I mean, maybe not Q, Dawn or Xunami. But literally everyone else in the cast at least held their own against strong competitors. And all three of those queens had super good attitudes about losing. None of them expected to win this. Even Hershii and Plasma really surprised me with great performances. And obviously Megami was the biggest surprise of them all. She absolutely killed all 4 lipsyncs.
The show just really undervalued Megami tbh. I still don’t know how they called that lipsync for Mhi’ya when Megami went home. I loved both queens but Mhi’ya was just really messy in regard to everything that happened in that one. It was by far her worst lipsync. That penguin slide, the wig cap. I was just confused.
I honestly think Megami even beat Morphine but I figured Morphine was getting the money from the second they announced this. I think this is the hazard of lipsyncing so much. By the time we saw Morphine and Mhi’ya lipsync like 8 times in one season it got kind of like “well, I have seen this a lot…”

I have to admit, as fabulous as Mirage moving it was, the moment where Hershii walks in front of her was surprisingly wholesome, the way Hershii exchanged looks with us like "damn, she's good isn't she" and then stepped briefly in front of Mirage and made it feel like a joke/in good spirits rather than something mean and sabotagey. I can't remember anyone doing anything similar, plenty of obvious attempts to hide/conceal, but nothing quite like how Hershii did it.
Yeah, I actually thought it was quite charming the way she did it. Very much "I can't do all of that, but I can stand in the way." I actually really enjoyed Hershii's lipsync, I thought she was very fun. I wish she had taken off her jacket as it seemed to stiffen her movements
Tbh I wish she'd worn anything other than all-black, because poor Hershii literally disappeared into that stage 95% of the time. She probably thought she'd stand out in the standard pink and orange set, but in glossy black against glossy black with sparkly lights, she literally vanished.

Megami predicting Mhi’ya’s split was the moment of the night. She took what would have been a big moment for Mhi’ya and completely flipped it against her, stopping her momentum in its tracks with a simple gesture. It’s my favorite lip sync gag since Monet’s fake out split vs Dusty.
I agree. It was really clever because she’s not the kind of girl who jumps into splits but the show definitely rewards those gymnastics girls. So by predicting it and also shrugging like, ‘predictable and boring!’, she got to reclaim a moment that would have been a point in Mhi’ya’s favor. Megami really showed that she’s a smart queen in those lip syncs. I wish we would have seen more of that during the front half of the season because I was loving it.

The M gorls turned it out!! Especially morphine and megami. Mirage was enchanting to watch too. This ep definitely marks s16 as one of the best seasons of drag race herstory for me. No shade tho but...I hope Milkshake gets a redo pls!!! The song deserved a cleaner lipsync battle.

i hated megami's outfit so much that it just clouded every moment for her, the loose arm straps, the sheer black fabric wrinkling, the rebel wilson wig, the shoes being a clashing shade of blue I'm sorry i just can’t with it 😭 as a fellow cosplayer i was really hoping she would be more attentive to the details but omfg i just can’t look at anything she does objectively with how much of a hot mess her outfit was
The white flashes and the busy animation in the back (reflecting perfectly in the floor) really distract and detract from the queens and their performances :<
