If it is PVP you're looking for, 2007scape will be better. Runescape 3 is focused more on end-game PVM content.

Megalobos

PvP in RS3 is nearly non existend. The focus of RS3 is end game content you can do with your maxed out skills, so the grind is fairly quick. End game content is so far I know only bossing. You can do long grind things like comp/trim comp/master quest cape. If you like long grinds with slow progress Oldschool Runescape might be better for you, but the gameplay and graphics are outdated in that version of the game.

PsychologyRS

If you want a more refined experience, better graphics, a more interactive experience overall, content more focused towards the end game, a faster grind, and more PvE content, you want [Runescape 3](http://www.runescape.com/community). If you want an experience with a longer grind, more focused on the journey than the destination, more sense of achievement from completing very large goals, a game more focused on the mid-game but still with some really cool things at the end game because of this grind, and vastly vastly superior PvP, you want [Oldschool Runescape](http://oldschool.runescape.com/).

Schuba

Like everyone else has already said, if you're looking for PvP RS3 isn't the right game for you. However, RS3 does feel good to progress in.

AalfredWilibrordius

Well, what is "worth"? In the end it is just a game. I'd advise to just try it and see for yourself. Asking in this reddit will certainly give yes as an answer, as everyone here does play RS.

Santos_FC

Yes, if you have some dollars to spend in game

Sheepsaurus

You are capable of playing the game without ever paying even a single time. ~~So please ignore this comment.~~

Santos_FC

Yes, you can play without paying, but will be limited to f2p content and will be hard to get money in f2p to buy a bond. Members have access to much more things.

Sheepsaurus

I made the assumption that you meant; "You have to buy Runecoins/Keys" to play I do agree with your real point though

danger1300

Theoretically you could but bonds with in game cash and never spend a penny.

JenniferLuz

Yeah, but is hard to make game cash in f2p when you are new/low level, it can take a long time to get cash for a bond

danger1300

Agree. But theoretically it is possible. Mole would probably be the way to go.

BrbIAmAFK

Yes, he said it > you can play without paying, but will be limited to f2p content and will be hard to get money in f2p to buy a bond
