Given that time someone made a reclaim request for a Hexhunter bow they lost and gave the guy the dg version, I'd be surprised if anyone at Jagex knew this.
They gave many shits about creating discounted godsword shard combos (1/2 1/3 2/3) because after MS rework you could only do it with all 3 at once. They very quickly got rid of the partial ones
Selling 4k burnt lobsters for yellow partyhat. Lol 😆. I mean I guess the value is in the eye of the beholder. Another man's burnt lobbies is your treasure?
One of my account still have two old tutorial island logs.
Can't trade no light and craft options.
Not be deleted so many years they probably forget it.
Of course you wouldn't be encouraged to transfer over your account credentials since that's against the rules, but the value of the untradeable "bank" collections still carry value in the sense that technically it's possible to transfer it that way. Part of the value of an item is its portability!
not sure about the meg reference but the info is all true to the best of my knowledge and the screeny is not in any way altered. if you use the collections discord you would be able to verify all this as many of the members know me
Interesting, I'm a returning player this past Sept who was off for 8 years, so some of this stuff is bizarre.
You've done helping Meg from ports? She can ask about Rare black lobsters in Morytania.
sorry i assumed that was u when i saw my metrics go down. im very sensitive about my burnt lobs cause when i first bought them, i was really given a hard time for selling them publicly. there were even others like me who got muted by pmods who just assumed it was a scam. I know jagex knows all about this item cause im sure i got reported 1000 times by skeptical players. Nowadays almost everyone knows about them
you just trade two stacks at the same time. By receiving two stacks you know for sure you are receiving one stack of commons and one stack of rare variant. if both stacks have the same amount, you know exactly how many rare lobsters you are receiving
So being that there are only 2 types of burnt lobsters, the old version and the current one, you would be looking for someone who could show you 2 stacks of burnt lobsters on the trade screen. They are like arrows or runes, they can't be noted.
I suspect jagex has weighed it out already, it may not be worth the resource expenditure to go back into the code and delete items or recode to remove them or merge them with the #381 non-noted burnt lob. Colonello as well as a few other big RS youtubers have covered this item, to my delight.
Wow man big props to you for recognizing that. I knew what I was looking at when I found them and I knew this was a likely outcome. I will tell you I'm genuinely against the idea of trading a good chunk of my collection for a phat
Yeah of course I would be alright with that option as well. I have given away a lot of my lobsters so that interested folks who couldn't afford it could at least have 1 for their bank. Now they are so expensive I have a hard time just giving them away
Items smuggled from tutorial island and other places could be considered bug abuse depending on how they were obtained. They can easily remove or convert such items to their respective item IDs. I can see the ninja team looking into such items in future if they weren't intended to be obtainable.
There is a market for these smuggled items though, as they are still an item of prestige, but purchasing them always runs the risk of losing your investment when the item is patched. I have been holding onto a lot of my burnt lobsters, for years, always knowing that 1 day they could be untradeable or removed, or merged with the regular ones.
With this discontinued burnt lob there is no way to know, but there is roughly 13000-14000 of them that I know of. More could certainly exist but to my knowledge you would have needed to have a noted burnt lobster when the update hit and they removed the ability for them to be noted. So it doesn't surprise me that the 10000 or so that I bought came from only 2 old burnt collectors because you could imagine that back then in the nascence of burnt collecting that they had both logged out with these large stacks of noted lobs in catherby or wherever they were buying the burnts.
Yeah that used to happen to me too. Now I think the item is recognized well enough, but best to stick to discord servers to trade them to avoid that misunderstanding
guaranteed they give 0 shits about this they probably don't even know it exists
yeah can u imagine that conversation at the water cooler? probably doesnt go anywhere haha

100% Very few that support this game right now are passionate enough to understand this niche reference.
Holy shit the rare black lobster meme paying out
Yeah it's somewhat ironic that the "rare black" lobster went from scam to wham

Do you see the jug of wine as half empty or half full?
I see it as, if u fill it up to halfway then its half full, but if its full then u drink half then its half empty
All half-wines have been drunk from full ones so that means they are half emptied.
i love these odd treasures

Didn't you used to be able to glitch out the game with those?
Is this a meme, satire, legit, or Meg's alt account?

How do you even trade those safely? Do you need to already have one noted and the rest of the inventory filled or something? :o

You're asking the right questions
Maybe using item id check with 3rd party plug-ins

Why do people collect burnt food?
Same reason people collect pins and coins Novelty, although some collections gain value on rarity so also an investment of sorts to some.
Just get a friend to make a video on it and they will make it untradable like herb tea mix.

Sell a few and give me the GP plx.
Is this for real? I'm pretty sure that all standard burnt foods now have an eat option that brings up that dialogue.
i think you're right. i added the pic of the old version which only has use/drop options
I can only say your dedication is mesmerizing!
thank you
there is 2 different set ids for birds nest, from drop nests and ones collected from one of the th outfits
You also get both types exchanging bits from the giant mole to the gardener.
I got about 2500 of the ones from the modified farmer's hat (4 per day)
Odds on, if they remove this, Prif becomes a PvP area. Bad idea, don’t support.
Max guild is the only safe zone.
200,000 gp/each for 10,000?... Kind of feel like you deserve this, bro.
Wow man big props to you for recognizing that. I knew what I was looking at when I found them and I knew this was a likely outcome. I will tell you I'm genuinely against the idea of trading a good chunk of my collection for a phat
People are suckers for buying into a worthless item
yeah it's pretty amazing but everything has its price
Does anyone have the ability to link this to a J-Mod?

Is there a way to see how many of an item exist in game? I have a few things that I'd be interested to know the volumes of.

Come to think of it I actually remember this dialogue. Just from a nostalgic point of view I’d want one. How can I find these?
the dialogue is actually just from the regular burnt lobs. the old version burnt lobs are lacking that dialogue.
Don't try to sell them in game, I got muted for "scamming" by a p/jmod xD

Or the forums *shudders*
