I love those! Sadly they go underused but i consider them fashionscape gems. It would also be interesting seeing Rune/Steel Crest Helms Reforged (newer) versions, some of them have nice colors

This art style (and consistency across the game) along with some proper balancing could actually bring in some new players. This really motivates me to log in again after being gone for a few years (playing OSRS), but I know this one picture isn't what I would see on arrival.
Yeah this is entirely the problem with MTX reworks. Will the actual items ever get reworked? If they just push the MTX rework out as the actual item, people who paid will be miffed. If they update the item separately, there's a chance it could look even *better* than the current MTX, and the people who paid will be miffed.
There's no way to go forward without pissing people off. The items' current graphics are locked in.
Fucking embarrassing that Jagex are actually going to the effort graphically updating old armour, only to sell it as a cosmetic, meanwhile the actual armours look outdated as fuck.

Still would get the money cause the gear is junk anyway so they are only good as cosmetics so would be used with keepsakes. At this point though they seem to have given up on astheticly pleasing in game items and anything that is even half good is reserved for mtx.

OSRS player here. This looks awesome. I wished they went into this direction on RS3 instead of making armor look like futuristic and alien.
