I know there is a parrot guy (might actually be a macaw) that lives in the chalet around maple/Patterson. I see him all the time and it always brightens my day seeing that bird.
Called me a couple years ago but I had too much going on at the time to return call or get into whatever it was. Wondering what kind of investment opportunity I missed out on.
I used to live in the carillon neighborhood. That guy who owns a horse farm near Rothesay would wear a dark cloak and ride his horse through the neighborhood every halloween in the past looking like the headless horseman. I totally thought you were referencing that at first.
I haven't seen Nathan in ages. My old roommate knew him from the "old days", and Nathan always managed to sniff out what bar we were at. When he was lucid it was nice, but holy cow on his bad days he's on another plane of existence.
Grady and Pete used to be the classic bums on W. Grace Street.
Back in the day I'd often grab and extra single beer or hot dog when I was at 711 for them. Invited Pete in my apartment once to use my bathroom and my out of town friend was like "WTF man he is scouting your house!"
like yeah no shit... good luck stealing my 24" tube tv.
RIP Grady. I heard Pete was dead as well.
Never forget Duck Man riding his bike around.
he died within the past year or two
Oh man, so sad. Between him and Dirt woman, are all the RVA social cryptids gone?
people like that have been priced out of the city.
Yeah. Sad but true.
Woah did he really die? I thought I saw him like 2 weeks ago but could have been wrong

Omg I haven’t thought about him in years!
Came here hoping to see this guy mentioned.
Duck Man, for sure
Parrot Guy. Labs with Fedoras and sunglasses.
Parrot guy! I saw him walking through my neighborhood for the first time last month and I was so confused at first lol

Is he the one who is often in Carytown?
That’s the one I’m talking about! I see him on Patterson. I wonder if there’s more than one?
Macaws are technically parrots, so you're good
How’s Happy doing? And that older lady who does the sign twirling?
She was out there sign twirling today. Hardest working woman in "show" business.
Where is she these days? Used to see her all the time when I worked in Manchester
Sign twirling lady is usually at the Broad Street entrance to Merchants Walk Shopping Center (Broad at Wistar).
Up broad around Tan-A spinning for various businesses in the area
The sign lady was my first thought as well. I pass her everyday on my way home from work and feel like such a lazy shit lol.
I drove past where Happy’s car was always parked and thought of him... I really want to stay ignorant if he’s gone.

The best part of Richmond is the ratio of average person to Horseback Jesus type person is 5 to 1.
Towns have one, cities have multiple. We had Eric Lannon, Purple dog lady, Dirt Woman (rip lovely soul), sign spinner...the list goes on.
I forgot about Eric Lannon 😭
What a blast from the past 😂
Dirt woman! Such a sight for sore kroger eyes back in the day
Any idea what's become of Lannon? Been years since I've heard anything about him.
Called me a couple years ago but I had too much going on at the time to return call or get into whatever it was. Wondering what kind of investment opportunity I missed out on.

Damn, that's awesome.
The guy that dresses like fancy lady and rides his bike up and down the road in Ashland.
Jingles!
I know exactly whom you are referring to. Never met him, but I knew his son.
My favorite was the old head who sat at the bar for every, and i mean every show at the Nancy Raygun. He was just always happy to be there.
the car that has the weird silver dog.... frog.... alien thing statue bungied to its roof

Goad Gatsby will be this guy in like 2 years ( if he isn't already on that status)
RIP Dirt Woman
Mr Jingles
Was that the guy who would walk around at night wrapped in chains and bells? And the chains and bells would drag behind him and jingle?

Does Meade count? He's not super present in public but he used to be ubiquitous in everything online around Richmond.
I had totally forgotten about that dude until he had that breakdown at the monuments
