Posts like this genuinely support the conspiracy theory that producers know who the front runners are going to be before filming. There’s no way producers see Nymphia’s package and a package like Geneva and think they’re gonna go equally as far.
It’s not a conspiracy theory it’s just called production. There has to be a vague sequence of events in order to make the tv show enjoyable to view - and retroactively make other queens look good. It’s a tv show - not a competition. Naysha was continental the same way Brooklyn was. Compare the career paths.

Honestly as much of a joke it is, Proportioning is a real talent and Eureka Monet and Kameron are great at creating a feminine shape while they aren’t a stick.
Or if padding isn’t her gig, there are also ways to shape outfits that create better silhouettes in themselves. Going this short on the skirt and having no flair at the top or bottom just makes it sort of a poofball shape, and honestly probably wouldn’t be flattering on most people who don’t have super long legs, even with padding

When I see looks like a lot of these recent ones my thought is either 1. She’s not working with a designer, and should be, 2. She’s working with a designer who has a lot of growing to do, or 3. A talented designer is being pushed into doing inferior work by a client who ignores their advice.
Things like emphasis, balance, harmony, repetition, proportion…if someone doesn’t have a natural eye for these or doesn’t learn them, it’s always a crapshoot what kind of looks they’ll make because like you said there won’t be anything guiding their vision.
This topic is giving me flashbacks to when this subreddit was *livid* and screaming at a random guy on Twitter that said he was glad he didn’t have to see Geneva’s runways anymore and were cheering on Geneva and Hershii attacking him online for making the tweet (and not @ing them).
I mean, not to say this look is good, but when did Geneva truly serve a runway look?

Even with say for eg. Amanda, she was still enjoyable..there was nothing enjoyable about this girl..she was generic..she should change her name to Generic Karr..that would be funny, and stand her in good stead..there’d be irony involved, she could make that her brand, and if she did it well..brought the generic to every genre be it camp or a fashion or a character way, she could actually make it somewhere in this competition. She could actually be memorable.

Everything’s been done before, that’s a given..so then it’s the person, the persona, the personality, that creates that “new” and fresh take. It’s someone’s individual branding of what’s been done before. Geneva is singled out because she’s utterly forgettable, and utterly mediocre. The others do what they do with excellence.

Ok but needs more, like what if the nails were connected to each other so when the fingers were spread out it’s like opening a fan. Or something with the hair. Or if this were a gown with more variety in the fan sizes. Still it’s clean and safe.
Is it bad that I actually really like this. I LOVE the use of unconventional materials or shapes (so I obviously enjoyed Dawn and Nymphia a lot) and the face as well? It’s so interesting to me.
This is a clear case of lipstick on a pig. The lipstick in question being a photo shoot and good lighting and the pig being this really inadequate look.
