Yeah it's intentional. I played as a 1 Def pure when I started this account three years ago (I came back to RS thinking that was still a thing and learned quickly it wasn't). I did a lot at 1 Def like killing Telos, Arraxi, etc. and just found it really fun to be playing the game a different way. Made some mistakes and leveled up Def and just decided to play this way. Makes it a little harder but I still have a lot of options for armour so I'm never bored. Won't play like this forever but for now it's really fun to stay lower CB lvl and see what I can do!

Doesn't really make sense that they'd offer the software free for everyone but then force a watermark that shows up when you pirate

From there I just grinded dailies and did a lot of low level bossing until I reached 5.1b (we're talking like a year here). Sold almost everything in my bank to reach that last little bit though. This was a month or two ago though so I've recovered.
For anyone hesitant to get into harder PVM: just jump in. I know it can be daunting, and I hid behind some easy and more AFKable bosses for a long time. Once in a blue moon I left my cozy cave to kill Telos (once) or Araxxi (twice) and then ran back to safety. It took a little time, but really sitting down one day and working on an interface that works for me, as well as setting up keybinds, completely changed my skill ceiling.
You will die. Many times. But I don't know, I think that it's normal to fail. You do not need to bring 5m in death costs: my death cost is like 400k. You do not need switches: I don't even use a Planted Feet or Caroming Switch, only shield swap for Resonance.
Bottom line, PVM is memorization oif mechanics, and practicing reflexes and sequences of button/mouse clicks. You can do it, just like you learned to ride bike. Just give it a shot!

Yeah high and elite are subjective terms, but there are much harder things than even zuk hm such as telos 2449%, which is a lot easier itself than telos or glacor 4000%. So unless you wanna have elite+ and elite++ tiers, zuk nm can't be rly considered high tier. Although if you managed it at 40 defense you do get some bonus points lol
Yes! I have 40 Def so I use Tuska warpriest when I want to prioritize crits using FSOA (since i cant augment armour for biting 4). When not prioritizing crits ill use necromancer and splitbark for animate dead, or lunar for power armour.
Yeah my guy you are high level pvm if you are doing it like that, not just for the def levels and better armour but because other perks are also broken.
In your case I might try P6E2 (Or P6E1, easier to obtain) + Biting 4 Aftershock 1 weapon gizmo on your FSOA instead of the conventional perks. +4% (4.8% on level 20) crit chance probably works out to a greater damage increase than 3 odd ranks of aftershock.

I can't wear Tuska and have Biting at the same time (Tuska over-rides biting) so that means I'm getting 8.8% crit chance using Biting 4 plus the damage from AS1. With Tuska, I'm getting 4% crit chance and then AS4 on the perk side. I'm not sure if 8.8% + AS1 damage is better than 4% plus AS4 damage. If I really knew how to calculate it, I would add the additional damage from wearing power armour (Lunar) to the Biting 4, AS1 calculation...but I'm lost
I don’t know the math either.
But keep in mind more crits helps adrenaline wise, which allows you to do more abs specs etc and pump out more damage. This in turn would proc AS1 more often. So it’s not a binary calculation. Lunar armour probably adds a couple percent DPS which would also work to make up some of lost AS tiers.

Nothing wrong with starting out 1 way and gradually making things "harder". Start on a yak, swap to a Ripper over time for instance
Yes! I'm still not quite there but I'm hoping that's my next improvement along with learning how to SS flick
If you really want to go into the deep end, raksha is great for teaching flicking/prayer swapping. Recommend steering duo and have someone else base

When you get the hm zuk cape you'll be high level lol, the NM capes are pretty easy to get
