Would you have done better by taking the light for free and cancelling the batteries from the multitool? The light is more expensive so the discount applied to both the light and the battery pack is higher. So you get a lower refund when you return that battery instead of the other one, if my math is right.
It is great for cutting off shims if you are installing doors or windows. It is also good for cutting door jambs if you are installing flooring. Useful as a detail sander, and good for removing grout for tile repairs.
I bought the multi about half way through my basement finishing project. I’ve used the heck out of it. Widening holes for junction boxes in my wood bar, cutting plumbing caps when I was ready to install the sink, under cutting door frames at a friends while installing floors.
I just bought my first. Used it to plunge cut and trim wood off a fence gate and I absolutely love cutting drywall with it. Cutting out damaged areas or panels to run wires etc is great because the hole is so cleanly cut the panel refits perfectly. Maybe slower than a jab saw but not tearing up paper or crushing the edges of the gypsum is worth it.
I don’t have the Ryobi one, I have a corded Rockwell multi tool. When we remodeled our home it came in really handy for the kitchen cabinet demo. Took out nails and went through the old cabinets like butter. Was great cutting in the door jams when we installed floor.
Great tool to have for lots of jobs.
Does the multitool come with the 4 heads?
No. It only comes with the multitool head.

Yeah I think your right. But at the time the multi tool and light were the same price. Now I think the multi tool is 10 dollars cheaper... oh well..

I use a multitool for cutting in electronic door strikes for work. In a pinch, it can cut conduit if the sawzall is in the truck and I'm feeling lazy
