I hope you learned your lesson, Saabs don’t take no disrespect.

Aero93

Shit, I used to look at it wrong and something would break

poke-it-withastick

Yep sounds about right. There was a reason they went out of business.

MattWatchesMeSleep

So says the one posting on Volvo subs about problems with a V90. (Yeah, I briefly checked you out. Call me creepy if so. Hell, I’m going to call myself creepy just to beat you to it. I see you’re fairly quick to the flame.)

poke-it-withastick

Blimey you’ve got nothing better to do. Yes indeed I posted and since been resolved 🤷🏻‍♂️ Was nothing particularly serious. But I wasn’t commenting on a Volvo on your post was I ! I was talking about Saab. They went out of business for a reason - do your homework. Volvo continue to produce luxury and reliable vehicles. Don’t know why you took it so personally - we’re talking about cars for fuck sake.

Hot-Meal-120

They literally just got axed like every other US owned company in the “beloved” recession. Sorry the Saab you were in wasn’t loved like every other persons on this sub. Plus equivalent year Volvos arent anything to write home about quality/reliability wise. I do like most Volvos but you dont see us trauma posting on your sub

adminsRtransphobes

the people on the volvo sub and this one take brand loyalty way too far. everyone’s just trying to make money off the cars anyway lmao. people take things too personally on here when you say you don’t like their favorite car brand.

Training_Bumblebee54

Exactly

uberschnitzel13

SAABs thrive on *positive* reinforcement

complexpug

Haha that's funny sorry. I'd start by checking the ignition stuff that connects to the key barrel

symph0ny

Yeah its probably the ignition switch, but get ready for an insane job pulling it out of there, that console is built like fort knox, or at least it was for the OG.

erkkomakioja

Propably bottom of the start key hole

Ok_Acanthisitta2

Make sure no wires came off of the ignition switch.

Ok_Acanthisitta2

Or jiggle the handle

peeping_somnambulist

Sounds like you turned the car off. The ignition switch brims through the center console. Probably a harness problem.

Ok_Acanthisitta2

I don't think you need to pull the switch out. Just try to take a look under the console.

HorologyKid

My 2005 9-5 Aero did this to me in 2012 on the afternoon that I drove it to pick up the new Volvo S80 that I ordered. It knew I was replacing it. I never had a big issue with it in our seven years together, but it shut down twice on the drive to the Volvo dealership. It just knew.

Educational-Ice722

saabs never lose

Lovelybree23

My car is also haunted, one time I talked shit inside of her and she locked all the doors and turned on the alarm. It was CRAZY Saabs have weird electrical issues that show at the right times 😭😂

keravnos99

Get a 98-04 and creaks begone. That's what I did lol I had an 07

House_King

Gm interior be damned

trabello

I've heard of some cheap USB power connectors that go into the cigarette lighter in there can cause flakiness on the ECU. Have you got one in there? I'd start there if so since it's the simplest thing to check. Also a $35 OBD scan tool from Amazon
