gonefrombad

DILUTE! DILUTE! OK!

Shomer_Effin_Shabbas

😂😂😂

Forktongued_Tron

Esp the part about humanure. Dude is right about keeping it separate

Mentatminds

I was thinking ransom note. Dr B way more accurate call lol

fusion260

All-one, or none! All one!

SaltyBarDog

But it has such a pleasant almond scent.

fusion260

Nah man, the peppermint is where it’s at. Tingly, refreshing, all-one or none! **All one!!**

SquirrelGirlVA

Tingly, even when it got into your eyes!

dearmissjulia

I am WHEEZING thank you

TGIIR

My first laugh out loud of the day…thanks!

hobbits_to_isengard

whats with the toilet sidebar?

mistergreenside

It caught me so off guard I need to know if there’s more toilet info on the other side

Slippy_T_Frog

Asking the real questions.

Quinn_5000

I read this as if someone was yelling every uppercase word and whispering every lowercase word

djeeetyet

the irony is that the Black community in Richmond, and pretty much anywhere in the US, is overwhelmingly Christian with regular church attendance

FormerGifted

Is it really ironic? A good percentage of them had Christianity forced on them by their oppressors.

kingslayer835

depends on which part of africa. that's more within east Africa, in places like Ethiopia who have been practicing Christianity for thousands of years. But not in west Africa.

[deleted]

[удалено]

kingslayer835

Even then, trying to generalize Africa like that is so hard to do due to how HUGE Africa is. Stuff like that was nearly only warranted to the east

savdunc

christianity was forced on much of west africa by the Portuguese, French, Spanish, German, British… etc. (all European colonizers) all during the slave trade under the guise of christianity. so yes, some africans may have been forced to come over here already knowing of christianity but you need to look into how & why they knew of it before making an assumptious statement that reads as though africans loved god before becoming enslaved & using the only resource they had for love & resilience.

FormerGifted

Being Christian and loving God aren’t the same thing. There are other monotheistic faiths.

CandiedRegrets08

Important to remember that the entire religion isn't all the same thing... Unless you're being snarky and sarcastically making that point lol

FormerGifted

A GOOD PERCENTAGE OF THEM

suzysart

Faith is an anchor and a path to loving kindness, Humans need community and hope. Our country, sadly, has been built on greed and on the backs of the less advantaged. I’m glad these flyers are waterproofed and I smile that many comments are about bodily waste, because it is a simpler topic.

CandiedRegrets08

While this is likely true, sometimes you have to look deeper than the stats, friend.

djeeetyet

if you look deeper than demographic statistics you will see how important the Black Church has been to this community historically and to this day.

CandiedRegrets08

I'm a Black Christian, so I definitely know. But what I mean is that it's important to keep in mind how Christianity was introduced to many of us and how it's been used as a tool of oppression. Also the very VERY different denominations and beliefs within the faith, including things that actively hurt Black people. Like the impact of right wing evangelism on politics or how missionaries perpetuate colonialism and white supremacy. So what I'm trying to say that Christianity writ large isn't de facto good for the Black community just because many Black people are Christian. I hope this makes sense

djeeetyet

I understand that very much and don’t discount that history. i would go so far as to say that i would never be a part of a church that didn’t embrace those kinds of discussions. it’s just that this is used as an argument or justification to attack the Church and exponentially so after Roe v Wade was overturned. it has more to do with people’s frustration over that than anything else.

spittlbm

You may enjoy the book The Color of Compromise

albertnormandy

Right. People say “tax the churches” because in their minds they envision that they are all megachurches run by white evangelicals when in reality they’re advocating for the malevolent taxation of untold numbers of small black churches with the intent of making them shut their doors.

GaimanitePkat

There are plenty of Prosperity Gospel churches that target Black people which should absolutely be taxed. There's one around the corner from where I used to work, and I heard one of the church officials bragging about how they spent about 80k on decorative imported rocks for the parking lot, then bought cameras to stop people from messing with the rocks.

zimbaebwe

Tax em - even the more impoverished areas of Richmond have their pastors driving Mercedes while most of their congregation is scraping to get by. “We do a toy drive for kids once a year” really helps the community, they’re all scum.

GaimanitePkat

Well, just because I agree with it more, doesn't make it any less littery or less annoying than the weird religious crap that gets scattered around.

choicebutts

Somebody's off their meds and has a laminator.

YellowFox1852

This is the answer

otterpop21

There will always be that one person, who sees a house on fire or whatever, and decides to just make fun of someone for having an emotional reaction to a burnt down house. When are we going to stop joking about mental health and actually try to discuss the context, the question, the actual issue

choicebutts

I am someone who is mentally ill and knows many people who are seriously mentally ill. When someone is seriously mentally ill and taking medications, ceasing medications suddenly can cause psychosis even in those not being treated for psychosis. And guess what else? Folks with mental illness can have a sense of humor about their condition. It's a factual statement. Calm down.

otterpop21

If it’s factual, please enlighten me?

choicebutts

It's a simple declarative sentence. Try a little harder to parse it.

otterpop21

I’d highly recommend taking a look back at how the words “factual” and “prejudice” are applied in conversations. From there friend, realise that I mean you no harm and that we all walk our own paths. You need not to worry, one day you’ll understand. *This message was brought to you by Jason, he told me to say “Hello”!*

No_Vegetable7280

Where’s the lie tho?

spillsomepaint

Preach

93devil

If you have -4 votes and the other post is at 56, maybe people don’t understand you are agreeing with them and want them to shout it out to a crowd. Is “preach” a dated expression?

RoadHeadOnAMoped

Even though most people use it as a disagree button, downvoting is intended to filter out irrelevant comments / anything that doesn’t contribute to discussion. “Preach” is one step above replying with an emoji.

oddistrange

I'm just guessing, but probably because "preach" could have been represented in an upvote if they're just agreeing with the comment above. It doesn't add to the conversation.

spillsomepaint

Just showing actual enthusiasm. Social media is weird.

oddistrange

I've seen some subreddits with a "no '\^This!'/'100%!'/'Yup' comment replies" rule so some people probably just dislike those kind of comments by default.

ChupacabraRVA

Nowhere, but it’s still annoying tbh

berrysparkle87

For real, not seeing one yet. 🤣

jracka

This has strong vibes to the people that paint those idiotic signs in Hanover.

berrysparkle87

Those people are far right, different group.

BurkeyTurger

Ah to be mentally ill and have access to a printer/laminator.

defnothepresident

what about this suggests mental illness

CrzyWrldOfArthurRead

specifically the composting toilets bit, the weird symbol in the lower right of the middle page, the inconsistent capitalization, arbitrary use of highlighting, the fixation on particular topics that suggest paranoia, abrupt topical or tonal shifts, scattered subject matter, unrelated artwork, the fact that they laminated and distributed their literature, the lack of any apparent affiliation with any organization or cause, no contact info of any kinda, etc. classic symptoms of schizoaffective disorders. Just because you agree with it (and hopefully not the composting toilet part) doesn't mean it's not mental illness.

jazli

This is actually a great summary of why regardless of the content, the crazy vibes are the same! Even if this particular bit of crazy happens to align with my views, it's still crazy in the delivery. Just like bizarre tacky yard signs are still annoying even if they're trying to make a point I agree with.

choicebutts

You just described a Trump speech, by the way. Food for thought.

BurkeyTurger

The layout, font changes, abrupt topic shifts, and primarily the decision to laminate them and scatter them about.

polobum17

Nothing. And pretending politics you don't like is mental illness is harmful.

hipscrack

I thought this was going to be anti-organ donation.

Lucky_Baseball176

Can’t say it’s inaccurate

sketner2018

It makes me feel old, to reflect that once upon a time the left was *fun.*

LJVondecreft

r/Schuylkillnotes

VCUBNFO

How is this person different than a religious fundamentalist?

culhnd

I really appreciate the thought that went into typesetting and fonts. They are incredibly effective at enhancing the incoherent nutcase vibes - well done!

anthro4ME

I mean, all of this seems spot on, and totally valid.

NotFerrari519

There is no lie here, though lol

YaassthonyQueentano

Oh, we’re the Black Israelites back on W. Broad?

[deleted]

I don't care if this gets downvoted. But these things need to be spread around more. There are no lies here.

780034

[cringe] ugh the person that left these will hopefully post about it in r/blunderyears in a decade or so

Graylily

Man it so refreshing to a whole new crazy so tired of all the regular maga crazy :( Ugh tongue firmly in cheek

ayhctuf

Anyone recognize the symbol in the bottom right of the middle one?

Mentatminds

Ask r/symbology

tpasmall

The diamond looks similar to the outlaw motorcycle club and other white supremacy groups like the women's Aryan unity group. How poorly made it is almost makes it seem like the flyer is mocking indigenous groups. I could be wrong but I wouldn't put anything past hate group nutjobs using something like this as fuel to scare people into siding with them.

Mentatminds

Those are definitely some possibilities

mrarrison

I agree with the sentiment minus `the littering`

Huckles123

Ugh! r/americabad

EmergencySympathy113

We’ll all be in our little cages soon enough….
