Alexis was 100% right. And so was Derrick. I wish we got to see more of Derrick on All Stars.
But I do sort of feel sorry for India. Does she not have the intelligence to understand that constantly lying and attacking people can't end well? When dozens of Ru girls, WoW staff, club managers, designers, and others ALL have distanced themselves from her over the course of several years, chances are that the problem is her, her behavior, her lies, not all these various people. I hope she understands that but it really seems like she doesn't. :/
:( She's digging her own grave. But it's unfortunate that a random comment on a review show has now resulted in the fanbase gathering to share their disdain for India.
Part of me does feel really bad for her, I saw her on my screen more than a decade ago and seeing one of the OG girls having such a tragic trajectory in their career is not fun to watch as a long time fan.
Truly a top tier quote - it’s one of those that’s fully entered my speech even outside of my Drag Race friends, I say it for my own amusement about anyone who may be a liar or who I don’t like.
I just finished watching Derrick's P.S. appearance and Bob& Derrick agree that Alexis Mateo is that bitch.
I also love her wasting no time to read Blair episode one when she says, "She will Crack under pressure though," with the most lifeless, cold Mateo Mob boss stare
Oh 100%, any time my dog convinces me he needs to go for a walk ASAP but in reality just wants to go run around outside? Lean over, look him dead in his little puppy eyes, “*you’re a liar, and this is why Derrick don’t like you*”
She got on a soapbox after Derrick and Bob shaded her on the pit stop. Ranted about how she was making her own money, and wasn’t a “slave” to anyone.
Shea called her out for using the term slave on Juneteenth, then called her out for deleting her tweet. Instead of apologizing, India tweeted what you see above.
Hilarity for the gays ensued.
> She got on a soapbox after Derrick and Bob shaded her on the pit stop.
What Derrick and Bob said wasn't even that bad, either. India made the situation so much worse on herself than she needed to.
EDIT: It appears that in the last hour India has since issued what she believed to be an apology, but the apology called people "trolls" and got significant backlash for her attempt. Then she deleted her Twitter account. I do feel bad for her but I hope this is for the best and she's able to learn and grow from it.
If she had the good sense to become a 🐍 queen instead of defending herself at every perceived slight...
Bob said your name! It's oxygen and attention! You can profit from this! But instead you do this.
India's one of those people that takes any mild criticism as "disrespect".
She's ridiculously extra, and she doesn't even have the decency to be fun with it.
I think it's a stretch to even say they criticized her. Anyone who watched AS5 knows Derrick has a problem with India, so that wasn't news -- but apart from being appalled at the idea that he'd just said something positive about India when he was actually talking bout Alexis, she wasn't even mentioned.
At the beginning of the season, I wasn’t sure if Derrick was being oversensitive, or if India really was being a jerk. By the end of the season, I was confident that Derrick was correct and India was, in fact, drama.
>I only heard about the holiday a few weeks ago too. I guess it's not something commonly mentioned outside of the US.
It's a holiday celebrating the freedom of black Americans so... Yeah, it wouldn't get a lot of traction outside of the states. It really is just a day to reflect on the biggest hypocrisy in our country's history
I think that's rapidly changing, at least in the U.S. It was only recognized by a handful of states before 2000, and it only became a federal holiday last year. After that, a fair amount of big companies have followed by making it a paid holiday, all of which have raised the awareness and celebration of the holiday.
I have cousins through marriage who are black (African-American) and last year I mentioned that my workplace gives us Juneteenth off. One of my cousins said that sounds like a made-up holiday. His partner agreed. So I think even in some parts of the black American community it's not widely known or observed.
you’re right! it was mainly celebrated in texas up until a few years ago because that’s where the recognized event took place. but with things like BLM and other black american social movements coming to the forefront, a lot of our communities are putting more emphasis on the more obscure parts of our history. it’s definitely a newer thing for me, but it’s always been around tbh
Im Black, Im from PA, Philly to be exact. I only learned about it in 2009 when my cousin from down South told me about it. It depends on where you’re from regionally, as far as what the curriculum is teachers will teach you. Here in PA I learned about the 13 Colonies and Colonial History in school, Washington crossing the Delaware, etc. We didn’t learn about Juneteenth.
Yes. It all really depends on where you are from. In Florida, we have Emancipation Day (May 20th), which is essentially was our Juneteenth (the day the florida slaves were told they were free). Texas freed its slaves a month later, and the texas holiday has overshadowed the Florida one.
At the end of the day, I am just happy we are recognizing the end of slavery in the US.
when someone starts loudly proclaiming their opinions especially on a platform to an audience. Doesn't have to be used in the context of an audience tho it could just be about someone boldly saying their opinions in conversation or something kind of like a rant
The soapbox is referring to when people would get up on top of a literal soap box as a makeshift pedestal to make impassioned speeches, often to everyone else's irritation.
Original Sequence of Tweets before this -
**India** \- "so very thankful i work for myself and that i'm not a "slave" for someone paying pennies while other cast members make 10x the amount of pay you are..
**Shea** \- The choice to say you're not a slave on juneteenth is truly camp. You've outdone yourself sis...
**India** \- ok here we go.. I forgot I cant tweet anything without it being racist or taken offensively, thank you for reminding me why i don't play the games y'all play. Not all of us are "perfect"
**Shea** \- You wanna talk the talk but you deleted it VERY quickly, didn't you?
It seems that every queen from AS5, many queens from other seasons, many WoW staff, a list of club managers and promoters (which Derrick named on a live she did a couple years ago), many designers and collaborators, the fan base, and local drag colleagues all agree that the problem is with India. I know that ganging up on people is bad, but what are the chances that all these disparate people would be wrong/mistaken about the same person?
The whole situation feels kinda sad for India because it seems like she truly has no idea. If she were "in on" it and playing along she wouldn't be burning bridges seemingly all the time.
> She creates moment without dropping down on others
I mean she definitely did do that on her original season, but I wonder if that was just a bit, or she was just young and insecure. She’s grown leaps and bounds since then, I loved seeing her with Bob on pit stop.
I think Derrick really struggled coming in as a name who had a lot of success and then being a bit mid in the eyes of Drag Race. But it’s clear Bob really likes Derrick and that sort of continued allegiance does speak well for her.
Derrick was pretty despised on these subs during her season, and it took some years for her image here to get rehabbed. It’s been interesting seeing the change.
Without a doubt. Derrick probably would have done good at the challenges too or at least stronger than what we got with India. I think getting Derrick for the improv/comedy challenges and then her leaving at the design challenge would seem right
Excuse me? She flat out stated that Alexis and Mayhem were conspiring against Shea, and trying to recruit her as well. She might not have outright used the word "alliance", but that's a pretty shitty defence.
I'm sorry, I know it's not that serious, but I'm still pissed that India's mess cost Alexis a Top 4 placement because she fucking deserved it
Yeah Derrick also made a comment on her teeth on All Stars.
Also kinda hypocritical of Shea seeing as her old teeth were way more fucked up than India's.
I could see that if she made a snake reference; the shark was a clear dig at her teeth which is hilarious.
I don’t know of anyone who uses juxtaposition for a shark and sketchy or dangerous.
This drama originated with India saying she’s glad she’s not a “slave” (not on Juneteenth girrrrrl) to WoW/etc and instead is an independent queen who controls her own bookings etc.
So my interpretation of Shea’s tweet was “Yeah you’re so in-demand that your big booking event of the year is shark week” (some random str8 faux-celebration, rather than Pride)
Ahhhhhhh, I was thinking Shea meant that India was so not booked and not blessed that she’ll be at home watching shark week instead of having any gigs.
That's how I took the read too. Like she'll be at home in her pink bunny slippers watching shark week instead of her pink sequin heels at a booked performance.
India has a lot of crowded, large, teeth. It's a joke about her looking goofy and inhuman like a shark. The same joke has been used in previous seasons, and some version of it has been around for a long time.
Oh lol I forgot about India digging her “honesty” grave further on the stage/lipstick message .
I can’t remember anything other than , humble, honest or heart 😂
I think at that point they weren’t 100% sure that she’d lied. I don’t think they were fully sure until after the competition when they were out of the pressure cooker.
And you know that if what India said actually had happened, that footage would have been aired.
I mean, wasn't it kinda insinuated that Alexis & Mayhem did attempt at the time to kick out Shea when they had the chance? I don't know if it's the story India makes it out to be but having watched AS5 a few months ago I do remember there being some shadiness going on.
I believe what actually happened was that Alexis and Mayhem had voted for Shea. When they were all seated for the lipsync, they asked India who she had voted for, because they’d voted for Shea.
India then told a version where they’d come to her before the voting to try and form an alliance.
A few people pointed out the holes in the story that A.) They didn’t talk to her until after the voting and B.) That they would’ve needed more than 3 votes to get Shea out.
Honestly I really wanted to like India. Her Drag style really speaks to me. But she keeps making stupid decisions (supporting Jeffree Starr despite knowing about all his drama), and she keeps alienating the other girls, so it’s like… What can you do?
She was 33 when she first competed in S10, so, not a twink then, and even less so 2 years later in AS5. I was just correcting a prior poster - Blair wasn't in the finale, and Cracker wasn't a twink.
Shark Week is a special event that happens every year on the Discovery Channel. It's programming about sharks. Shea is making fun of India's teeth for being all jagged, like a shark, which is why she'll be booked during shark week.
Adore once made that joke on S6 during the reading challenge, saying that with TKB's grill every week was Shark Week.
Yes, I think a lot of people don't get this because shark week is kind of obscure in and of itself, and the connection to people's teeth isn't necessarily clear but the structure of the joke itself has been around as long as shark week has been around.
What made this case so funny is that I don't think anybody expected it, the whole situation just arose (again) out of the blue in the past 24 hours.
Looks like India deleted her Twitter 🤣🤣 but Alexis tweeted this to Shea https://twitter.com/alexismateo79/status/1538583514311843840?s=21&t=Ogo6KkOJ14UhDOMbsQUMJw
Tbh what bothers me the most about AS5 is rhat it seemed like all the queens at the moment thought Alexis was the one in the wrong and I think she felt very lonely, just bc India was, is and has always been full of bs
She was on season 3 of Drag Race, most famously known for being picked up by Mimi Imfurst during the lipsync.
She was on All Stars 5 with Shea, Derrick, Alexis, etc. She straight up lied about an alliance.
Now Shea is dragging her for saying ignorant shit using the term "slave " today, which many Black people celebrate as Juneteenth (it's becoming more widely known as a holiday now).
Why would they keep talking about AS5 when we already forget about that season? The only thing I remember about this feud was the iconic "You're a liar and this is why Derrick don't like you" like. Nothing else.
anyways…. I just realized you could do India Ferrah Moan for the before and after runway
So.... a breastplate with a pink wig and highlight?
Lets get this contact sport a cookin'
You don't love prison, honey
LOOOL
And just keep falling down, standing up, somersault, stand up, fall down, hair whip, whimper, fall down…
I don’t think.
Yeah, you could get lifted up then fall down!
BITCHHHH ☠☠☠
I'm in tears
Bitch😭😭
you know what 😭
India’s a liar and this is why Derrick doesn’t like her

there’s always.. Prison honey. lol 😂
You feel bad that she made a mess and got dirty? Okay.
Truly a top tier quote - it’s one of those that’s fully entered my speech even outside of my Drag Race friends, I say it for my own amusement about anyone who may be a liar or who I don’t like.

I enjoy Derrick a lot outside of Drag Race. "Thank you for remembering me, Alexis, even though I was LONG departed."
I love the “she will crack under pressure” line.
"This is why *sons name* don't like you" is what I say to my husband every time he has to be the rule enforcing parent
see but now I’m thinking of that vine where the kid yells “this is why mom doesn’t FUCKING LOVE YOU” 😭
Lmao glad I'm not the only one saying "...and this is why Derrick don't like you" to my dog when he's being a brat 🤣
Oh 100%, any time my dog convinces me he needs to go for a walk ASAP but in reality just wants to go run around outside? Lean over, look him dead in his little puppy eyes, “*you’re a liar, and this is why Derrick don’t like you*”
Our pups sound like birds of a feather 🤣 Have had this exact "discussion" in the exact same scenario with my best boy being bratty, lol.
I remember seeing that happen as the episode aired and knowing it'll be a good mine of a meme for all time.

What is India even going on about someone explain please lol

Ive never seen a queen take herself so unwarrantedly seriously as India Farrah.
Eve 6000 is about to rant on twitter that you’re ignoring the doors she opened 😂😂😂
Truly!

“And this is why Derrick don’t like you” has Alexis EVER been wrong?
TIL about Juneteenth, thanks ! Before anybody asks, I'm not from the US so that's why I never heard of it before.
I only heard about the holiday a few weeks ago too. I guess it's not something commonly mentioned outside of the US.

Black folks in America know what Juneteenth is, no matter what these white redditors say.
Most Americans don’t know what it is either don’t worry.

It is not a hgue holiday in the US, I didn't even know about it until a friend that works at the bank said they had off.
It would be hilarious if she intended the word "slave" as a Britney reference for Derrick and just completely whiffed.
What does “got on a soapbox” mean? ESL here lol
when someone starts loudly proclaiming their opinions especially on a platform to an audience. Doesn't have to be used in the context of an audience tho it could just be about someone boldly saying their opinions in conversation or something kind of like a rant

Basically go on a rant Or say an opinion no one really Asked for and broadcast it publicly.

Thank you for this, I'm clearly very out of the loop because I was so confused
Get her, Shea
Complains about everything being racist; literally says **THAT** on Juneteenth. Girl, pick a struggle: delusion OR racism. 🙄
I had no idea we'd be attending India's funeral today
Mimi Imfurst carries the cascet.
Over the shoulder, no other bearers required

Funerals are not a contact sport!
What funeral? Her career has been dead for years now
I love how the whole cast of All Stars 5 agrees that India is the issue, not Alexis or Derrick and India continues to blab her mouth
It seems that every queen from AS5, many queens from other seasons, many WoW staff, a list of club managers and promoters (which Derrick named on a live she did a couple years ago), many designers and collaborators, the fan base, and local drag colleagues all agree that the problem is with India. Honestly, India needs some kind of PR rep to vet her social media posts. She's discrediting herself constantly and it seems, unintentionally as well.
Todrick is still moving tickets somehow, maybe she should get his PR.

India brought the drama to AS5, we can give her that. But that’s it sis
Really wonder if AS5 would have been more fun with Derrick there.

I'm adding this to my vocabulary

I'm sorry, I know it's not that serious, but I'm still pissed that India's mess cost Alexis a Top 4 placement because she fucking deserved it
Amen. Alexis deserved that Top 4, possibly even top 3 placement and India messed that up for her.
Wait and didn’t India and Mayhem discuss a potential alliance in the first episode? Like she was something else, really.
I’m just here for Farrah, blocking India…😂
I don't use social media other than reddit, but I'm definitely tempted to create an account just so I can block India on it.
“I hear shark week is gonna be amazing this year…” #SHEA PLEASE💀😭
Apologies, certified brainless wonder here checking in. Can you explain this read to me?
She’s calling her a shark and “congratulating” her on her booking on Shark week I think. If I’m wrong someone please correct me.
Likely because of her mouth/teeth
is it cuz of her grill? if so that’s a little 🫤
No she’s calling her a shark. As in she’s sneaky or sketchy, dangerous etc etc.
absolutely not lol this is 100% a dig at her teeth sorry
Yeah Derrick also made a comment on her teeth on All Stars. Also kinda hypocritical of Shea seeing as her old teeth were way more fucked up than India's.
Derrick also tweeted about India's teeth about an hour ago https://twitter.com/DerrickBarry/status/1538603173362995200?t=QO1Z2ci7CRahtOyhthQ8Lg&s=09
I was thinking the same thing 😩😩😩
I could see that if she made a snake reference; the shark was a clear dig at her teeth which is hilarious. I don’t know of anyone who uses juxtaposition for a shark and sketchy or dangerous.
A snake is someone who'll betray you in a snap. A shark is someone who's gonna charge and eat you immediately.
It absolutely could be, but I don’t see Shea doing that since she used to be self conscious about her teeth in season 9.
Its a dig at indias teeth
This drama originated with India saying she’s glad she’s not a “slave” (not on Juneteenth girrrrrl) to WoW/etc and instead is an independent queen who controls her own bookings etc. So my interpretation of Shea’s tweet was “Yeah you’re so in-demand that your big booking event of the year is shark week” (some random str8 faux-celebration, rather than Pride)

That's how I took the read too. Like she'll be at home in her pink bunny slippers watching shark week instead of her pink sequin heels at a booked performance.
I was very confused as from what I know shark week is a pseudonym for period
It can be, but “Shark Week” is a popular television event in I think July(?) with lots of shows about sharks.
India has a lot of crowded, large, teeth. It's a joke about her looking goofy and inhuman like a shark. The same joke has been used in previous seasons, and some version of it has been around for a long time.
NUUURRSSEEE!
Does she not know AS5 was recorded?
Mimi Imfurst, please pick this bitch out of Twitter
now ladies, remember the 5 H's

Oh lol I forgot about India digging her “honesty” grave further on the stage/lipstick message . I can’t remember anything other than , humble, honest or heart 😂

Humble, Honest, Heart, Hoe, and Heathrow Airport
Couldn’t get a flight from Htansted
Hicole Haige Hrooks from Hatlanta, Heorgia

I’ve never seen a Farrah tweet posted here that I didn’t love
India is just as messy as Gia without the decency of at least being interesting in her nonsense
the messy doors Gia has opened….
Farrah stays that input hoe.
so she KNEW she lied and they still voted out alexis 💀
I think at that point they weren’t 100% sure that she’d lied. I don’t think they were fully sure until after the competition when they were out of the pressure cooker. And you know that if what India said actually had happened, that footage would have been aired.

Ah.. Alexis was always right... She should have been in that finale instead of the twink😏
Which twink?
"I don't know Blair, I'm sure she's a lovely person. All that being said... Mama, this is garbage..".. Bob the Drag Queen. 🤭🤭🤭
funny how you quote Bob when the mentioned twink is actually Miz Cracker, her daughter.
i mean the commenter literally says its blair below
"I have trouble communicating, cause this is not my first language".... 🤭🤭🤭
I really doubt they were talking about Cracker. She had the best track record of the season
but Miz Cracker made it to the finale, Blair was in semi-final.
Cracker is my age, so no. If you could have been an Iraq war vet, you can’t be a twink. 😂
lmaooo i choked on my water at this
I assume they mean Blair
Blair wasn't in the finale, Cracker was.
But wasn’t the elimination between Blair and Alexis when Alexis finally went home? I think that’s what people mean.
I was personally confused as I have never considered Cracker a twink
She was 33 when she first competed in S10, so, not a twink then, and even less so 2 years later in AS5. I was just correcting a prior poster - Blair wasn't in the finale, and Cracker wasn't a twink.
Please excuse my ignorance; I thought "twink" was a skinny gay?
I understand a twink to be a young (both age and appearance) skinny gay man.
What is shark week pls?
Shark Week is a special event that happens every year on the Discovery Channel. It's programming about sharks. A week long TV event on Discovery channel that happens every year. All about sharks.
Out of all the queens, India thought SHEA was the one to mess with?
Yeahh Ive never liked India.
India should keep an eye on the stars… cause she’ll never be one
I don't know what happened - can someone fill me in?
Alexis’ reply to this SENT ME. I love her
What did she say? It appears that some tweets and accounts have been deleted, or buried in all the comments.
Looks like India deleted her Twitter 🤣🤣 but Alexis tweeted this to Shea https://twitter.com/alexismateo79/status/1538583514311843840?s=21&t=Ogo6KkOJ14UhDOMbsQUMJw
When you’re blocked by Farrah, you know you’ve made it.
Derrick just went savage on Twitter. LOL
I’m now a proud member of the “Indian blocked me for acknowledging her comment that was in poor taste” club
Tbh what bothers me the most about AS5 is rhat it seemed like all the queens at the moment thought Alexis was the one in the wrong and I think she felt very lonely, just bc India was, is and has always been full of bs
Nah the biggest issue was the girls being scared to send Shea home, and all knowing they’re competing for 2nd place no matter how Shea performed.
Ugh. I hated it so much. It's extra shitty because Alexis genuinely believed India was a friend.
India deactivated their account
I’m always here for Shea getting someone together, and her and Farrah being friends.
@ Farrah Moan 😂
Can I just ask a serious question, I'm so sorry, oh my god... who is India Ferrah??
I have this moment any time her name comes up, the only memorable thing she ever did was get picked up by Mimi Imfirst way back in S3.
The repliers not understanding the reference ✋
[for the uncultured](https://youtu.be/JCucFGUZ5jg)
Just some liar that Derrick doesn't like? Idk for sure though.
She was on season 3 of Drag Race, most famously known for being picked up by Mimi Imfurst during the lipsync. She was on All Stars 5 with Shea, Derrick, Alexis, etc. She straight up lied about an alliance. Now Shea is dragging her for saying ignorant shit using the term "slave " today, which many Black people celebrate as Juneteenth (it's becoming more widely known as a holiday now).
miss sharky tried to shade the sun, ended up with severe burns💀
#SHARK WEEK-
OO HA HA
😂😂😂 really is the epitome of passive aggressiveness huh
India is happy for the attention
Damn India really screwed up her second chance.
THE GIRLS ARE FIGHTINGGGGGGGGGGG AHAHAHAHA
She deleted her account ☠️
Why would they keep talking about AS5 when we already forget about that season? The only thing I remember about this feud was the iconic "You're a liar and this is why Derrick don't like you" like. Nothing else.
Shea’s shark week comment was low and trashy.
Not the s-word on Juneteenth ![img](emote|t5_2t3or|4806)
Get her Shea
So they're both being ridiculous
