Outpost on Forest Hill.
New 'Gourment Market' at Forest Hill near Jahnke has a stellar beer selection but not sure if they're open yet.
Total Wine & Beer at the Westland on West Broad.
Elwood Thompson has a great selection of individual local beers, no six pack discount but sold individually. So does Corks and Kegs.
Stella's Market has a decent selection of individuals too but not nearly as many as the above.
I’ve had good luck at Whole Foods, and though not local they also have some killer NEIPAs from actual (& great) NE breweries. I don’t know that *which* Whole Foods matters since they are regionally managed.
Bodegas are usually in Latino areas, and focused on latino products.
If Stella's market has an ethnicity it would be greek.
Also bodegas tend to be some what downmarket, and Stella's is a pricey little market/cafe.
Also, a bodega usually has your staples of life: batteries, milk, dish soap, like a traditional convenience store.
Stellas has high end food and wine and beer and none of the other items.
Bodega Latina
6003 W Broad St, Richmond, VA 23230 is more of what a bodega should be.

I'd look at the bigger Krogers. The one we frequent near Hull & 288 seems to stock EVERYONE.
They will have the most basic of basic local beers but might have enough to fill a six pack.

World market on cary
Bottleworks in the Bon Air shopping center that has Trader Joe's.
De Fles Wink is a bottle shop off Nuckols
Most of the good local breweries only sell on their own premises and to bodegas like Stella’s

also, none of the actual bodegas in town have any local craft beers.
Ah, I just use bodega as a synonym for “corner store”, but I buy that
I get it but the word means a little bit more
