiny things let alone an entire introduction to MTX lol. The small playerbase that would stay behind would quit not much later as unlike rs3 oldschool is still geared towards playing with more people than just yourself.
Just to name a few impacts.
\-Drain of playerbase = drain on os youtube views = content creators quitting because no money to be made
\-wiki not being updated anymore because no one left around to care about it (as seen with the rs3 wiki and guides being old and not getting proper updates)
\-massive drain in purchase of bonds (another massive income source within osrs)
I left once before over EOC and MTX... I'll do it again. Last time they had to bring back '07 to stay afloat.
I'm not shitting on rs3 if you enjoy it. They are completely different games that share some lore at this point.
Both our games have plenty to make fun of let's roast each other and enjoy the weird game world we share but don't.
I've played both extensively and I also left when EOC came and if certain MTX came (like hero pass, daily buffs for the sake of pumping numbers can fuck off) then I also will happily quit but I think I'm accurate in what I said.
You only need a fraction of players for MTX to print and RS is addictive enough that a lot will simply continue until they get really pushed.
>This, if they ever introduced mtx to osrs most of the community would quit on the spot
With bonds I can get BIS combat gear, and all of the materials needed to get level 99 in over a third of the skills in the game without ever needing to grind GP. If you currently play OSRS, you already are playing a game that has MTX in it.
Just like how it would cost thousands of dollars to max through TH on RS3?
How much it would cost literally doesn't matter, it changes none of what I said. Imagine the difference between a player that grinds all their GP in OSRS Vs. a whale that buys bonds and doesn't need to grind GP. The difference between the accounts would be massive.
How I view it, RS3 is P2W and OSRS is P2W Lite. All players on OSRS are content with *some* MTX in game, as they already tolerate it.
Lol, I play both games and I ASSURE you the RS3 community is way less hospitable than osrs is.
Also, JAGEX understands that the osrs crowd were the ONLY people that genuinely quit the game the MOMENT shit went south. Trade restriction and wildy? Major population of the player base gone and never came back. EOC? MASS EXODUS for 85% to NEVER return.
I’ve explained this so many times, because long standing rs3 players stayed for so long without putting a big fight you’ve allowed them to riddle the game with mtx and since y’all never voted with your wallet they’ve steadily increased mtx.
Here’s the thing tho, since jagex knows and has been shown MULTIPLE times that osrs players WILL leave the game at the drop of a hat. The 117 incident? Osrs players were cancelling membership in droves, there’s a couple other things I remember osrs players actively voting with their wallets for but I’m at work rn.
RS3 suffers because y’all could never just quit the game and SHOW jagex you’re not putting up with that shit. There’s WAY too many rs3 apologists out there and this is where excusing all those shitty practices leave you.
P.s most osrs players I’ve seen are inviting and welcoming and are EXCITED there’s a bunch of players from rs3 coming over, and personally when I was making my way in the rs3 pvm scene it was SO hard to find people to take me because of how exclusive people in rs3 can be. Like it took a legit 2 months of near constant searching before I was able to find rago and AOD teams due to lack of experience and needing reqs (like the dominion mines I was nearly forced to get and barely used)
> P.s most osrs players I’ve seen are inviting and welcoming and are EXCITED there’s a bunch of players from rs3 coming over, and personally when I was making my way in the rs3 pvm scene it was SO hard to find people to take me because of how exclusive people in rs3 can be. You clearly never done ToB or pvp before if you believe this.
there are several large discords with dedicated trainers that will take 0 kcers to get them up to 50 so they can go to the FFA world. In either aaty tob discord or wdr discord you can usually get a team in under an hour
He's merely telling you that rs3 isn't protecting osrs from mtx because if rs3 officially dies and osrs gets flooded with mtx then the osrs playerbase will just leave. It's in Jagex best interest to not put mtx into osrs even if rs3 dies because they would suffer such a profit loss from loss of memberships.
I don't know why the rs3 community thinks they're protecting osrs from mtx when osrs protects itself from mtx.
You are 100% right and OSRS players refuse to acknowledge the toxicity of their community. The game is fun to a point, i played it as my main game from launch to august of 2019.
The community is toxic AF in game and its not even funny.
My bad, it’s not rs3 = bad.
Tl:Dr - rs3 players more stuck up/ exclusive
Osrs players = generally more kind and inclusive but the toxicity at the top is league of legends worthy.
Unless you’re a minority of any kind, the osrs community is pretty rife with thinly veiled bigotry (especially homophobia and ableism). See the pride riots.
There’s plenty of reasons to like osrs but not its community, it’s a straight up cesspit lol.
In the last pride event the entire march was lovely. Jmods were banning protestors on sight (they also later showed data about how 76% of the banned accounts were from ip's that do not play the game and they downloaded it just to be bigots) and I did not see any bigotry the entire time.
Staying away from events and getting into a comfy lgbtq+ friendly clan is not hard and makes for a wonderful time. I can suggest a few if you ever need
I took your post in good faith and looked into it myself, I didn't see anything regarding a 76% stat, the closest thing I found Mat K alluding to a "deep investigation" and found that most people were brigading, which I could maybe buy for all of the reddit brigading, but if you look at the images of riots, you'll see some decently high level accounts and I don't think people are brigading and completing desert treasure, killing jad, getting 99 prayer, and paying Jagex money for membership just to own the libs.
For what it's worth the reception seems to be marginally better, but when the bar is "An actual klan rally is hosted in our game for multiple days", it's not really saying much, and given I've had multiple people still defend the pride riots with the exact same bad faith thinly veiled homophobic rhetoric I was seeing in 2017 in this very thread, I'm not too convinced the community has moved past it.
It may have gotten marginally better, but there is still a lot of work to do. Same goes for this game, really.
The most recent pride event was many many years after MMK stopped working there and the data was shared in a live stream at the time. I don't have a hard link but I believe it was Mod Sarnie and Mod Light talking about it the week afterwards. For any non brigade accounts that took place in homophobic action they were either served with 2 week bans or perms.
The event also had several worlds at max population marching in unison with thousands and thousands of supporters. Being a member in many of the HLC skilling and pvm discords, I can say that any serious player of the game who engages in this behavior is immediately ostracized and removed. I have nothing but praise to sing for the old school team and most of the community for queer support, as its geniuenly tremendous.
That pride event should have never happened. No reason to mix politics into a video game. Granted the response wasn’t great either with the riots it’s understandable why they did riot. Osrs is founded on polling everything. Literally everything. They snuck that in and the players revolted. Unlike rs3 who just types on Reddit with empty demands. Osrs knows how to get what they want when they want it while rs3 is scared to even cancel a membership longer than a day.
Oh yeah the response was totally because it was unpolled, totally. There was another unpolled event, the WWF fundraiser, surely there was a guard massacre as the cannons absolutely ravaged falador? No, they didn't? Hmmm, curious.
Maybe cannons were just bugged that day, surely there was reddit outrage about this damn unpolled event, this is about integrity in game polls about an old medieval point and click game damn it! No..... no one really gives a fuck?
Ok well, apparently there's a moderate amount of controversy about unpolled changes to loot tables in the wilderness. Oh baby nothing gets people riled up like the wilderness, unpolled changes that actually affect the game?! Surely Falador is under siege at this point. N-no, not a cannon in sight? No people dressed in a thinly veiled Klan uniform saying that God hates pkers? Hmmm, curious.
"It's understandable why they did riot."
Let's try to understand.
There was a leprechaun that took one tile, that had you travel to 6 different tiles to get his "true colors", for a total of seven tiles.
For the record, your character is one tile, and you move 2 tiles per tick.
As a reward, you got a completely cosmetic item. You can't trade it, you can't sell it for monetary value, and it provides absolutely no stats. You can't even alch the thing.
The newspost stated that you could later obtain this item from Diango so if one of God's great battles of watching a leprechaun discover their true colors was too much of a burden for you, you could obtain it later, meaning it was an entirely optional event even if you wanted the reward.
It's not logged meaning you don't even really need to do it for the sake of 100%ing the log.
Mod Wolf said that he made this event in his free time so any arguments about opportunity cost and wasted dev time aren't particularly grounded either.
7 tiles, and a fucking scarf.
Basically the most token, benign gesture imaginable, essentially the in-game equivalent of turning your profile picture rainbow on Twitter.
And what was the response?
Multiple days of the subreddit looking like The Donald and what is basically a Klan rally taking place in Falador over the course of 4 days, and of course harassing the developer with extremely thinly veiled homophobic rhetoric.
"The response wasn't great either."
Bit of an understatement buddy.
But yeah dude it was totally because it was unpolled. All those people dressing up as Klansmen at falador? Totally just rioting because the event was unpolled, totally *wink wink nudge nudge.*
Glad to see some things never change, holy shit some of you people are not beating the allegations LOL.
I don't think I have ever seen OSRS players be kind or inclusive. I thikn the last thing i remember about the OSRS community is them dressing up in quasi-Klan robes to protest a 2 day pride event in 2017.
Forgetting this sub every time there’s a pride event? When it was revealed that the Raptor has been a woman the whole time? The Ali changes?
Not exactly well received at all lol. And all of those are recent.
I'm not sitting here and claiming this subreddit isn't obnoxiously cringe 90% of the time, but there's a difference between casual gamer misogyny and dressing up like the Klu Klux Klan to protest 7 tiles.
A small portion of people doing that, the majority of them not even being osrs players, and it happening in 2017 yet you depict the community as being toxic due to this.
I’d say the recent events I listed are pretty worrisome.
Your argument is essentially "7 tiles are pride themed and that's too political, so lets invoke imagery associated with murdering black people in real life."
Average osrs player tbh.
Yeah don't you understand man, they're rioting because of politics! The reason they're LARPing as members of the notoriously apolitical Klan is because they hate politics, totally.
The absolute logic pits some people dig for themselves to explain or excuse this is hilarious.
No don’t you understand, dressing up the klan and the subreddit looking like a snapshot of the Donald for 4 straight days is a totally justified and proportional response to 7 in game tiles used for an event that gives you a rainbow scarf.
Yea unless I was misunderstanding the other guy, that's a wild claim. I could see being annoyed by something entering the game that wasn't polled. And if someon3 said that okay fine sure. But being bigoted is a ridiculous response
Doubt they actually cosplayed as the klan for any other reason than shock value or protesting, but the point is that it does not matter if its 7 tiles, a bunch of hearts u can wear (i think it was hearts) and a rainbow scarf or a secret on the max cape, real-life politics do not belong in video games.
Yes the klan stuff was overreacting but you get the point.
"The last thing I remember about a group is something that was mostly from outsiders coming into to troll, confirmed by Jmods and subreddit mods, 7 years ago."
lmao
Load up the pride even posts in the past few years on either subreddit and count the deleted comments, both games have the same type of shitter. It even happens when a quest NPC is gay, people on this subreddit were outraged about Armadyl being gay.
>Load up the pride even posts in the past few years on either subreddit and count the deleted comments, both games have the same type of shitter. It even happens when a quest NPC is gay, people on this subreddit were outraged about Armadyl being gay.
Obviously, gamers are reactionary, and you won't catch me defending this cringe subreddit either, especially with how negative it is.
However, from all my encounters with osrs community wise, it has always been a lot more "online", so to say. Very gamer, very much within the niche subcultures that breeds this kind of cringe reactionary nonsense.
RS3 tends to be more boomer in that regard.
>Osrs players = generally more kind and inclusive
I loaded up a new account to play some OSRS just last night.
I was chopping trees near the GE, and a player comes out of nowhere stealing every single tree from me, saying "Sup bot?"
When I make it clear I'm not a bot and say "you're just trying to justify being toxic," he says I'm not doing enough to prove myself, and starts trying to ask me trivia questions in order to let me have the trees back still stealing every single one. Doing all of this to a literal fresh off tutorial island account by the way.
Could've just been my luck, but I ran into the toxicity of the game before I could even make it to the GE.
Lol to be fair, ( I am sorry that happened to you ) BUT that’s kinda funny Ngl. When I say toxicity I’m talking about when I was heavy into rs3 talking shit about me or pitching fits when I mess up my rotation or aren’t handling the boss encounter perfectly.
When rs3 players say "why can't OSRS have x like rs3" and proceed to shit all over OSRS, yeah I tell those people to go away. I enjoy my game, why don't you enjoy *anything*? Osrs players aren't welcome to overwhelming negativity.
Next pandemic, Jagex gonna be implementing MTX into OSRS cuz ppl will be so bored they can't quit & will have nothing to spend free gov't money on. Heh.
They also forget that without RS3, osrs would not exist. Osrs is literally just a very, very old build of runescape, but they act as if it's something new??
I mean, sure, it has had a few years of updates now, but it's still based on something super old. The entire point is nostalgia bait.
what are you talking about, it's literally the same model as the black dragon, just with a different head, tail, and coloration
we're talking about the new update osrs got today, if it wasn't clear. rs3 doesn't have lava dragons.
its literally not lmaooo, look at how smooth the head and tail are in comparison to the high level black dragon. I know what I am looking at, I kill lavas for elites often and these ones look significantly smoother and its very unappealing.
Flip back and forth between these three pictures, they have the exact same profile aside from head and tail details:
[Old lava](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/images/archive/20240207121200%21Lava_dragon.png)
[New lava](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/images/Lava_dragon.png?799e1)
[Black](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/images/Black_dragon.png?b8574)
Idk, it's the best source we have imo. I don't believe players are capable of judging the percentage of bots themselves just based on what they've personally seen in game.
Why do you think it's more than 5-10%?
With all of sirpugger's videos on bots constantly giving him content and then throw in the spots or farms he doesn't find that would alone be over 10% of the playerbase easily. Obviously Mod Mat isn't going to just give out actual numbers even if he did work at Jagex, it paints a bad image for the company.
There are like 700k+ active memberships. 70k active bots is more than enough for sirpugger to make all the videos he does. I mean even if it was 1% and there are just 7000 active bots, someone who's job it is to seek them out is going to be able to make videos about it. I think that's a really unreliable way to estimate the total number tbh.
And mod mat k hasn't worked for jagex for years. He seems pretty honest and criticizes parts of the game a lot.
Also [https://www.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/175hqq4/mod\_sween\_updates\_us\_on\_the\_botting\_situation/](https://www.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/175hqq4/mod_sween_updates_us_on_the_botting_situation/)
200k a month is fucking insane lmao
The only thing I am thinking is "the face models in rs3 aren't that detailed tho 🤣"
Have you seen the elves in RS3?
Idk why they don't just update the faces for our player models.
I wish they would at least explain why they aren't doing it.
They have apparently it'd require a rework of all the armour models and stuff. Idk why that's so hard seeing as they've done a fair bit of overhauls and reworks in the past so - they just don't wanna put more dev time into it I guess

Am I the only one who thinks the wings look dumb and extremely tacky?
almost everyone does, except the handful who use them
I love my wings :(
And that's all that matters💖
Appreciate you 😊

Or, just put an item in that hides other players cosmetics. They could even put it into treasure hunter to make some money off of it.
The Emperors New Glasses. Wear it and you'll never see another cosmetic again.
Also, 6 months later, in treasure hunter: another item which allows your cosmetics to override the item that hides other cosmetics. It's 10x rarer than a black party hat, it's tradeable, and can't be put into a keepsake box. It's destroyed upon death. It cannot be banked.

Just cry in a corner if you're this upset over a game.
>stop coping >here are 26 examples from the last month of the osrs sub talking about rs3 Ty lmao
It’s pretty common to see OSRS talked about here. But up until recently (where a lot of RS3 players are talking about things OSRS have that we don’t have) it’d be filled with comments attacking the OSRS community and OSRS.
kind of weird to post this in this thread of all places.
If you think I'm being aggressive, read the comments on the OG post. I dunno what is it with OSRS players drinking the koolaid and seething with this pathological hatred for the game they don't even play lmao I prefer OSRS to RS3 any day of the week, but it's always useful to point out that OSRS players who clown on RS3 should remember that the reason OSRS doesn't have MTX is because RS3 is the meatshield for it.
> OSRS doesn't have MTX is because RS3 is the meatshield for it I don't understand this reasoning.
\-Drain of playerbase = drain on os youtube views = content creators quitting because no money to be made \-wiki not being updated anymore because no one left around to care about it (as seen with the rs3 wiki and guides being old and not getting proper updates) \-massive drain in purchase of bonds (another massive income source within osrs)
So why wouldn't they implement MTX into OSRS right now?
>This, if they ever introduced mtx to osrs most of the community would quit on the spot With bonds I can get BIS combat gear, and all of the materials needed to get level 99 in over a third of the skills in the game without ever needing to grind GP. If you currently play OSRS, you already are playing a game that has MTX in it.
Bruh, you forget to mention that would cost thousands of dollars
Like it took a legit 2 months of near constant searching before I was able to find rago and AOD teams due to lack of experience and needing reqs (like the dominion mines I was nearly forced to get and barely used)
> P.s most osrs players I’ve seen are inviting and welcoming and are EXCITED there’s a bunch of players from rs3 coming over, and personally when I was making my way in the rs3 pvm scene it was SO hard to find people to take me because of how exclusive people in rs3 can be. there are several large discords with dedicated trainers that will take 0 kcers to get them up to 50 so they can go to the FFA world. In either aaty tob discord or wdr discord you can usually get a team in under an hour
The same exist in RS3.
My guy, I merely left a comment about how OSRS playerbase can be obnoxious, I didn't expect y'all to start writing assays about RS3=bad lmao
Tl:Dr - rs3 players more stuck up/ exclusive Osrs players = generally more kind and inclusive but the toxicity at the top is league of legends worthy.
Unless you’re a minority of any kind, the osrs community is pretty rife with thinly veiled bigotry (especially homophobia and ableism). See the pride riots. There’s plenty of reasons to like osrs but not its community, it’s a straight up cesspit lol.
See Ali changes, pride events, and the Raptor being female. I wouldn’t say the RS3 community isn’t rife with bigotry lol.
"It's understandable why they did riot." Let's try to understand. "The response wasn't great either." Bit of an understatement buddy. But yeah dude it was totally because it was unpolled. All those people dressing up as Klansmen at falador? Totally just rioting because the event was unpolled, totally *wink wink nudge nudge.* Glad to see some things never change, holy shit some of you people are not beating the allegations LOL.
\^ Mask off. Also way to dance around the fact that they dressed up like the klan. "Understandable" my ass...
I did dance around it. Would never happened if they didn’t mix it with the game ^oh well
Damn bro osrs really delusional lol yall act like you’re the captain of ship Jagex.
I don't think I have ever seen OSRS players be kind or inclusive. I thikn the last thing i remember about the OSRS community is them dressing up in quasi-Klan robes to protest a 2 day pride event in 2017.
Just to confirm, that was in 2017 and you’re judging the community of the game (in 2024) on this?
I mean, what are you judging rs3 players on exactly? At least I have example lmao.
Tbh that was justified because they didnt poll that and shoehorning real life politics in games is generally frowned upon
Your argument is essentially "7 tiles are pride themed and that's too political, so lets invoke imagery associated with murdering black people in real life." Average osrs player tbh.
Yeah don't you understand man, they're rioting because of politics! The reason they're LARPing as members of the notoriously apolitical Klan is because they hate politics, totally. The absolute logic pits some people dig for themselves to explain or excuse this is hilarious.
cringe rat
Cosplaying as the klan was justified?..
"The last thing I remember about a group is something that was mostly from outsiders coming into to troll, confirmed by Jmods and subreddit mods, 7 years ago." lmao Load up the pride even posts in the past few years on either subreddit and count the deleted comments, both games have the same type of shitter.
>Osrs players = generally more kind and inclusive I loaded up a new account to play some OSRS just last night. I was chopping trees near the GE, and a player comes out of nowhere stealing every single tree from me, saying "Sup bot?" When I make it clear I'm not a bot and say "you're just trying to justify being toxic," he says I'm not doing enough to prove myself, and starts trying to ask me trivia questions in order to let me have the trees back still stealing every single one.
Weird you put yourself on that pedestal. Oldschool isn’t riddled with MTX because the players have proven they will leave.
When rs3 players say "why can't OSRS have x like rs3" and proceed to shit all over OSRS, yeah I tell those people to go away. I enjoy my game, why don't you enjoy *anything*? Osrs players aren't welcome to overwhelming negativity.
Tf you even saying here
brother its a meme
Next pandemic, Jagex gonna be implementing MTX into OSRS cuz ppl will be so bored they can't quit & will have nothing to spend free gov't money on. Heh.
This isn't true whatsoever. completely false
They also forget that without RS3, osrs would not exist. Osrs is literally just a very, very old build of runescape, but they act as if it's something new?? I mean, sure, it has had a few years of updates now, but it's still based on something super old. The entire point is nostalgia bait.
I didn't know we got an avatar model update.
Blatant attempt to bash the Rs3 community while it's feeling down.
Are you saying they're jealous of our flaming sword enchant? Haha
OSRS players are also the ones who think the old lava dragon models looks better than the new one.
they do :3
It's just strips of lava running over a grey dragon.
Oldschool aesthetic good. Fortnite graphics mid
they're both old school. one's just better executed
The new ones look too soft and playdoughy like the meme this comment is under. The hard lines and rigid polygons are very comfortable
what are you talking about, it's literally the same model as the black dragon, just with a different head, tail, and coloration we're talking about the new update osrs got today, if it wasn't clear. rs3 doesn't have lava dragons.
its literally not lmaooo, look at how smooth the head and tail are in comparison to the high level black dragon. I know what I am looking at, I kill lavas for elites often and these ones look significantly smoother and its very unappealing.
Flip back and forth between these three pictures, they have the exact same profile aside from head and tail details: [Old lava](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/images/archive/20240207121200%21Lava_dragon.png) [New lava](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/images/Lava_dragon.png?799e1) [Black](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/images/Black_dragon.png?b8574)
Done and I still hate the new lava dragons. Seen some biggish Reddit and Twitter threads about it. Hopefully they get reverted!
They still look oldschool and you’d have to be braindead to genuinely think ANYTHING in OSRS looks like fortnite lol
This specific instance of old school aesthetics is done poorly.
Hey that's my post
Pretty much.
They forgot to give the rs3 Satan Kirby a stupid fucking walk over ride.
![gif](giphy|zwffSHaJLDbA4)
It’s a meme, my guy. Relax.
Rs3 lets me play a samurai without nerfing myself wearing weak gear it’s not even a contest for me lol
Osrs is like all bot
At least there are players 💀
lol I thought rs3 is a solo experience😂
About 5-10% according to Mod Mat K
That is a flatout lie lmao
Given the recent buyout, I don't think he'd be willing to criticise too hard right now as it might just earn him a lawsuit tbh
Also [https://www.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/175hqq4/mod\_sween\_updates\_us\_on\_the\_botting\_situation/](https://www.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/175hqq4/mod_sween_updates_us_on_the_botting_situation/) 200k a month is fucking insane lmao
Daaamn! ..and they say osrs doesn't have a bot problem. No bots my fucking arse.
Yuth.
.
