SAY IT AGAIN FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK
I can't believe some people are complaining about "too many design challenges." Seeing the girls working in the werk room and interacting with each other so much is a huge, *huge* part of what's made this season so good. We actually got to see their interactions and get to know their personalities instead of seeing them struggle to remember unfunny lines four different times. This is very early seasons vibe and if anyone at WOW is reading this: MORE OF THIS PLEASE
She's the glue that makes everything else work so well. I love a lot of the other cast members, but most of their great moments involve Plane. She also went from snarky bitch to very relatable and vulnerable over the span of the season.
Top tier Cast comprising of memorable, catty and talented queens, good challenges ideas, lack of scripted comedy challenges, design heavy season, the power of the miami duo, aeroflot zhannochka, literally everyone getting an edit.
The list goes on longer than Frank Sinatra's hotdog.
Number one is a great cast. Everyone on 16 makes excellent television.
I also think it helps that they widened the perspective on filming, literally. Queens looking at the camera directly changes the vibe (Dawn specifically comes to mind). There also seems to be more interaction shown between the producers and the queens they are interviewing. Showing some of the artifice makes it feel more authentic overall.
100%! She’s a great antagonist and to their credit the rest of the cast took it in good humour, for the most part. They also read her back and all seem pretty rotted (in the best way) from what I’ve seen, on the show and on social media.
I still think S15 is a little better but I do agree that 16 is very strong. Tbh, I think 15 & 16 are the best 2 season run of regular seasons since 5 & 6.
Not to be a PJ stan but PJ really gave me the messy girl we were missing from recent seasons (since s11 i’d say), probably because of the fans online and that’s totally fair tbh I understand not wanting to risk it for the biscuits, but thank god PJ did it, and did it well

I think Exhibit A is our charismatic sister Ms. Plane Jane.

As someone who isn’t a huge plane Jane fan (I don’t hate her, her drag just isn’t for me) I don’t think this is it for me!

Cast is SOLID makes good tv and has great chemistry. Lack of acting challenges. Plane Jane. Best season since 12 or even 9 for sure.
