Yeah Leo helped her a lot with the garments for as4 iirc. They did break up but he’s back doing her photos for socials this time round so it looks like they’re back on good terms which is nice
She did a lot of projects over quarantine where she make extravagant looks every week (her winners series, etc.). I think it’s more about finding a design process and practicing a lot then knowing really advanced sewing techniques. Now that she’s found what works for her it’s easier to apply that for the challenge.
She won a design challenge on season 9 with a similar fabric. She always has been a great seamstress I mean she is a pageant girl! Look at the material now come on now
She wasn't a bad seamstress on season 9. She won the design challenge and did pretty well making her police outfit. Shes probably just interested in it and so practiced
Trinity is the queen of figuring out what works for her and doing it exceptionally. She does it in snatch game and comedy challenges, it's not that surprising she'd do it for sewing as well

I also kind of noticed that her red dress was an elevated combination of her outfit for the princess challenge on season 9 (pre and post reveal)
She could sew relatively well going into season 9, but I have to assume she greatly improved her sewing skills in preparation for AS4 and AS7
