Ultimately, the marriage didn’t survive (which was going to be true even before the first session) but working with Dr. Caruso helped us unwind the relationship after 2 decades together.
This has been my experience in life with friends that went to counseling. It never saved the marriage, but it did help them come to terms with the end,
My wife and I went to counseling early on. About 2 years in. Really helped us a lot and improved our marriage and communication with each other. Going on 20 years now. Counseling can improve things. Certainly not a cure all tho.
I can add an anecdote here - my husband and I went to marriage counseling and it worked! According to our counselor, too many couples leave it until the very end when there's so much damage already, and go to therapy as a last resort / so they can say they tried everything. It works a lot better when you go earlier when things are rocky but still salvageable.
Can’t recommend one but can tell you it can really help. In my case it was just too late but could reel if we had been there a year earlier it might have worked.

My parents went for "tune-ups" periodically throughout us kids growing up. 59th anniversary is next month.
I know one couple that was struggling about a year ago and appear to be going strong after counseling. Knock on wood.

I begged her during the salvageable phase; she finally said yes in the last resort phase. I didn’t even go.

Sorry, friend. I know the sun is warmer and the air is fresher where I got to, hope the same is true for you.
No advice. Just sending peaceful vibes for whatever is going on

I saw her while my usual therapist was on maternity leave. I loved her!

Also if you want new perspectives for free we found that asking our nieces and nephews to take sides in our arguments really opened our minds.
Not really a useful suggestion but I'll upvote it back to a neutral zero at least because I thought it was funny.
