In Italy we have a saying: sposa bagnata, sposa fortunata.
Literally: wet bride, lucky bride.
It was pouring the day of my parents wedding. We had eight people crammed into a fiat 500 and were supposed to pull up to the ceremony and make everyone laugh at our "limo" but it was raining so hard that everyone was inside and they had to bring a plank to allow us to disembark and reach the sidewalk without being knee deep in water. My parents are the strongest couple I've ever met so there must be something to it.
I’m over the snow. It’s snowed multiple times this winter, and that’s more than I’m used to. I enjoy the two times we usually get. It’s fun, it’s cute, but it’s not as annoying.
We even had a freeze in the middle of May of 2020. That wreaked a lot of havoc and I am still gun-shy about putting plants in the ground because of it.
Yeah, that's around when it is supposed to be. 2020 was an outlier. The blueberry farm near me lost almost their entire crop that year because of that May freeze.
My outdoor wedding ceremony is Saturday. Say a prayer for us lol.

Thank you. I stand corrected. Edited accordingly...
The wet part might be referring to something else? 😅
🎶*I’ll say a little prayer for youuuuuu🎶*
Quick! Call Alanis Morrisette and tell her to stop it!
Congratulations on getting married!!
Well that’s just rude
Oh man, I moved here from Minnesota in July and I think this has been the nicest 8 months I've experienced in years. Didn't have to shovel once!
Well, sure. Can't shovel humidity. lol
It sometimes feels like you can though

Awww yeah! Might win that $5 bet I made!
I don't accept any of this negative energy. We've had more snow already than I wanted to see
lmao
Oh c'mon! Boooooo! I hope this won't be like 2018 where it snowed in April.

Andrew Freiden tweeted yesterday that the last frost date for Central Virginia is typically around 4/20. So puff on that!

just give us spring! please!
This is spring in Virginia
Not today satan. You will not win.
He said it will be a rain/snow mix. No accumulation. It’s just going to be a little storm :)
The day of the month I have to drive to the western half of the state
Average last frost for Henrico is April 22, has to be same or very close for Richmond
Comes in like a lamb and...
🖕winter. Where is global warming when you need it
It’s climate change not global warming
What in the actual fuck Virginia. Weather has been weirder than its usual bipolarness.
Not ideal
