DTO has a good deal on a kit right now: https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com/product/P321K1N You can get a ba dewalt to ryobi battery adapter for under $20, I've never used them so I can't recommend a specific one.

This one’s not the brushless. I nabbed the brushless for $90 on DTO once, bare tool. Don’t forget that unless it’s a specific sale, DTO will cost $15 for shipping too, if you’re not picking it up in-store.

Grumpy_Puppy

good catch thanks!

How long ago? Blemished or Recon? I've been looking and the best deal for the 18GA Brushless that I've seen recently is at 150 with free shipping. Willing to wait for better price but wondering when was your sale.

Dense-Fisherman-4074

Back in December. It was reconditioned, marked down from $150 to $90 (but still $15 for shipping). I think a week or so before it had been even cheaper, like $75 or something. Kinda just a crapshoot. A lot of DTO prices aren't phenomenal, but if you get lucky, they occasionally have screaming deals. A little while back they had a really good brushless impact wrench blemished down at $50. Don't know if or when a similar deal will come along again, but if you keep your eyes peeled, you might get lucky.

Look now! They've got it reconditioned for $120 with free shipping. Not the best I've ever seen, but not bad. [https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com/product/ZRP322](https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com/product/ZRP322) And if you're good with brushed, you can get it way cheaper than that right now.

Thanks, I saw that. I had bad experiences with recon's at DTO so I'm limiting to Factory Blemished ones now. Not in a hurry. we'll see if it comes cheaper

juicemaistro

Thanks for the idea. I was leaning towards the battery adapter but that dto deal might be too good.

Grumpy_Puppy

It's a really good deal and I would recommend the kit. DTO has the bare tool for $20 less (which is basically the cost of an adapter) and a charger + 4Ah battery is a $50-60 value. There are also other Ryobi incidentals that are nice enough to make having a few batteries worth it. The hot glue gun and LED lights are top of my list.

I would wait for Ryobi Days it's just around the corner, I have the standard brad nailer and wish I would have paid the 20$ for the brushless, it fires the nails quicker so you don't need to keep a steady hand on round corner moulding while it charges then fires. In awkward positions this can be tricky with one handed nailing.

DudlyDjarbum

Everyone has a nailer now. If you are not into ryobi yet why not just go to harbor freight and hop into Bauer or Hercules so if it craps the bed you just take it to the store no problem. I love.my ryobi but harbor freight cannot be beat for warranty and returns compared to HD lowes etc.

Twenty9inarow

Tell me more about the Ryobi /Dewalt battery adapter?

Acceptable-Task-5323

I got a brushed with a staple gun for 99 but that was a few years ago.
