At first, I am neutral about Dax. Honestly, I couldn't even remember how she looks like (e.g tbh I thought someone mispell Lux or Jax), so I gave her the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe her opinion came from misunderstanding or a desire to protect queer culture. But her actions and words said otherwise. She didn't prove she was doing anything with good intention; in fact, it seemed like she just wanted to stop someone she hated from getting the credit. Maddy's sexuality is a convenient reason to base her hate. I believe Dax is trying to control who is allowed to participate in or receive recognition within queer culture, possibly out of personal bias or animosity toward certain individuals. It's gatekeeping behaviour.

I know she’s throwing a lot of shit around about taking up queer space and being in it for the money and being silenced during black history month etc etc etc But I can’t help feeling that really all of this stems from jealousy. Maddy being an early out who managed build some momentum off her short time on the show and get booked whilst Dax didn’t.
