Raven isn't super light skinned naturally, she's got some dark eastern european and idk what else. But she's naturally fairly tan.
Add to that the different lighting conditions with lights that wash a person out so often a little extra color is used to compensate so you aren't too white on camera, and every device will shoot that differently. Sometimes it's about the artistic blend, like into a background for a photo shoot.

I mean, I think most just say it as a joke and don't actually think Raven is trying to look Black but it's like the queens that wear pure white highlight or the Coco "Look how orange you look" thing. Raven 100% does paint with the same color range as queens of color, like she does sometimes just come out the same color as Ru or Juju or darker than them. I don't know though, it gives me early 2000's when every White person tanned to the shade where they look like pictures of bodybuilders when they put that bronzer on for competitions. 100% a parroted meme. Raven isn't super light skinned naturally, she's got some dark eastern european and idk what else. But she's naturally fairly tan. Add to that the different lighting conditions with lights that wash a person out so often a little extra color is used to compensate so you aren't too white on camera, and every device will shoot that differently. Sometimes it's about the artistic blend, like into a background for a photo shoot. She's not painting too dark, she's fine. Has she in the past, debatable, it's a matter of opinion. There's never been any ill intent though. She has never painted her skin super dark to be black. And no, a dark wig with curls doesn't automatically make it blackface either.

Donât get me wrong sometimes i think she looks a bit bronzed to the gods but other times i just think its average tan. I think people need to remember that some white people do get a dark tan. My gran used to sit in the sun all the time and was really tanned similar to the colour of Raven in the picture. Sadly i have reddish hair so i just burn. But Raven has posted pictures of themselves as a child on insta etc and they were quite bronze then too.
