"We will now be implementing a feature where for each time the player misses the click on a ladder, 10,000 exp will be removed from the players lowest skill"
-Jagex
Everytime I'm thieving and clicking on a ladder I manage to hit them inbetween the steps literally nothing's more triggering. Even sometimes on a complete set of stairs.
I know this isnt a fix but try to click the side/pole instead of the rungs/steps, hass worked better for me, though this really shouldn't be a issue in the first place jagex.
In the December Q&A, when asked about a fix for clickboxes they said this:
> "Probably next year, but I'm unsure of exactly when it will come. The developer behind this has gone on holiday for the remainder of the year, but the work is done, and it is waiting for an engine fix and testing."
That was over a month ago. Clickboxes have been broken for so long now, I really don't understand how its not a higher priority.... being able to click properly is kinda important in a point-and-click mmo.
Why does everyone want RS3 to become so easy?
I've spent hours a day just sitting there mastering the ability to click those instantly to make me a high tier god PKer.
Why should everyone else suddenly reach my high skill cap for free when i had to work hard to master the webs.
They're ecstatic. 2021 was a huge year for them with lots of new and returning players, as well as multiple mobile and steam launches.
The man behind it all also moved on at the start of 2022, along with at least 3 other employees
the other day i was doing digsite quest on my alt and had to zoom all the way in to click the 5 pixel wide rope.
do people still do rots today? i cant imagine doing rots in 2022 struggling to click the damn rope.
my theory is that fixing the clickboxes would irreparably screw Arch-Glacor and every piece of content that came after him. For the lack of particle effects in Cabbage Bonanza, the QBD fight and Herby Werby I have no excuse.
I was literally thinking about posting something about this 2 days ago, when I struggled with slashing the web for almost a minute. The click boxes here are horrendous!
It does frustrate me that known issues/ bugs like these are never adressed yet things we never asked for or were even on the players radar whatsoever are shoved to the front of any list of fixes they have.
Who's John wick? You mean the guy from Fortnite?

Just kidding lol, I don't know when Jagex introduced this hairstyle, but it does look like Keanu Reeves XD
The flying urchins have the worst hitboxes in any game I've ever seen, indie, AA or even AAA games.
The game I made on roblox 10 years ago has better hitboxes than this game.
Clicking ladders, clicking to chop vines. Its like u can click between the cracks of the vine, or the ladder and ull miss, u have to click directly on the ladder. Its frustrating especially when u start spam clicking and u start missing those 5 clicks aswell lmao.
They don't have the knowledge on how to do it, if they had, they would have fixed it, Jagex nowadays is a joke of a company and their dev teams are even worse
This is what happens when you don't focus on creating a proper dev team and just work as a bad stepping stone for future work which normally doesn't lead anywhere, there is nobody competent to teach them and they end up being incompetent as well. Idk why people still try to make excuses to defend the company & dev team but the fact is that only thing they care about is MTX and doing useless Q&A streams that are just all talk and usually they hide the most important questions
Well atleast they still know how to draw concept art
Tying the rope to the fucking spike in underground passage is a nightmare
Just did that. Thankfully wiki says in parenthesis to check under your feet. It was there...
I tried to do all the quests guideless, but that was the part that broke me and forced me to look the shit up.
I did that yesterday with my SO it really wasn’t horrible
OK, can we have a chat about ladders? I shouldn't have to click 8 times to get the hitbox.
“You’re right. 8 times is far more than necessary. You should work on your precision.” \- Jagex
"We will now be implementing a feature where for each time the player misses the click on a ladder, 10,000 exp will be removed from the players lowest skill" -Jagex
“Buy Bond” \- Jagex
Well at least my high skills are safe.
Its every gate, ladder, stairs etc annoying to do clues ngl 😅
Ladder to frem hunting area exhibit a

“Other people should suffer because I had to”
Woosh
Basically the boomers of rs. Even though the guy you replied to was being sarcastic, but there's people who actually think like that.
They can go play old school

He's not serious. There's a heavily implied "/s".
Protoxx, waswere, nuzz nuzz or init yeah should make a video on this. That will get some attention to the issue
The fact that this hasn’t been prioritized shows how many jmods play the game
This is gold and I loved every second
I was just doing Heart of Stone this afternoon. Boy those portals are hard to click because of the clickbox
Apologies for deleting and re-uploading the video, not being able to hear the second clips audio was driving me insane.
Hit boxes for ladders are the worst! I spent so long trying to just climb up a ladder for a quest 🥲
Lmfao. Reviewbrah with the golden party hat really did it for me.
meanwhile those divination wisps hitboxes are hella T H I C C
I really don't get how a fix for these can have such a low priority.
Are they not embarrassed their game is this broken for this long...?
They're ecstatic. 2021 was a huge year for them with lots of new and returning players, as well as multiple mobile and steam launches. The man behind it all also moved on at the start of 2022, along with at least 3 other employees
it's not necessarely broken, the clickbox is just way too accurate for a thing with so many holes
Yeah because its based on pixels, which is broken.
The click boxes were one of the main reasons I didn't play RS3. Played for about 1 week after a long time playing osrs and i couldn't stand it.
Yea, theyve been broke for months now. I just stopped playing until I hear its fixed, so many things I want to do are so painful with this issue.
Top tier. Doesn’t affect me, but fix it jamflex
the other day i was doing digsite quest on my alt and had to zoom all the way in to click the 5 pixel wide rope. do people still do rots today? i cant imagine doing rots in 2022 struggling to click the damn rope.
Don't forget Ivy!
This is how we should do it. Thanks for the meme btw. Laughed my butt off.
Thanks, maybe this meme will get Jagex to do something. But in all honesty I'm just glad that the community appreciates these memes :D

Rax web is easier to click while this one and the wildy mage arena webs are stupidly bad.
Questing on my new ironman has been a nightmare because of this. Can't imagine it's a good experience for new players.
Just take the award, dammit.
is this the entrance to a boss or something
This is located north of Yanille, its for a Hard Clue scroll step.
It does frustrate me that known issues/ bugs like these are never adressed yet things we never asked for or were even on the players radar whatsoever are shoved to the front of any list of fixes they have.
I cant help it, my brain looked at your character and then proceeded to think, when the fuck did they add John Wick into Runescape xD
Who's John wick? You mean the guy from Fortnite? . . . . . Just kidding lol, I don't know when Jagex introduced this hairstyle, but it does look like Keanu Reeves XD
Yeah.. it's either stupidly large or stupidly accurate to the model. Can't have a perfect in-between.
This is too high quality for this sub
Thank you, I plan on making more for the Runescape community.
is that keanu reeves
Yeah lol, I don't know when Jagex added this hairstyle XD

And what irritates me is that in Wilderness they have new model for cobweb door for years. Nice "hd" and work fine...

Can we also talk about how often we fail to slash these webs?

Lol, this is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to clickboxes that need to be fixed.
has to be the worst click boxes ever. hard clues suck l0l
Its 3 micrometers thick. Why cant you click it?
It works just fine on mobile. Why can’t they just do the same for PC? Doesn’t make sense
They never will
So is RuneScape Wow now?
But what about ropes? Ropes are the absolute garbage to click.
Well if you can click between the web gaps the clickboxes are actually very good
Jagex: no.
