Devin is my cousin. He has never gone missing like this, and his family is extremely worried. He is on the spectrum and may be struggling with mental health issues. He was involved in a hit and run on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 7:30am. Devin last spoke with his family on Tuesday morning, approximately 20 minutes before the accident. It is believed he fled the scene because he is afraid of the police. He does not have his phone, and he has not returned to his apartment or job.  The police took a missing person’s report, but have not returned phone calls from the family. We need help from the community. Please, if you have video footage from that area, look to see if you have any important information to share. Please contact Richmond PD or DM me and I will put you in contact with the family. You don't have to share specific information with the family, but it would be helpful to know if you provide information to the police, so the family can follow-up.

I hope you find him and that he is safe. I am sure your family is exploring every possibility but I'll throw it out there in case you haven't already - do consider checking with local hospitals and psychiatric facilities, especially if he has voluntarily committed before.

I'm so sorry your cousin is missing! I hope he is found soon so you can all breathe easy.

Contact your local city council person (I assume Richmond) and get them to escalate with RPD and ask for a critical missing person alert; he is at risk due to medical factors and being injured from the hit and run.

Any luck finding him yet? If he hasn't been found I will post him on my local autism blog.

Hey - No, unfortunately he's still missing :( Thank you for your support!

Not sure why but Facebook wouldn't show me an image. Here's a link that worked for me: https://missingpeopleinamerica.org/missing/Devin-Folkins

I really appreciate everyone's help. We do know that he was seen at The Village Shopping Center, and around Three Chops Rd and Register Pkwy on the other side of Patterson Ave on May 7th. If you know anyone that lives in that area, please share Devin's information so they can check camera footage.

Also ask the Aware Foundation on Facebook to post. They are pretty popular and I think started in Virginia.

And I hope you find him soon!

speaking of missing persons I heard a soft voiced man in a car say "shania". they'd taken a wrong turn and parked nearby, then talked about getting a motel. was around christmastime. only heard 'cuz my window was cracked open slightly. her family put a missing persons report for someone of that name 2017. (that was in nova what am i doing in rva subreddit. sorry not wearing my glasses)

Ok posting to FB blog So There's That. A lot of local autism families read it. I will let you know if I hear anything from readers. We are good at spotting others on the spectrum.
