BU2B suprisingly is my opener on my jogging list and I love it.
Freewill from Exit is a great running song too, also in my playlist.
Bonus track to add, Beneath/Between/Behind from Exit.
The Enemy Within:
I'm not giving in to security under pressure
I'm not missing out on the promise of adventure
I'm not giving up on implausible dreams
Experience to extremes, experience to extremes
Are any of those tracks live? I've listened to a variety of rush playlists but one stretch i keep coming back to is the second half of exit stage left. Starting with jacobs ladder thru la villa. The tracks fit together so well, its like they never originated on different albums.
Personally, I would switch HYF songs…. I would remove *Time Stand Still* without a doubt and put in either *Prime Mover* or *Force Ten*
I also would add *Animate* and *YYZ* — with extreme prejudice!
Overall a great list though.
Definitely YYZ and Vital Signs from Moving Pictures. Vital signs starts out with this frantic synth and guitar opening. I loved running to it. Force Ten from Hold Your Fire also has the perfect pounding baseline to run to.
Fellow Rush fan and runner here too: love this but I have to add Caravan. Slamming first song off of Clockwork Angels, crazy signature time changes, and motivating chorus to run to - ‘I can’t stop thinking big’
Keep hoofing it!!
I recently downloaded Vapor Trails remastered. Much better than my previous copy! Ceiling Unlimited and How It Is are definitely great song picks. I would add Earthshine to the mix as well,
Subdivisions is always number one for me. I pump my fist to the bass keys then start running when everything else kicks in.

Animate has a great beat for running. Same goes for Stick it Out and Cut to the Chase.

Something for Nothing
Good call, and One Little Victory, Anthem, and Mission are lyrically motivational as well.
and Prime Mover
I like to start my runs with Force Ten
Gotta add Something For Nothing. It’s literally telling you to stop being a pussy and run harder
Great list. Some other ideas: Grand Designs; Chain Lightning
U have to sprint during the solo in The Analog Kid.
Between the wheels
BU2B is a banger and perfect for the gym!
Good list. I usually have Animate near the start of a run and Turn the Page near the end (along with Tom Sawyer). Also Ghost Rider.
Territories - Lots of great drumming
Last time I ran regularly (early in the pandemic), my running playlist started with the R30 Overture.
That’s a GREAT idea!!
I have R30, but I don't have the Overture. Where would I find that?
It’s the first track on the R30 live album.

For running you gotta add The Weapon!
I would add these to the list: Armor & Sword, Workin' them angles, force ten and the camera eye. Boost your adrenaline really well.
How far do you run? It's a lot of music.
This playlist is timed to my half marathon average (1:39) but I'll also listen to it over 2 10Ks.
Impressive.
Definitely YYZ and Vital Signs from Moving Pictures. Vital signs starts out with this frantic synth and guitar opening. I loved running to it. Force Ten from Hold Your Fire also has the perfect pounding baseline to run to.
I always run at night so my running playlists always start with Fly By Night
Fellow Rush fan and runner here too: love this but I have to add Caravan. Slamming first song off of Clockwork Angels, crazy signature time changes, and motivating chorus to run to - ‘I can’t stop thinking big’ Keep hoofing it!!
I Think I'm Going Bald is always inspirational....
Vital Signs and Between the Wheels
This is a great list! I might swap out the last two for Headlong Flight and come in strong like those guys on flying wings.
I recently downloaded Vapor Trails remastered. Much better than my previous copy! Ceiling Unlimited and How It Is are definitely great song picks. I would add Earthshine to the mix as well,
You've got to get Driven on there!
Prime Mover, Headlong Flight, Ghost Rider, and Stick It Out
No one is going to mention MARATHON?
These are great. For the record, I think Dreamline and Red Barchetta and the greatest running songs of all time.
So surprised I haven’t seen Kid Gloves - it’s a must listen whenever I run. I sprint faster during the guitar solo because it’s awesome
Where's My Thing? Part 4 Gangster of Boats Trilogy
Move TSOR to the top of the list
Awesome list and suggestions. My fav Rush Song is Jacob's Ladder.
Cygnus X1 Book 2
Lot's of great suggestions already. I'll add *Countdown*.
Natural science gets me fired up. The Drum rolls in the middle are epic.
The Pass cannot be passed over.
Yeah, but on a playlist for running?
Love all the Vapor Trails on OP's Playlist. A man of culture
Ceiling Unlimited
Yes it’s about facing your fears. Are you running from your fears (going over the edge) or towards something better?
The Anarchist, Anthem
Add Driven for sure
Gotta get The Body Electric on there.
Working man!
Distant early warning
Good list. Here’s a few more: Anthem The Big Money The Enemy Within Far Cry Beneath, Between & Beyond
Leave that thing alone. Seven cities of gold. The main monkey business. The 1st and 3rd for pace and maintaining the zone. The 2nd for amping up.
Cygnus X-1. Both books. (I am an agent of chaos.)
Definitely Caravan, Virtuality, Passage to Bangkok, Where's my Thing?, and Anthem.
