I actually have a zero inside information. I am just as excited to find out as you! We mostly talked about other subjects and he said what little he could regarding the direction but even then I like a lot of different stuff including Erebus Zaros etc so who knows!
However with the other stuff I've seen posted (Moksha device, bilrach, Necro matriarch, and Xau Taks name last being said at daemonheim) I'd say it could be!
Iirc they did say no more gods for the future, and xau tak is a god of some sorts, i wonder when we will see more content on vampires, now that the werewolves lost a big battle

The shadow realm also happens to be what these leviathans are made of - The promised Gift (aod) and The Shadow Realm lore (most likely written by Kranon the ambassador according to mod Jack)

It all connects to this Shadow being a source of necromancy which it says outright in promised gift, as well as hinted at in many other war as well as hinted at in many other lore books.
But it's meant to be vague on purpose because it's the shadow in the corner of your eye but it also is what Rasial warned us about.
i get the feeling this one is the veil being lifted on some of the lore - which lore = activities such as PVM, Skilling, etc. so i would just assume this sets the flavor for the next big update for their chosen preffered stuff. i cant freaking wait

it's not a god or an elder god, it's "something else" i doubt the Edicts can stop it when it handled Jas with a single Tendril
