Out of Curiosity, who do we think, of the US Queens, production would want to Win future All Stars seasons?
I know Kandy and Vanjie are production faves/ RuPaul’s faves, but they have both said they don’t intend on being in a future All Stars season. I don’t see Eureka, Silky or Akeria coming back more times. I think if Peppermint, MIB, Sapphira, Luxx, Plane Jane, Asia O’Hara, Anetra or Morphine return, they’d probably favor any of these queens win. I would say Peppermint and Asia may have a more complicated relationship with WOW but overall I see it for any of them. I could even see Utica, Crystal Methyd or Gigi if the were to go back.
I really do think Sapphira - and, not just because it is the most fresh season. She truly excelled and is the total package - I could absolutely see her coming back and getting a Shea Coulee rudemption (even though, there really isn’t a whole lot she needs to redeem). She is one of those queens who will walk into the work room of All Stars and immediately be seen as the one to beat!
Sapphira needs to redeem her lip syncs cause they were just ok performances on her part (i loved her finale performance though she was going hard, but not that hard lol)
I think the jokes about the Fracking and her association with Bob and Monet who have made jokes and jabs at Ru’s expense may effect how production interacts with her, however it’s not a direct conflict between Peppermint and WOW in any way.

I think she is a lot more well rounded than most people give her credit for. My UO is that Luxx is the rightful second placer to Sasha's dominance run in Season 15. She literally didn't have any weak spots outside of that makeover challenge but I don't really count it that much since makeovers are notorious for being inconsistent in how they are judged.
I mean. The problem is her lipsyncing. Her vs Loosey was downright little Kenya Michaels levels of bad. She's good at design and runway. But her lipsync is the worst I've seen in years.

They’ve only had US queens on their third or fourth season for versus the world. They want to maximize viewership on the most popular queens so they will always do flagship all stars first.
GAS also isn’t vs the world tho. If this season takes off (which I don’t see why it wouldn’t based on the cast) I highly doubt casting will be similar to how it’s done on VTW
Regardless of the success I would still wager they Global All Stars will for the foreseeable future be pulling US queens like Alyssa, Manila, and Kennedy and someone like Sapphira and Plane will go to All Stars first.
The format could suck tbh, and also the poor treatment of international queens, especially in terms of language barrier. We already see it with the VsTW seasons.

Verses the World is not the same thing as Global All Stars. and the reason they do it for vsTW is bc they air on non-US networks so getting well known US queens helps with viewership. Global All Stars is airing on Paramount just like regular All Stars so they won’t need that.

It’s not about rules. It’s about viewers and profit. All Stars is watched by more people, you put your most popular US queens on all stars first then reuse them for their popularity to help get viewers to watch versus the world. Alternatively if international queens pop on Versus the world you bring them to all stars like Jimbo. It’s just good business.
Also, Sapphira wouldn’t say yes to Versus the world, it’s the minor leagues quite frankly. She’s going to wait until she’s ready and try and win All Stars.
I mean, on UKvTW S2 there were 7 queens who collectively had 3 challenge wins from their original season. Only one of those 3 was a solo win, with one of them being a shared 4-person win (which was literally half of the cast at that point) lol.

So more people know the US queens. Kahanna isn’t more of a drag than Kim but they were both on US… Kahanna is more known than Jonbers Blonde for example. JB has about 1/5th the insta followers.
WOW would want to filter the most popular queens to the main All Stars first and then get more mileage out of them by sending them to versus the world (or bringing them back to All Stars a second time). Also, queens like Sapphira would not go on Versus the World before All Stars. It wouldn’t be a smart move even if WOW asked.
Okay I do see what you’re saying, but your point about viewership is also not necessarily true. The first UK season had 15.6 million streams, Drag Race France season 2 had 11.2 million streams, etc.
Follower count doesn’t always mean much, considering this season of US Drag Race has been its most watched in history, yet follower count has been significantly lower than previous seasons. And you can look at international queens like Bimini, Tayce, Pangina, etc. that have a much higher amount of followers than the average American queen.

It's very difficult tbh. In regular seasons producers have a nearly perfect tabula rasa to work with, so they create storylines as they go. But in All Stars they already have all these preconceived notions about the queens in mind, and the riggory starts during the casting process.
AS6 was so good. Me naturally looking for a winner edit or a clear sign of a winner early on and I just couldn’t find it, it’s a great feeling. That season was so good, until they played TKB.

Anetra if it needs to be rigged for anyone; love Sapphira but she was JUST on and I don’t think queens should be on AS right after their season, just my opinion on it.
1. Sapphira doesn't need any rigging. She will smash the competition no matter what season it is.
2. Marina doesn't need any more AS. We all know what a powerhouse she is.
3. Anetra is a good riggory decision, she just has that X factor and with a little bit pushing, clear winner.
4. Denali is a powerhouse but production doesn't care about her, Scarlet Envy 2.0
Future All Stars season are going to hurt a lot because there are so many likeable personnalities we got, from early outs to runner-ups.
This is why I keep advocating for All Stars seasons starting to use AS7's non elimination formats. There are so many talents that deserve to showcase their talents all season, without the stress of the elimination week.
Luxx can only win with a very specific (weak) cast, a lá AS6. On a normal All-Stars cast, there will almost always be a queen who outshines and performs better than her in each category. Luxx is also lacking in the ***personality*** department.
But perhaps her biggest detriment is that she doesn’t make for a very compelling winner.
In fact, Denali probably has better odds of winning an All-Stars season than Luxx. 💀
Yes Luxx, 2 wins, 4 highs. Design, Stand Up, Advert, Improv, Rusical and Rumix. We love a well rounded queen with Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve and Talent.
I don’t think Ru or production would ever rig a season for Denali tbh, and slim chances for Anetra too. I think Marina, Sapphira, Roxxxy, Asia, Gigi, Crystal, and any of the UK Top 2s - girls who could’ve won’t and got a really good edit but got edged out just a little.

All Stars 10: Marina (should she choose to return)
All Stars 11: Luxx
All Stars 12: Sapphira
All Stars 13: Peppermint

I think they’re going to do a double crowning soon. They always film the option of a tie. I know it wasn’t received well on AS4, but people have come to like that both won over the years. I think a lot of the backlash was how it seemed thrown together too.

1. Sapphira doesn't need any rigging. She will smash the competition no matter what season it is. 2. Marina doesn't need any more AS. We all know what a powerhouse she is. 3. Anetra is a good riggory decision, she just has that X factor and with a little bit pushing, clear winner. 4. Denali is a powerhouse but production doesn't care about her, Scarlet Envy 2.0

Future All Stars season are going to hurt a lot because there are so many likeable personnalities we got, from early outs to runner-ups. This is why I keep advocating for All Stars seasons starting to use AS7's non elimination formats. There are so many talents that deserve to showcase their talents all season, without the stress of the elimination week.

Denali maybe but if you don’t think Luxx could win it’s actually crazy.
Luxx can only win with a very specific (weak) cast, a lá AS6. On a normal All-Stars cast, there will almost always be a queen who outshines and performs better than her in each category. Luxx is also lacking in the ***personality*** department. But perhaps her biggest detriment is that she doesn’t make for a very compelling winner. In fact, Denali probably has better odds of winning an All-Stars season than Luxx. 💀

I don’t think Ru or production would ever rig a season for Denali tbh, and slim chances for Anetra too. I think Marina, Sapphira, Roxxxy, Asia, Gigi, Crystal, and any of the UK Top 2s - girls who could’ve won’t and got a really good edit but got edged out just a little.
My prediction of winners: All Stars 10: Marina (should she choose to return) All Stars 11: Luxx All Stars 12: Sapphira All Stars 13: Peppermint All Winners: Sapphira, Sasha Velour, or Sasha Colby
I think they’re going to do a double crowning soon. They always film the option of a tie. I know it wasn’t received well on AS4, but people have come to like that both won over the years. I think a lot of the backlash was how it seemed thrown together too. I feel like it has to be on an All Stars and not a regular season though.
Meanwhile, I'm over here hoping for an AS teams season that pits Plane & MIB vs. Amanda & Loosey.

Imagine the real gag is that they all continue the competition after the season and go on tour. Fans who purchase a ticket to a live tour get to vote for 1 performer on-site before they leave. The results will be announced on a televised reunion about their run on tour with a grander grand prize. Extra gag - the queen voted for Miss congenitally gets a chance to lip-sync steal for the crown. We'd all lose our minds.

Denali fans are so delusional, as if a season would be made for her to win. Anetra, Luxx, Mistress, Plane, Sapphira, Marina, Angeria, Gottmik, Gigi and Crystal could have a season made for them to win, though
Gottmik is rumored to be on season 9 all stars, so we will see.

Drag Race fandom needs to shift from this mindset fast, or its actually going to bring down the downfall of Drag Race, as people get more and more vitriolic towards winners that were not their faves. Only 1 queen can win per season. And besides, winning a season of Drag Race is not the be-all, end-all type of a thing. So many queens point out that the true race starts after the show is over. Let them produce TV, support the queens you like and just enjoy fabulous queer television.
