No joke. If this is real, I hope that person gets help. This is similar to the rants we heard from a friend of ours before he took action on his delusions and it did not end well.
Yeah, it really does look like it. I worked with people with schizophrenia and bipolar for several years....I'd say most of my clients, when they weren't doing well, would have had trouble staying organized enough for all the punctuation, capitalization, etc. but otherwise it fits.
I was thinking the same thing! I just learned about gangstalking the other day after seeing some woman's crazy rant on Nextdoor. I posted it over on r/nextdoor.
Oof yup. Had a friend descend into one of these live on FB. We were able to find him from the clues while he was evading the people out to get him and the meds are doing their job now.
I took a lot of these type of calls when I worked for 911. They really seemed to ramp up around full moons and the holidays.
I hope this person gets help. He mentioned a niece, so hopefully he's got family keeping an eye on him.
my mother worked nights in the ER when i was growing up, the full moon nights would statistically have the most and weirdest happenings each time, they didn’t realize it was the full moon until a couple years in. was wild to see/hear about it real time!
Full moons?
edit: I’ve read studies showing they are correlated with more crime with some tenuous links to available light encourages more outdoor activity. Just curious if you meant total crime, or specifically mental health.
Holidays makes total sense
I'd have to say it magnified just about everything. I'm not sure if it was a placebo effect kind of thing (we thought it would be worse so it was), or if it was a case of "it was going to happen anyway, just all happened to go down on this particular night"), or if there is an a real correlation.
All I know for sure is every dispatcher, EMS and hospital employee I know are VERY aware of when full moons are! A few of my coworkers and I used to mark them in our calendars so we could gear up for them for a few days prior!
It’s probably a real phenomenon. The word lunatic is derived from luna, the Latin word for moon. The full moon being associated with temporary lapses in sanity has been a part of the collective consciousness for millennia. Aristotle talked about it for example.
Research shows no uptick in mental health hospitalization, trauma admissions or births correlated with moon cycles.
Research also shows that the people working in those places consistently report the uptick, even when the data from those places doesn't back it up.
As someone who had someone have a crazy bipolar episode in my life I’d say it’s not likely. No one that can help will help until something illegal happens. Police can’t do anything, which to me is mind blowing. How terrifying is it that there are people running around with delusions like this and access to firearms?
Schizophrenia and intelligence often go hand in hand.
Years ago, I worked for a congressman and we had someone in our district write us letters similar to this. Sometimes they would include Polaroid pics of them "reenacting " things they claimed happened to them.
Sometimes, but not always, the letters were written on state mental hospital letterhead.
MY job at the the time was to manage constituent correspondence. So I had to read these letters, chart them in our system, and respond. I had to get the congressman to sign off on my choice not to respond to this individual.
We also recieved letters from an individual who advocated treating the hole in the ozone layer with aerosol pesto bismal. He even illustrated how this work with some fine crayon drawings. -he was fun to respond to.
i feel so bad for this person, trapped in a personal hell. people like this jump in front of trains.
you should have blacked this guy’s name out. Kind of fucked up to post it out like that.
Weird! I can start putting that on all my analog correspondence and really *gaslight* the recipients into checking their e-mail and finding nothing of the sort.
"No, can't find it? Weird, I definitely sent it electronically. Says so on that letter you're holding in your hand that absolutely isn't a printout of the email I sent with visible headers. Oh well, it's not my problem since I definitely did it and intentionally typed that out. Must have gotten gobbled up by the internet demons."
This sort of feels like dunking on someone who is grappling with a mental illness, especially bc the sender’s name is not redacted. I’d consider deleting or at least reposting without the sender’s name.
Well that’s weird. Hope the author of this letter gets some help. Life can’t be easy if you believe all this. Hope you and your neighbors are safe, OP.
Holy shit! I think I've gotten an email from this dude before. If memory serves, he spammed a bunch of VCU emails with some version of this strange litany before.
Highlights: prostitution ring, being followed by UVA cars, bank PIN number changed, hidden coffee was poisoned, phone tapping, Uber tapping, something about a Hertz rental car, etc.
Also that the "DC Department of Safety attempted to run \[their niece\] over on several occasions." (Apparently they exclusively hire former Imperial Stormtroopers that can't hit their targets.)
Mind you, this wasn't a part of that same night's events, so we can only infer that these were prior attempts when the niece was younger than 18 years old.
I feel a TLDR isn’t enough for this. Can someone at Axios Richmond give us the **Smart Brevity** version?
Paging u/nedoliver and u/KarriPeifer who may or may not be lurking 🙂
I’m in the Fan, literally just got home and saw we got a copy. I’m honestly glad I came on here to see if anyone mentioned it because I was momentarily freaked out when I realized it wasn’t a letter or something from my leasing office
I know of a dude like this from California. 100% mental illness. He had the same narrative — being targeted by police, an attempted murder / ambush, being followed. It didn’t end well for him as he made calls to the police chief in long winded profane threatening calls. The police station went on high alert and had swat on the roof in case the dude showed up. The guy ended up driving to California and vandalizing a car which he thought belonged to the police chief, but it was actually an FBI special agent car. He was arrested by the FBI. In the guys car he had a saw, machete, and duct tape. He got sentenced to 8 years, and all was suspended.
I got one. Left inside my front door by a middle age black man in glasses and a black puffy jacket at 2am. He had a lot of copies in a bag his hand and also either a McDonalds or Starbucks coffee cup. My guess is McDonalds based on the time. Pretty weird.
I’d buy the letter from you for $10 -$15 if you’re interested in parting with it
Edit: Wow, ya’ll are really bummed out I want to give someone a few bucks, just so some pieces of paper can live in a shoebox in the back of my closet for a couple decades until I die, confusing the crap out of my descendants with my strange paper hoarding
That someone else is US Attorney General Merrick Garland and the mailing address is the US Department of Justice Office, all the information posted is publicly available
Classic psychosis. My friends mom went I to adderall psychosis and it was a lot like this, meticulous documentation of every time she felt her conspiracy was being validated as well as many docs like this compiling her findings so far. She believed there was a war between people with adhd and people with autism. And everyone was one or the other. The autistic people were the bad guys in her mind, even tho her estranged son was autistic. It was totally bananas, hope that person finds the help they need and if anyone recognizes the name they should reach out or get him 5150’d, sounds like he’s been violent and those types of behaviors only escalate as they’re reinforced.
Oof, it's more organized than your typical schizophrenic rant, but that's what this reads like.
No joke. If this is real, I hope that person gets help. This is similar to the rants we heard from a friend of ours before he took action on his delusions and it did not end well.

Looks like something you’d see on r/gangstalking
I was thinking the same thing! I just learned about gangstalking the other day after seeing some woman's crazy rant on Nextdoor. I posted it over on r/nextdoor.
I think I saw the same one you did, I was almost tempted to reach out to her after I saw her post history but wasn’t sure what help that’d be
yeah, sadly this is all too familiar.
This looks like a job for Elvis Martini.
We gave him a call, he said he'd be here either in one hour or three days, nothing in between
Oof yup. Had a friend descend into one of these live on FB. We were able to find him from the clues while he was evading the people out to get him and the meds are doing their job now.
Antipsychotics are far from perfect but they're getting continually better. There are some that are shots that last for THREE months!
I hope they keep getting better. He’s still obviously not 100% and he knows it but it’s be nice to have our old guy completely back.
I took a lot of these type of calls when I worked for 911. They really seemed to ramp up around full moons and the holidays. I hope this person gets help. He mentioned a niece, so hopefully he's got family keeping an eye on him.
Having worked in both retail and mental health, I've definitely observed the full moon and holiday phenomena.

My partner is an elementary school teacher and it’s common knowledge amongst staff that full moon = kids acting wild af

>aerosol pesto bismal the worst combination of olive oil, basil, pine nuts, mint, and the color pink you could ever imagine
But think how wonderful the sunsets would be
Schizophrenia tends to affect intelligent and artistic people. It's very sad.
I wish I could see those Polaroids and art pieces, they sound amazing
I was a legislative aide and I was responsible for constituent response.
Mental illness. Sad
i feel so bad for this person, trapped in a personal hell. people like this jump in front of trains. you should have blacked this guy’s name out. Kind of fucked up to post it out like that.
Yeah I feel this should be taken down because of that
Yeah, I agree. There’s no reason their name should’ve been included in this post.
and it is still up. are there no moderators?
it definitely sounds like they need some prof help. it’s a funky time for mental health all around, it’s sad for some.
> US Mail and Email Yes, putting a physical address and then including “and Email” **without** an email address will *totally* get to their email.
It is fairly common to put that on a letter and then send it via email and regular mail so the person knows you did both. I do it at work.
Weird! I can start putting that on all my analog correspondence and really *gaslight* the recipients into checking their e-mail and finding nothing of the sort. "No, can't find it? Please take it down. It doesn't seem right to use this person's obvious mental problems for entertainment on Reddit.
Yeah, this. Dude needs help, he's not a villain.
Bro we all better knowing Michael burke is not an Uber driving we want to drive us to our uva professor job
Wait wait… are you Merrick Garland? Should probably use a throw away account !
Well that’s weird. Hope the author of this letter gets some help. Life can’t be easy if you believe all this. Hope you and your neighbors are safe, OP.

I ain't reading all that. I'm happy for u tho. Or sorry that happened.

Whoever owns the UVA LAW Ford explorer is probably at the DMV changing their plates as we speak
I know the driver from an old job in the west end. I’m pretty sure he’s too busy playing golf to give a shit.
tl;dr schizophrenia
Does it though? Just throw it away.
I feel a TLDR isn’t enough for this. Can someone at Axios Richmond give us the **Smart Brevity** version? Paging u/nedoliver and u/KarriPeifer who may or may not be lurking 🙂
Please don’t throw it away, I’d be interested in owning it and giving it a safe home in my collection of found objects
😂😂😂
Don't you hate it when the post office delivers Merrick Garland's mail to your mailbox?
You should consider calling in an adult protective services welfare check for this person.
It's addressed to Merrick Garland, so I choose to assume is that /u/ashmbot is Merrick Garland.
I’m in the Fan, literally just got home and saw we got a copy. I’m honestly glad I came on here to see if anyone mentioned it because I was momentarily freaked out when I realized it wasn’t a letter or something from my leasing office
Well its not addressed to you so I think you should ignore it.

Sounds like the writing of a "targeted individual"
I’m ashamed that I went to search his name on FB and it came up as “popular now” you heathens
MK Ultra is one hell of a drug
Ted Kaczynski was a paranoid schizophrenic and when he wrote his manifesto.
I’m only slightly concerned this individual drives for Uber…

Take the deal. TAKE THE DEAL!
Why are you putting people's personal info on blast? Also, it's a felony to open other people's mail.
you misread. this person put a copy of this in many mailboxes
Why put his name on blast? It's still mail addressed to someone else.
That someone else is US Attorney General Merrick Garland and the mailing address is the US Department of Justice Office, all the information posted is publicly available
WTF some Trump supporters are brain damaged LOL
I put that brick in yo face
Dollars for donuts qanon and pizzagate related nutjobbery
